I bought one today in an Asian Market for .89 cents. Glad I watched your video. I will have it for breakfast tomorrow. I love Korean pears. I think I will like this fruit also. I lived in Korea for 13 months. I never had this melon when I lived in Korea.
Although I'm a raw vegan of 7 years and live mostly on fruits and some raw vegetables, somehow I never tried this fruit. Today I bought six of them for $2 because the store was getting rid of them to make space for another fruit. They are ripe and smell sweet and so I thought I'd eat all six of them as one meal today. I wanted to know how to eat it. So I looked up and came across your amazing video. Thanks Matt, your video has made me salivating and secreting insulin.
I just bought one of these at an Asian market a couple days ago. It looks a little like a Delicata squash. I told friends it tasted like honey dew but with a crunch. I'll definitely buy more & will try eating the seeds. I'm going to dry the seeds & plant them. How it works out. Excellent melon!

I bought one this week on a whim and ALWAYS come to your channel when I purchase items I’ve never bought before😝. And here you are with another wonderful video. I haven’t eaten it yet but when I do I’m definitely eating it with the seeds.
First-time visitor - liked and subscribed. My wife just cut open one of these Korean melons, and we both prefer eating it without the seeds. The eating experience is like a not-yet-ripe honeydue in terms of its crunchiness, and its flavor resembles a honeydue melon as well, at least to us. We also chose not to eat it with its peel - we have become used to peeling Korean apples/pears before eating them. Thanks for this video. My wife and I are Korean Americans, but this is the first time eating a Korean melon! 🙂
Awesome and thank you!! That is a good description of the taste. I do like it with the seeds better because that is where more of the sweetness is, but I also am very accustomed to eating fruit with seeds, haha.
My husband came back from a local farm (I live in New England) with a couple of these. I wasn't sure how they were supposed to be eaten. Thanks for this video, Matt. I was almost too scared to try it.✌

Matt I grow them in my backyard. I saved seeds from one my Asian neighbor came me in 2020 and I’m now growing them. I like w/out skin seeds and cold so I refrigerate overnight before eating. I say it’s a cross between a pear and a honey dew melon. Save the seeds and grow them yourself!
