Thanks for watching! I'm starting to get really interested in this show UA-cam was VERY strict with copyrighted content in these openings so I had to mute/cut some :(
Check the endings too, they are just as good or even better. The show has pretty unique humor, not for everybody, but if you are in it's wavelength, appreciate good voice acting and open to some genre deconstruction, you'll love it. It's not just a comedy, the author puts on pages basically everything that comes to his mind. Comedy skits, parodies, random unrelated episodes, funny or touching or plot-heavy story arcs, etc. Out of 100+ animes I've watched this one stands out with its dialogue and character writing to the point where I can't take dialogues in most other animes seriously because of how tastless they feel after Gintama.
Gintama is probably 95% comedy. This really helps to elevate the times when it gets serious ( which are already very well done) to the point where the series has one of the best arcs in all of anime, and that is not an exaggeration. That being said the series can be hard to get into because it really leans hard into humor for a long time, but if you stick with it you might find it to be one of the most enjoyable anime series you ever watch.
Definitely my favourite anime ever! It’s such a beautifully crafted story, with loads of great comedy, incredible character writing, and some real emotional depth. Also episode 3 isn’t filler. 1 and 2 are but 3 is where it starts, definitely don’t skip episode 3!
Oh man, this show... I have watched almost every episode of Gintama between the numbers 1-8 times now, I am sure lol My favorite show, my favorite MC, and I genuinely enjoy every character in it -which is rare for me who tends to hyper focus and only really care about one character. Gintama was the first show/video/form of entertainment that managed to make me laugh out loud and has done so multiple times now. I do laugh easier now, but back then I was stone-faced until suddenly, one day when I was watching Gintama(not for the first time), I was laughing. Gintama made me laugh until I cried. It meant a lot to me. Gintama as a show is flawed filled with cliches, low budget, so many references that go over my head, and toilet humor. And I adore it with all my heart. This show really is something special to me. I know Gintama and copyright goes well in hand, but I hope you will do the endings as well:) Edit: My bad spelling
Gintama it's definitely the best comedy and shonen anime I ever watched, it's true that is like 80% comedy and 20% serious stuff, but I hope you give it a chance, this show knows how to make people laugh a lot and ten minutes later make cry. The serious arcs are incredible and the fights scenes are better than you can expect. There's a lot of characters but every one of them has a unique and strong look and personality, and the autor takes the time to develop each one of them. 32:48 I would love to see you react to all of this. PD. just the first two episodes are filler, the third one is the real start of the story.
At first it kinda slow in terms of pacing becuase they are mainly character introduction and world building so dont expect much actions and plot progression. And most will just categorized the show as comedy one and not like other shounen but when the serious arc hits and a loveable casts did actually die, thats when you will feel like "they say that it is just a funny show". Just enjoy the slow episodes early on because the end part of the show will be less and less on the joke side but more on a dark and tragic. It is such a rollercoaster emotion show which you will find yourself laughing and then the tone switch will lead you to having tears in your eyes. Still the best and unique show ive ever watch.
Peak show, this show makes you laugh until you choke and cry like there is a hole in your body (sometimes other way around). The pacing is very 2000s so you might have to stand that, but it’s worth the journey
The Show is good for Anime veterens who want to take a break from anime cliches. The Story progression is slow but great... the comedy is great. The ending is perfect. One of the best Anime Cast ever... from OP to ED and even on the show you can see all the characters and its makers are having fun!! going all out with their ideas.
Biggest gintama arcs base on their opening: -Opening 1 and 2 stand alone episode doesnt have big arc -Opening 3 | Benizakura arc -Opening 4 | Yagyu arc -Opening 5 | Shinsengumi crisis arc -Opening 6 | Yoshiwara in flames arc(one of the longest gintama arc) -Opening 7 | Otsu arc/otaku arc, comedy arc but contains some sad moment -Opening 8 | Red Spider arc(Benigumoto) -Opening 9 | Four devas arc(my favorite arc) -Opening 10 | Renhou arc(longest comedy arc) -Opening 11 | Thorny arc(baragaki) -Opening 12 | Kintama(testical😂) arc -Opening 13 | Courtesan of nation and lightsaber style arc -Opening 14 | doesnt have a big arc -Opening 15 | shinigami arc -Opening 16 | mostly comedy arc,but later contain litte bit shogun Assassination arc -Opening 17 | Shogun Assassination and Farewell Shinsengumi two gintama best arc -Opening 18 | Rakuyou arc, other gintama best arc😂 -Opening 19 | slip arc,in this season just pure comedy -Opening 20 & 21 | silver soul arc,Ending of gintama.
Man I don't know why I cried last 3 seasons of opening song... I think it been 3 years and that last 3 op got me emotional I think. damn if people know last 3 seasons openings, then you know what happened for those rollercoaster ride of peak arcs. 😭 Also I downloaded some of openings songs too "know know know" by DOES hits so hard that I cried at there.
@@SuwaydThe1stLike the comment said, the songs you said sound familiar, are by DOES. DOES did the 15th opening for Naruto shippuden, called "Guren" and since their style is pretty recognizable, you can hear the similarities.
Sadly you didn't watch the list that contains the special openings also you should watch the endings (1-30) they're debatably better than the openings and there's also something called Yorinuki Gintama-san op & end (aprox 1-6 the 6th one cant be found) its a rerun but they made new openings and endings for those I made some playlist on those with the correct ammount i can't share links so theire in my chanell As someone who ranks Gintama as their #1 show, I have to admit that it often gets overhyped by fans. It's better to approach it with lower expectations because it’s not exactly what it seems from the usual UA-cam clips (aside from the unhinged stuff like out of context vid and 1 sec of the show which is out of context 2). The show can be difficult to get into without a solid understanding of the many anime references, Japanese media, and cultural puns, especially those based on pronunciation, which don't always translate well. One can still enjoy it without all that knowledge (✋) but it's a bit more hard seeing a episode about a reference and one not understanding a thing. The Gintama main trio work as odd jobs basically doing almost anything for money so they end up doing normal stuff and ridiculous stuff so that they get money. Gintama is more like slice-of-life series, so its slow-paced showing the daily lives doing odd jobs. The early episodes (1-50something) are particularly slow, filled with outdated jokes and more old Japanese media or puns and a lot of slice-of-life moments its mainly to introduce people. From episode 50something to 100, the show becomes more unhinged, with sharper references and increasingly serious arcs. By episodes 101 to 201, it fully embraces both its chaotic humor and more intense storylines, a trend that continues through the 200s and 300s. For those looking to watch Gintama only for its fight scenes, it's probably better to don't watch the show or skip ahead to the episodes featuring them or check out highlight on UA-cam. The show focuses more on the jobs that they do and making fun of themselves, and the pacing can feel slow, especially for those unfamiliar with or uninterested in slice-of-life anime. Many viewers stop watching in the 50something episode range or after the 100s, even though the story begins to pick up around these points for most fans.
Bro firstly thank you for letting me know all this, I’ll defo watch it with lower expectations so it hopefully exceeds them and slice of life series sounds fun ❤️
@@SuwaydThe1st yeah you should start on episode 3. Also you don’t really need to worry about filler for the rest of the series there are only like 20 episodes of filler in the series and most of them are a lot better then the first two episodes. The only bad filler episodes that I can think of are like 2-3 episodes of recap but the show is pretty long so I find that most people who react to the show like the recap episodes.
Thanks for watching! I'm starting to get really interested in this show
