I’ve been all over the USA and Canada and I still think the view coming down the hill of the skyline is one of the best skyline views in North America.
Freewayjim exiting the tunnel and seeing Pittsburgh from the bridge is maybe a better view or nyc when you get close to jersey city. But this is easily top 5
I wish my dad would have been into road trips like you are! Getting him to go somewhere was like pulling teeth. I hope your son enjoys all the great rides and realizes how fortunate he is. You rock!
Retired in Florida now, but lived my first 65 years in Cincinnati. Awesome city. I have made these same drives hundreds of times. Watching this makes me homesick. Thanks for the video.
Having been through downtown Cincinnati on 71 a few times, I've always enjoyed the downtown section with the streets crossing the highway. Looks sharp :) Another fine video, Jim.
Thanks so much for posting this. I have not made this drive in 10 years, I remember coming into Cincinnati at night, it just took my breath away coming down that hill and over the bridge. I have watch this video many times.
Cincinnati has one of the most underrated skylines in the US. I love driving through that city. Love the video - keep them coming! Any chance that you'll do Minneapolis/St. Paul?
Whenever I drive that route going North, the theme from "WKRP in Cincinnati goes through my mind. That skyline has changed dramatically since that show was on the air!
Great video footage, thanks for sharing your video with us. My wife and I were there recently and the traffic was much worse than in your video!!! We were there during the day though
Thanks, I'm posting new vids every Monday and Friday. As for The Twin Cities I have no plans to go up there for at least the next couple years, it's just not someplace I have a reason to go to.
Great vid! I love the music as well. For those who don't know, that's a cover of Barry White's "Family Affair" by Maysa Leak. I'm a big fan of her's.. :)
coming down that big hill to the bridge provides one of the sexiest skyline pictures u can get in the Midwest or east, whichever you consider cincy to be.
what I wish I would see in Texas where I live are those standard purple mile markers posted in the median every 2/10 mile that I have noticed on google maps they have them in urban areas in Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky , Tennessee, and in Missouri, green mile markers (posted every 2/10 mile) are posted on the right and through the entire state in urban and rural areas. Sometimes posted every 1/10 mile in some cities of IN, Kenosha-Racine County WI, It would be fun to count.
@cochrab Thanks, that sounds like my dad too! My son & I enjoy our trips, we've been doing them since 2005. My wife has no use for these trips but thankfully she's not the type to keep me from doing them.
Are you going to do a video of Interstate 76 East Pennsylvania and Interstate 71 South to Columbus? Or maybe do Interstate 79 North to Erie Pennsylvania. Anyways awesome job on the video and love the music :)
It's funny you point out that the Brent Spence Bridge will "hopefully" be replaced in our lifetime. They're going to start working on a new one sometime this year or next. I can't remember when specifically though.
@drunkinpainter666 Thanks! I have never been to Minny, would love to someday. In the meantime YT user eluko79 has some really nice videos of that area.
The Kentucky side sight of Cincinnati is better but from what I hear, the "Cut in the hill" route has been changed. I loved Cincinnati. It was/is a great place to live and work. It has it's nasty dirty side that I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to live in, but even those spots add to the over all color of Cincinnati. I will say when I lived there the cops were more likely to pull a black guy over than a white guy and I am white. They were the perfect example of racial profiling at its worst and it was soooo obvious. I hope they've cleaned that up since I left in 01 but I doubt it.
You must be referring to what I like to call "West Cincinnati" which just to be perfectly clear is not an incorporated city/village but just an area that most refer to as "The West Side". One of Cinci's nicer looking neighborhood's is East Cincinnati's "Hyde Park". There just happens to be a Boston neighborhood of the same name where the Neponset river flows.
I’ve been all over the USA and Canada and I still think the view coming down the hill of the skyline is one of the best skyline views in North America.
Gotta agree, it's a pretty special view.
Freewayjim exiting the tunnel and seeing Pittsburgh from the bridge is maybe a better view or nyc when you get close to jersey city. But this is easily top 5
Seeing Vancouver from a distance is probably the best view I have witnessed.
I-30 into dallas from the west is pretty good too
I wish my dad would have been into road trips like you are! Getting him to go somewhere was like pulling teeth. I hope your son enjoys all the great rides and realizes how fortunate he is. You rock!
Thanks, I enjoy that stretch of road coming down the hill too, one of the best entrances to a city you'll fin in the country.
This was awesome! Love watching these to get an idea of where I’m going when I travel
Thanks, glad they help you.
Retired in Florida now, but lived my first 65 years in Cincinnati. Awesome city. I have made these same drives hundreds of times. Watching this makes me homesick. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching!
Cincinnati looks amazing after dark. Great footage, really soothing music to go along as well.
I have went through some of your videos and they are great. You definitely have an ear for music as well. Great job on all of these.
Thank you very much Daniel!

