Glad you chose to paint the night stands navy. You are running a business … provide a product that the customer wants and will sell quickly! Great job! The night stands are beautiful!
I love the way the last night stands look, I’m with you! When you run a business you need to appeal to the most people. You know your market. So good job and continued success!
You are glowing. I know that sometimes what may seem like the reality on the internet isn't always true, so I hope you also feel glowy too. You are so talented and have SO much to offer. Hope you are doing well. 💗
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher yay! SO glad to hear that. There's definitely a 'lightness' about you and was hoping it was indicative of how you were doing and not that you were just 'fakin' it till ya made it' ;) We all want the best for you :)
Choosing a favorite is difficult. I like the wood tops but the simpler lines in #3 makes it my choice. I'm curious about your store. I know a vehicle ran through the front window. It appears to have been repaired. Are you open for business again? If not do you mind sharing about the delay?
thanks for watching! I am not sure I will be opening the store again. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes that I'm not ready to share yet. I'll still have the space for at least a while longer because I really enjoy working here!
What I really liked about the 1st set were the doors and the stained top with the mudslide stain. The 2nd set was like a plan “B” given that the 1st painted color didn’t fair so well for sales. I really liked the hardware which brought up its look. This recent makeover is awesome! The bamboo matt lines are a great addition. I love the rounded feet, also the hardware was the perfect choice to wrap up the navy look. Personally, I love navy colors so to choose my number 1 pick, I’d have to go with this 3rd flip. They all turned out great!
My kitchen is Indigo, a dark navy with white work top. I’ve already painted my bedroom furniture soft white, about fifteen years ago. After seeing this flip I think I might do my furniture this dark navy. Love your work 👍🏴
Lauren, I'm curious if you list your furniture at a higher price now that you are out of a store front vs when you were selling out of your home? Obviously you have higher overhead now, but do you find customers are more willing to pay higher prices picking up from the store than from your home?
i think i have raised my price a little bit mostly due to my skill level increasing, not really bc of the location of pick up. people don't even know its a storefront until they get here when they purchase off of FBMP (:
I’d do a deep forest green (very dark)…. But I love green so… 😂 Does navy sell better than black? And I totally agree: these are the best navy nightstands of the three. I really like the pulls.
I wonder if you could’ve put a dissolver behind those pieces to be able to remove them easier or maybe a heat gun to soften the glue? Beautiful pieces and the bamboo worked out great 😊
Hi Lauren, Maybe a couple vlogs ago you used paint that already had the primer in it, so that you didn't have to do primer before the paint like you did in this amazing flip. What would be the reason for not using the combo primer/paint on this one?
this paint also has it built in but its really just a bonding primer, not a stain blocking primer. i pretty much like to use primer on every piece even if the pant has it built in (:
These turned out beautifully. Hard to decide as I love furniture period! So, that being said, I love them all. I do think they are perfect for a young fellows room as they don't have the extra look that the other two have. These are perfect with the golden/brass looking handles. Perfect for anyone. I love that you started this channel........I wish you posted every day actually.......LOL A bit difficult however. ;-) Keep up the good work! Blessings
Beautiful! I would have gone with the navy. I can’t pick a favorite, but I think it might be the middle picture - drawers with silver hardware. But really, they are all gorgeous. ❤
Beautiful! Agree with sticking with colors that sell. I live in FL and I feel like when I paint in coastal blue colors they sell really fast. White also sells, but the last 3 pieces I’ve sold were coastal blue.
🤯I didn't know a synthetic version of BIN existed! That's a game changer for spraying it without having to do serious clean up in the spray gun!! 🥳 Thanks for the tip!
Do you ever put in drawer stoppers? A lot of the old furniture I get the drawers tip and can come all the way out with nothing to stop them. I have added drawer stoppers to them but wasn’t sure if that’s necessary on furniture that didn’t have them to begin with. Have you noticed if your customers care or not? And they came out gorgeous! I like this set the best.
You're a gem teacher! Painting the back and sometimes even the bottom making a piece much more versatile in many rooms as I am seeing more on interior design shows. My house is very small so pulling a night stand(s) into the room as a dual use end table or coffee table for guests sort of thing. I'm using a single lower kitchen cabin as my center kitchen island, 24x18. When I say small I mean small.😂
Like the bamboo you added! Personally, I prefer the wood top on the nightstands; however, all three sets are beautiful ! It was a very relaxing video to watch. You look very pretty, Lauren! Thanks for keeping your channel entertaining! 🤗❤️
Navy & gold are popular colors right now. Christmas is coming so why not have a Christmas open house with some items marked down to sell. Decorating the shop for Xmas would be beautiful and homey.
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher I follow Kacha a lot. She’s really into painting furniture, almost ALWAYS adding gold in some form or fashion. She and her husband, Carlos live in Oakport(?), Maine, where she has a store. Personally, I’m more of a purist, most often opting to stain a deep rich brown. No orange or yellow for me please, and don’t come at me with pine if at all possible. LOL!!! There’s another interesting UA-cam channel, Flipping Drawers. He has practically performed miracles on pieces most would relegate to the fireplace. You take care! BTW…I miss seeing Neiman/Neeman. He seems to be a really good, nice guy .
These turned out gorgeous! I loved the other 2 sets as well. Of course, blue is my favorite color, so you can't go wrong there with me. I like it when you leave the top wood. However, on this set, I was kinda hoping you would leave the feet wood 🤷♀️ Great job!
Hey Lauren, see in my area these wouldnt sell very quick. My peops here are all about beige, greige, etc. so i have to stick to that color scheme so yes, absolutely do what the market dictates. Thats just part of running a business. But I do like the navy personally
OMG that is awesome that they sold so fast, I like set #3 for me its the gold hardware. The people where I live like the gold hardware the best right now.
the update with the shop is that it is still closed. there has been a lot of changes behind the scenes that I'm not ready to share yet and I probably won't be opening the shop again. i'll be keeping the space for awhile longer tho cause I love working here! #3. Really like the hardware on the navy, and love the navy color, (favorite color, and darker the better, but this shade is very nice)My nightstand is white w a fake wood top that is a dark grey, don’t like the top because grey is everywhere and it’s hard to see things I’ve placed on top of the stand. I may paint it white so I can see better.
I feel it depends on the furniture piece, and if it would look good with the design. There is something out there for everyone, but that being said you can ride the trend until it fades because business is still business. Since you are your own boss though, the sky is the limit. If you like an unusual color do it, part of the attraction of the piece is your artistic vision, it tells a good story and people will be drawn to that.

