It would be cool if "The Rival" was a actual enemy, occasionally appearing and acting like a timer of sorts, where if you dont get the target in time they do instead
I dont really know if its already there but you could add like object roadkill too (like not entity just immobile model of the alreday existing one, just so the player will be scared cuz he aint sure if its the living roadkill or not) but idk maybe its a bad idea Also your game seems really cool
a thought for the tattoo if you're concerned that the ping system makes it too easy then instead you could use right click to cause footprints and handprints in a certain radius to glow to give a subtle nudge in the right direction rather than outright pinging them
I love all of the monsters in this game so far. They're incredibly unique and interesting compared to a lot of horror creatures in recent times. I absolutely adore the tree spider specifically though. There's just something about it that feels so freshly horrifying. It specifically is not something I've ever seen done in a game before. My theory on what the mystery monster that you showed near the start is, is that it's some sort of shapeshifter. Something that'll take the form of a normal human, possibly the days target and only reveal its true form when you get too close and attempt to attack it.
As someone else already pointed out, there definitely need to be "fake" roadkill enemies so you will be surprised when the real one attacks Also loving the shop! I think it could provide a good opportunity to convey some lore. Maybe some changing graffiti on the building, maybe the shop keeper slips you a note under very specific conditions
weird suggestion but if you wanted some extra atmosphere to make it feel more alive you could add volumetric fog with noise to give kind of windy effect, lethal company uses it alot and even though its a very small detail it adds so much
lore idea: the secret society working for Elijah didn't always worship him, instead, they started as a misfit group of farmers who hated what they were doing, but would continue the sacrifices to prevent bad stuff from happening. Over the years, as Elijah kept being fed by his lackeys, the secret society eventually came to worship him as he gave rewards for keeping the sacrifices on time and punishments for the late ones. Just a thought
just a suggestion, if you guys get to implement the hud animations like, animating the players image hands, can you make it so that the player stabs the victim in the back like the spy does in Team Fortress2, it would be a nice reference and soo satersflying to do.
the rip arms guy should say "you hair is so beautiful.... what the price?", the giant spider look strange i think that if you scale down the body to a car size and keep the legs the same its design wold be better,and monster idea: a small creature that steal the clues and use it like a shell and to get then back the player must chase it and knock them down
Honestly, just randomly found this one TikTok and got attached. The only advice I can give to you is for people who can't read. Can you put Text-to-speech? So you can read the items also if you all put it on PS4, I'll play It. I love playing. I'd like to give a little suggestion for the monsters : when ever you feed ELIJAH he should give yo information about a random creature based on how likely you'd encounter them or through environmental clue. it just adds a lot of depth.
maybe there could be people who are hostile so you have to be sneaky or a monster that is disguised as a human and when it gets close it will change into a monster. Idk just some ideas, love how the game is going!

If you want a quick explanation of what this monster is, it is one of the monsters that supposedly stalked the lumberjacks and made them always have a weapon. I think if you want a simple but effective mechanic for this monster, the simplest thing would be that the monster would get behind the player and sometimes make noise when walking behind sometimes running and when the player turns around, this monster would hide behind something. If the player is fast enough, he could see it and escape.
I don't know what you guys have planned for the monsters, but I think it'd be cool if they were minions of Elijah. Like, the reason the cult is so obsessed with feeding the pit is because neglecting to feed it results in all these monsters appearing and start killing indiscriminately. Could be a fun twist of fate if getting caught by the monsters means getting fed to the very same pit you've spent the whole game feeding

Iv been trying to find a way to make a youtube channel but all animation/recording software I find is made for professionals who want to make disney-level quality movies, but I personally like your style so much better. Even if its just a completely unedited recording of you constructing your next video, that would be incredibly informative.

I had an idea for a monster that is sort of small and hard to spot and can take items on the ground and place them in different spots. The player could be able to tell if an item was taken by a sign left by the monster like it leaving fur on the ground. Maybe it's model could resemble a rat or a mouse.

I might sound insane and stupid with this idea but what if the roadkill monster was behind the players car at day implying they hit it and its comming for revange at night when its alive again
Loving the gift shop idea, maybe you could add upgrades or different gloves, you get once you reach a certain number of sacrifices, also did guys think about like interactions between the different monsters and entities you are adding , would be cool to see if you have anything planned for it

Suggestion for the shop keeper design, show just the bottom half of his face as well as the hands. Yeah hands alone are spooky, but just seeing a mouth and chin can make it kinda unsettling if you have him showing giving big ol grins or scowls. That and seeing the lower half of a face somehow feels more uncanny than seeing just the mouth for some reason
Idk how hard it would be, but i saw one item was an axe, could you use that clue item as a sort of weapon. Being able to cut the spider web and baiting the spider to rebuild it as you run away from the areal. Maybe be able to kill lesser enemies too
