This picture is so freaking creepy. I love it so much, just the overall feel and horror of the whole thing is just amazing. Silent hill 3 was one of my favorites, it was the perfect blend of horror and reality.
I remember seeing this picture in a PlayStation magazine alongside a review of SH3, years before I would get a chance to play SH2, then 1 and 3. The disturbing world I imagined from the few pictures never quite connected with the games I later played, a shame. I always imagined this picture was some otherworldly (Bubble head) nurse wheeling an unconscious girl (Heather) through a subterranean area/cave to an unknown fate.

Sorry to comment on something so old, but I feel the same. I was a huge Resident Evil fan before ever trying Silent Hill. I saw reviews of the original at the time, and thought it was trying to ripoff RE so I kinda personally boycotted it. What a fool I was. My stepdad later bought SH3 when it was new and hated it, so he gave it to me. I was a Junior in high school at the time and this game redefined my fucking life, lol. Or at least as much as an overly-dramatic teenager would think it changed their life. I quickly played the entire series after that and loved them as well. I'd say I like the original least, SH2 second, and SH3 is still my favorite. Heather is my favorite protagonist still too. And the soundtrack from this game has stuck with me all these years later.

I have played all of them, and beaten all of them except Book of Memories. I have three in my PC prepped to play as a matter of fact lol, I have been playing loads of video games in my free time lol.

I was on the Bus coming home from work one night, I got off the bus about two villages before mine because there were some annoying attention whoring teenage girls acting cringeworthy [don't they all?] the quickest way to walk home is through this woodland path which knocks about 10-minutes off the journey, I walked home alone through the pitch black woodland trail using the shitty torch on my phone to light my way, all I thought of was this beautifully haunting soundtrack.
