- Today I am sitting down to tell you the story of when I had to get rescued while I was on a hiking adventure in a very remote section of Western Maine.

Goddamn, look at that beautiful woodpile.
Thank goodness for the kindness of others. Well made for a fun tale. Another good reminder why it’s always wise to bring an inreach or something similar. You just never know.
I’m very thankful for everyone I encountered. I was lucky. It is a fun story now!
Mark and Kurty are two of the best guys I know. You lucked out having them run into you, hope you enjoyed your visit to the little Kennebago inn!
They are great! I’m very glad I met them, and I’m thankful for all their help. And the camp is great! Such an awesome view!!
Glad everything turned out ok. Hope the 4wd issue was minor($$). Nice to make good new friends!
Me too. It could have been a lot more expensive. I’m just thankful I could get it out and home!
Oh my goodness I’m glad you’re ok and that you ran into people. Those situations can be a bit unnerving.. eek. Glad it wasn’t a super cold day and you had a good head about the situation. Good takeaway points for sure, thank you for sharing those. I got my Suburu stuck on Caribou Valley Road when I tried to do Sugarloaf after the first snowstorm. It took me a long time to turn my car around after realizing it wasn’t going up that hill.. used my floor mat, about a 37 point turn lol. Idk. Luckily I was able to drive out! But I was much closer to civilization than you. Thanks for the video and for your transparency. 😊
Yeah, it’s never fun getting stuck wherever you are. Glad you got out. Thanks for watching!
