Thanks for the review, great thoughts! Btw on the new velocity bags there is replacable velcro strap. There is also a new size 29L which has an one zippered pocket on the outside. It also comes with laptop sleeve inside the main compartment with one zippered pocket. That one seems like they thought a lot what was wrong in the older ones and just straight up improved the model.
There is a cool video online where someone has turned one of these into a panda by buying the attachment points from ortlieb fitted an extra layer of plastic inside and modified it so it can be a backpack and a pair for a bike, it’s pretty cool and the only bag you can do it too for sale that I can see
Beautiful. The review too. I am indecisive between the velocity and the commuter daypack which has a slightly different closing mechanism with a hook instead of Velcro and a less plasticky texture. Sorry I can not provide a link because the comment gets removed. Do you have an opinion on that? Which one would you choose in case you had to get a new one because the previous one got eaten by the foxes (to name some London´s threat)? Thanks a lot Anta
Very useful review! I have been searching a “perfect” commuter bag. This helped me a lot. Do you think back vent of this bag is any better than others?
Hi, glad it helped. I think it's much better than ones without any ventilation gaps. I've used a couple of bags with a mesh fabric back and this feels better. However as I said in the video on hot days or with waterproof layers the separate squares get sweaty. I haven't yet tested the new model, where the same foam is shaped differently.
Thanks for the review. I’m still curious how this black backpack is in summer with a lot of sun on it. When I carry a Macbook. Is it not getting warm inside?
Hi Rudolf. That is an excellent question. It does get warm on the inside, but I haven't noticed any effects on equipment. I usually cycle about 1-1.5h at a time. The warmth only ever becomes apparent, when my drinking water is an unpleasant lukewarm temperature. It might be worth having a look at the other colours. However those that do not immediately scream "cyclist" tend to be darker shades.

I've had this bag for almost 10 years and it's just now getting to the point where I may have to replace it.

The new models have replaceable velcro which is covered in their warranty for replacement within 5 years i believe

@@antaazure1795 I have the black one. And it's beautiful. Hope 23 L is enough space.

@@informedcarpet yea, complimenting people is very odd indeed
Filmed with a toaster
How odd you would title this as a "Unisex Cycling Bag" I didn't realise panniers were gender specific
It is not a pannier.
@@antaazure1795 it's not unisex either
