In the 80s, I and many of my "light minded" friends illegally smoked pot and stoned out of our heads. Now I am 68, I got high watching this. Life is STILL good. Thanks for the upload.
Eric Clapton is obviously one of the best. But I've never heard him be as good as he is here. Maybe Mark Knopfler inspired him to even greater heights! Nor have I ever heard Elton John tear loose on the keyboards like this!
no wonder Clapton could do with Andrew Fairweather Low as second guitarist, i guess he would have loved to keep Mark Knopfler, but he himself was too big of a star, such a professional artist he is, amazing....
Man o man, Eric was definitely at the top of his game in this concert!! Such great soul in his solos, creativity, phrasing, all simply beautiful work of art!
My personal opinion is Eric Clapton and his band there and Elton John and Mark just amazing what a gift thank you Mr Clapton and whoever put this here for me to listen to thank you thank you thank you
Unbelievable !!! What a GREAT change-up for the Cream songs. Eric and Mark get along just fine. I have NEVER heard Eric play or sing this great, never missing a note. He has to be proud of this gig. The bassist, drummer, keyboardist and the vocalist are quite GREAT. This band practiced, alot. This band gels so perfect. This was a night of ALL nights. Boy O Boy. The Cream in me screams...

Alan Clark on keyboards and Nathan East on bass, Mark Knopfler as second guitar. Looks like we could do something with such guys.
Too bad this doesn't have any of Knopfler's songs. "Romeo and Juliet," "Espresso Love," or "Sultans of Swing" would have been nice.
Don't forget the phenomenal talent Ray Cooper as you watch this.
My guitar parents! 😂

I was at this gig - working in Japan - now retired- never thought I'd see it all these years later!
At the end of the night, this BAND knew that THEY had made music history !!! You can see-it in their eyes...
