I always thought Matthew and her had a thing, Matt Le Blanc's dad did a tell all to the press saying that they used to make out backstage - and then we find out that her and David Schwimer were into each other!! At the end of the day she was the IT girl of the 90s, in personality and looks - they all wanted her!

So nice to see all of these guys and gals in their prime where they look great and sound so enthusiastic. These 6 people were the biggest TV stars of the 90s along with the cast of Seinfeld. Pre-Internet, celebrity was a rare commodity and the fact that even in that day & age they acknowledged the writers by giving them equal airtime along with the stars of the show speaks volumes 👍👍👍👍

Oh, believe you me, I care about Joey and Chandler's friendship a billion times more than I do or ever will about Ross and Rachel's romance.
But wow, I love this show and every single individual that worked on it. Here we only have a handful of the cast plus the creators/writers, and you can already clearly see their camaraderie and how they're just one happy, creative family, having fun making this series together.
Matthew perry was the "lightning in a bottle" whose influence led everyone else into this worldwide phenomenon.
I came here after watching Friends: Reunion (27May2021). Finally something good happened in 2021 after the Covid in 2020. Thank you F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Not much attention and credit has been given to the writers, producers and directors part in making Friends such a huge success.

I think it’s rare for the producers to honour cast natural characters and let them fit it into the show. Often they just dictate how the characters should…I think letting them be themselves as well as play the roles really made this a success

It’s ironic that Matthew and Jennifer had a close bond and in theory they could of ended up married because the writers originally wanted Courtney for Rachel which would of made Jennifer Monica.
But it's so good Courtney got monica and jen got Rachel .
Chandler and monica made the greatest pair according to me.
They were just amazing, never expected the twist but their love story was and will always be amazing.
Really miss them all.
They actually tried out for each others roles & Courtney said she'd rather be Monica & Jennifer Rachel

That was the problem, Ross and Rachel got together too fast and which led to that problems later on. Also it gave the iconic status to it.
I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I wasn’t as invested in Ross and Rachel being together as most viewers. I liked the idea of them getting together and the build up to it and I was initially glad when they got together.
I started to dislike Ross though, because of all the negative qualities they gave his character when he and Rachel were together. He became jealous, and insecure almost to the point of stalkerish, and selfish and unsupportive of Rachel’s happiness and excitement about finding the perfect career that paradoxically made her character a lot more interesting within the show and more likable to me. She gained confidence and lost the spoiled, irresponsible, shallow, pretty daddy’s girl personality that is such a common character type I probably would’ve gotten bored with her and might’ve started to dislike her too. (One of the things I loved about Friends was seeing the six in their various workplaces and occupations, fun and interesting to get all those workplace-comedy vignettes within the show that was not a workplace comedy.)
I didn’t really think this deeply about the characters while the show was running, but I’ve seen every episode so many times now I usually know the exact dialog coming next.
Just to wrap up on Rachel and Ross, they also had him sleep with the copy girl 5 minutes after they were on a break (lol) which made Ross unlikeable in a way that was completely opposite of clingy Ross.and again felt out of character for that character.
I loved the whole we-were-on-a break running argument and I thought both R and R were more interesting apart. Ross went back to being more normal and likeable (except when they turned him into a rageaholic over a sandwich.).
I was satisfied with getting R & R back together at the very end. I wouldn’t have wanted anything else for them, and I’m glad I don’t have to see Ross turn back into what happened to him last time. He was sure headed in that direction though with all of his conniving to manipulate Rachel into staying in NY instead of going to Paris.
I did like Monica and Chandler together, a whole lot. Didn’t see their pairing coming so that was a fantastic twist that...
If I don’t stop writing now there’s no telling how long this will go on and on and on.

Imagine this whole interaction without Matthew Perry. It would be just ordinary.
Heartbreaking to lose him so young. But at least he was able to write his book, and open a recovery place in CA. He said he wanted to be remembered for helping other people who struggle with addiction.

Well, I loved when Joe was smart. I really think they went over the top with his naivety bordering on stupidity. That was not that funny by season 6 and after that it became just boring.
Honestly there was other smart characters, it was way more funny that he was kind of dumb
