I wanna do the conversion. I have a question about of how your throttle linkage was set up. Mine looks different. I’m tired of rebuilding the old mercruiser 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
It bolted off 2 of the 4bolts for the exhaust. It has been a few years now so don’t remember exactly what I had to do. I just sold the boat and it still was running awesome. The new owner was impressed on how well it started and ran. And was familiar with mercs
Jared Evans ok. Thanks! Did you have to reroute the throttle linkage. My linkage and all other 3.0 linkages cross perpendicular to the long axis of the engine but it appears the Weber linkage links parallel. Just trying to figure out if it will work. Thanks again
So I don’t remember exactly but I feel like it was a reroute. The cable comes off the back wall I think I had to unscrew the adjustment all the way and it was perfect. If I am remembering right. I remember it being easy and instructions were good and it only irked one way.
what size fuel line did u need? Also did u need any other fittings to add that rubber fuel line to the carb pressure fitting? Looking to buy a carb from them
So I had hardline that came all the way up to where you see the fuel line go to rubber. The kit came with a barb fitting for the carb so I cut the flare off the hardline and with a flaring tool bulged the end and went 3/8 (I believe) rubber line
I have sold the boat at this point but from what I remember it was adjustable jets on the front and back of the carb but I might be thinking of the air fuel screw. I remember the directions being pretty good on the kit for adjustment not so good for install. You may start from the beginning in the adjustments before you go changing jets.
I have not done an update video but the carb is still flawless running strong. Cold start is awesome, starts in negative degree temps. I am super happy with it has been way more reliable than the merc crap. I would do it again without question.
I do not have time at the moment to do an update on the water. But if you’re having issues with throttle response at Lohan sounds like you need to adjust your air fuel screws there at the bottom of the carburetor right before bolts to the manifold and there’s one on each side front and back depending on the orientation of your carburetor. It sounds like you need to adjust them out and allow for more air too much fuel.

What’s size main jets, got 145 in the weber 38 we brought, top end revs lumpy and miss fires running to lean

Anyone have tune up specs for a 2001?
How easy is it to adjust the carburetor? On a scale of 1-10 and what sort of prior knowledge of adjusting a carburetor did you have?
I would say it would be a 4-5 I am familiar with adjust a carb but not this one. The instructions would good with carb adjustment.
Do you have any new updates on the boat with the carb swap? How did it do in the water ?

For sure Weber is better then Merc
I think it had better response and consistant. But speed the same. Easy to use

It is the one that comes with the kit. It is marine approved if I remember right.