Awesome video. I love this! Cincinnati is awesome to visit.
This is terrific. Thank you for posting this.
Great shots of the new Great American Tower! For anyone wondering, it's the tall one with bright vertical construction lights.
Thanks for riding along :)
Whenever I drive that route going North, the theme from "WKRP in Cincinnati goes through my mind. That skyline has changed dramatically since that show was on the air!
Thank you so much!
Sweet! What a fun road vid this is! Plus, you such an awesome taste for good music! Keep up the great work! Peace! :)
How close yet so far, what may I have done for the foreseeable future, what I did that day, shall be remembered by those present.
Great video footage, thanks for sharing your video with us. My wife and I were there recently and the traffic was much worse than in your video!!! We were there during the day though
Thank you, man that's an oldie, thanks for watching!
@@Freewayjim You are most welcome!
New sub here supporting your channel now.
@prfsnlwannabe Thanks, I agree, Northbound lanes should be on top, that would be a really nice view.
Thanks, I'm posting new vids every Monday and Friday. As for The Twin Cities I have no plans to go up there for at least the next couple years, it's just not someplace I have a reason to go to.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Thank you, I like Cincinnati, I find it very interesting, hope to come back and film/photograph some more someday.
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that!
Interesting structures and lighning. I also like the video effect you use
In the downtown parts of the I-71, I really like how they illuminate the roadway between the tunnel and the links to I-75 and the bridge for Kentucky.
My hometown. Love it here
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Good choice on music. I always enjoy some Sly!
@the905sDW Thanks, I always enjoy visiting Cincy.
I Love Cincinnati
i really loved this videO
@booklover691: He was a good sport, we went to the riverfront with our cameras and tripods after we were done filming so that was incentive for him.
Thanks!
@mizpleasent Thank you! I have enough new footage from my recent trip that I'll be cranking out new ones through the next few months.
Great vid! I love the music as well. For those who don't know, that's a cover of Barry White's "Family Affair" by Maysa Leak. I'm a big fan of her's.. :)
I drove thru there all the time on my way to Arkansas.
@Bryant5493: Thanks, it was a camera exposure flash transition, playing with a free triel of goodies for a few weeks :)
@js30blackhawks2010 I agree, it's an underrated city, I always enjoy visiting there.
@tpewebmaster: The video footage is sped up around 3.5x, I'm more or less going normal driving speeds.
@kubek555 - Thanks, I use a Sony HCR-HD9

Cincinnati more of a southern city if anything
ahhh ive only been here once, and i was 5, so i dont remember it, but i hope to go to cincinnati soon. Very beautiful city.

How long ago was this? When my family and I went to Cleveland in early April, the I-90 from Willoughby to the PA line still read 65 MPH.
@ReporterHQ -I had my reasons, yeah it's a neat ride and view.
@cochrab Thanks, that sounds like my dad too! My son & I enjoy our trips, we've been doing them since 2005. My wife has no use for these trips but thankfully she's not the type to keep me from doing them.

*Correction* Sly & The Family Stone.. Barry White's version was a cover as well.. :)
Videos don’t do that Cincy skyline justice coming around that corner in Kentucky
I agree, it's much better in person.
from : Indianapolis
Cincinnati 105 mi.
Louisville 112 mi.
Gary 150 mi.
Chicago 182 mi.
The camera is set up on a tripod in the passenger seat, much of the time my son is with me running the camera but I can and have done it solo.
It's funny you point out that the Brent Spence Bridge will "hopefully" be replaced in our lifetime. They're going to start working on a new one sometime this year or next. I can't remember when specifically though.
Construction of the new path of Interstate 75 is current and should be done between 2020 and 2024.
Some roads are boring than others but in general, no I don't get bored while traveling.
@ir10031981 We have them here in Georgia too.
Speaking of Texas have you seen my Texas videos yet? New ones coming almost every other day.
your videos are super stable too. what kind of mounting do you use? thanks
Aww maysa my favorite female solo artist sounds like street fighter 3
@contenital Thanks, I probably would not film those routes, they aren't very interesting.
Crazy traffic but courteous drivers if this bridge was in Philly people would be flying around each other and you would hear horns beeping.
what camera do you use?great quality..super nice video ;)
Hey thats my neck of the woods lol
@0marigolds: Thank You : >)
You should have seen the view of the city skyline coming from Kentucky before they reconstructed the "Cut in the Hill" section of the highway.
@drunkinpainter666 Thanks! I have never been to Minny, would love to someday. In the meantime YT user eluko79 has some really nice videos of that area.
are you speeding or something?
your going like SO FAST!
This is great! Have you ever considered Columbus?
feel like im playing grand turismo
@FreewayTitan: I would agree.
You should have used the WKRP in Cincinnati theme song lol. That's the song I heard in my head lol. Awesome vids...
@udigginme24: It's just a hobby, thanks.
@tommyhale89 Not that I'm aware of.
@tommyhale89 $1.29 on iTunes.
@appleipodmpsa: haha.

any good jobs there
I don't live close to Cincinnati but I live in ohio
I Will Go There Until I Save Money
the speedlimit has been changed to 70mph in non urban areas in all of ohio. just a heads up!
This way is closed
This Video is nothing in comparison to the same one taken just a little later when it was actually dark.
What a disappointment
You're disappointed with a 14-year-old video? wow, I could not have made it through the day without knowing that.
