- Eurocustoms Tune , techtonic tuning down pipes and cat delete to a stock resonator and straight pipe. Sounds wild for sure but a little too loud for my liking.

Was your gti a 1.8t before swapping the 24v? If so did you swap all of the harness or just the going to the engine bay? Cluster too?
Too loud. Its not a race car. I had a 03 GTI VR6 with stock cat and resonator, a Unitronic Stg1 tune, and an AWETuning cat back. And it sounded amazing! I was going to get a high flow cat and then could go stg 2 unitronic. These engines are some of the best sounding if you set them up correctly, but it takes alot of money to make serious power with them. But the way mine was set up hinestly was one of the best sounding Ive ever heard, and many people agreed. There are a couple short videos on my channel showing how awesome an awetuning catback sounds.
Yup car has a magna flow muffler on it now., sound a ton better
Can u send the links to the down pipes and mid pipe I have a 03 gli 2.8L v6 24v and I got a tune but need the down pipes and can’t find them on the tt site !

I also have a VR6 BDF engine and I can honestly say this sounds like ass. I know my opinion is the minority, but I’m simply being honest. First, it’s REALLY not a GOOD IDEA to simply swap your ECU with one that’s been flashed/chipped/tuned. There’s a reason why the reputable vendors who offer tuning services have you fill out a form that lets them know what upgrades you’ve made to the car (i.e. cold air intake, upgraded fuel injectors, turbo, performance exhaust, etc.).
It’s nice to see that you’re excited about your cars setup. I truly mean that. I just can’t watch a video of my beloved GTI VR6 BDF engine being upgraded in such a way. Not sure if your goal was to add HP, torque, or to simply make as much noise as possible, but there are much more efficient ways to add HP and torque to that engine than the route you’ve gone. Lightweight pulleys, performance/light weight cam phasers are just a couple of examples. I’ve rebored my current engine - making it a 2.9L - and I am just now considering a tune.

Ecu was just for the tune. Eurocustoms is pretty reputable so I’ll stick with that. Car is loud getting the full tt exhaust muffler and res. Motor is on its last leg so I’m just driving the car. Will be doing a 3.2 swap here soon. it’s not horsepower related, Just having fun. Swoops built intake is on the way as well for the 3.2, gonna tear it down and make that worth my time. As for right now I don’t really care about the motor.
As a former 24v owner i have to agree with you. Sounds terrible at idle and simply loud the rest of the time.
Put a magnaflow muffler on it. Much better. Will do an update video!

Bounce your throttle foot while on 2step for bigger pops you want it dump a bunch of fuel and then not have the air to combust completely and ignite in hot pipes after the exhaust stroke🤘

That’s the plan to get the full tt exhaust. Cops haven’t really bothered me at all.

did you make a custom test pipe for the cat delete? & did you make a new bung for the upstream o2 in the downpipe?

i’m about to port my manifolds and get a tt downpipe as well. eurocustoms tuned too.
Sounds crazy in the high revs but ordering a full TT system not res to a muffler. Way too loud for my liking
@@ecgarage4384 i have a 2.5” catless straight pipe to a magnaflow muffler. i plan on just adding the TT downpipe with the ported manifolds & calling it a day. i’m excited but skeptical 🤣
