  • It’s that time of year! Tennessee deer season started in August for a 3 day velvet buck season and then again in late September for regular archery season, so we have a couple of months to prep!
    Today, we are putting out some corn in front of some Spypoint Trail Cameras, and then assessing our current deer stands and planning where we want to plant food plots!
    Let me know if there is anything you’d like to see during the upcoming hunting seasons and hunting season prep!
    Be sure to Like, Comment, and Subscribe before you leave! Those 3 things help me a lot!

    Loved this. I'm not a hunter so I had no idea how much prep was involved. Very cool. Can't wait for the next one. Was great to hear more from your hubby in this video, love his passion and hard work.

    Y'all are so blessed to have land to hunt on. My husband had been hunting the past several years on someones land and right before deer season they called out of the blue to tell him they had sold it 😢 Poor guy...I felt so bad for him because in WNC where we live it's hard to find private land to hunt. The retirees move up here and buy up land and just about all of them are anti hunting. I'm also nervous for him to hunt public because there's just so many inexperienced hunters ready to shoot anything that moves

    I know youre not allowed to hunt over bait, so is there like a legal date when you have to stop putting food out? And do plants like the turnips you were talking about count as bait? And are the laws any different since you're hunting on your own private land vs public lands? Thanks!

    I come from. A family of hunters and farmers isn't putting food down considered baiting?

    • @none_ya001
      @none_ya001 Рік тому

      I think that law differs from state to state. (And probably different stipulations as well, time of year bow hunting/ rifle hunting ect) Not entirely sure though.
      If I remember correctly it probably has to do with time of year and bow hunting. If rifle hunting I think that's illegal to bait.

      No I’m sorry you are both wrong. You can’t throw out bait. You can’t have bait piles. But growing food, naturally sprouting from the earth, is legal.

    • @Miguel195211
      @Miguel195211 6 місяців тому +1

      It depends on the state. In Georgia, “All bait and all feeders are legal to hunt over for deer on private lands.”
