Omega 'Speedmaster' Broad Arrow Co-Axial GMT review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 лип 2024
- Firstly, apologies for the audio quality - it's a long story, hopefully not too annoying.
It's one of the jewels in my collection, the Broad Arrow GMT Speedy, a very complicated but elegant watch with an interesting and relevant chronograph movement.
Not included is any technical stuff about the co-axial escapement but I'd encourage you to watch any number of helpful videos on UA-cam explaining the marvel that is Daniels' superlative escapement design. Thomas Mudge's lever escapement was incredible, and Daniels' co-axial should be seen alongside his countryman's achievements in the pantheon of watchmaking greats.
Enjoy!

I just got mine in metal bracelet. It is huge. The largest wrist watch I ever wore but loving it very much. Now this replaced my Tag Heuer Link calibre 16 chronograph.
Nice review 👍
Thanks! 👍
I have the Hyakuichi 101 hyaku1-003-WH, not quite the same but a far more affordable US$125 homage direct from Japan. I love that watch & it's always in rotation even though I suspect the company might be involved (wittingly or not) with replicas.
Hi - I'd never heard of Hyakuichi prior to your post, thanks for the info! Stay safe ⌚️
Nice watch and nice review
Thanks! It's a beauty isn't it?! ⌚️
Rosh FooCo Watches & Things indeed it is! Only Speedmaster I’ve ever had was a Mk II vintage on bracelet (1970) which I foolishly sold and now can only wish for one as tines are hard
I hope those measurement callipers have non-metal guides, the clumsy way you measured and making contact with the case made me wince uncomfortably, look after that beauty and take better car man.
Thanks for your concern! You'll be glad to know that all is well and the Speedy is tough enough to deal with the very finest plastic-headed calipers the world can throw at it! 👍⌚️
@@roshfoocowatchesthings5510 good man, I knew you were on top of it, regards from the Police chief of the anti-scratch watch division.
