I remember our biology class about that. In order to get a large amount of DNA, they gave us bovine testicles. Run them through a blender, add salt and the other ingredients and you'll end up with a nice amount of stringy stuff that takes a surprising amount of force to rip apart.
We did this exact thing in my chemistry class in high school! I definitely kind of wanted to eat the strawberries at the end even though I knew they were mixed with stuff that would taste awful. We also distilled alcohol out of red wine. Not entirely sure if that was legal given that we were in an American public school, but it was such a cool lesson because what started out as a red liquid came out clear at the other end of the tubes. And yes, our chemistry teacher did also teach us that methanol has a lower boiling point than ethanol (and can also cause blindness) so what we were getting wasn't actually pure ethanol. That part was I think half chemistry lesson, half "I know 16 year olds are dumbasses who might try to sneak alcohol so I'm going to give them the information they need to decide for themselves that it's a bad idea"