so true!

I like this set as well. They are very streamlined and minimalist

Love the hardware and navy color. The bamboo accents are brilliant.
Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed adding those accents.
Navy is beautiful, the gold look of the hardware makes a big difference. The #3 is the prettiest
appreciate you!

I like all of them but I agree #3 is my favorite. Great job Lauren. As always they look beautiful.
thanks so much! I am on the same page as you!
Okay I have to be brutally honest. They are ALL my favorite!! 😁
Just another tip- You can add a little water to the empty DB Silk Paint jar to get every single drop. Then the jar can be used for other things.
That’s a great idea! I’m always looking for ways to use up every bit of paint!
Amazing flip! I love that color. Set 3 is by far my favorite.
thank you!
They look great. The warm hardware with the deep blue is a great contrast. God bless you.
agreed! thanks so much!
Set #3 is my favorite ❤️
These turned out great! I love how you "fixed" them with the leftover materials you had on hand! Those side pieces with the bamboo turned out great!

I’d go with a dark red, like crimson, adding dark wax to give the antique look. You could add some light gold gilding wax too, but not too, too much!
that sounds beautiful but unfortunately that wouldn't appeal to a large audience for a quick sale. that would be awesome for a custom piece!

You’re right, the possibilities are endless! right now I am seeking out quick sales so i guess blue was the right color!
