Great episode as usual ladies! My addition would be to always take your leave/vacation days and sick off days and go relax/recharge! You are not doing yourself any favors by overworking thinking that you will be recognized as the most hardworking employee..if anything, you might end up being unproductive and burned out.
I 💯 agree with this...
I can't believe I skipped this content the whole of last year 🤦and now I need it more than ever😍, I'm growing 😭
Isn't Lydia a gem 💎💖
What I'm taking away
1. Be confident at work...speak up ideas
2. Interaction with workmates is just as important
3. Be comfortable only when there's growth..you can be more
4. People will remember negatives..be very careful
5. Know your value
6. Authenticity...be you and stand out
I pray that this year we have smooth and enjoyable times in our jobs♥️♥️♥️ I proclaim authenticity and confidence 💙
Aki you have no idea how happy I am...watch you two..... nilikua nalia....I had to ✋...so that I can watch this..we will revisit later
The day to day menial tasks, ongeza volume pls... Took me over a year to accept day to day tasks of my current job and if I'm being honest, I'm still getting used to it 3yrs in and one role change later. But, there's joy in the bigger outcomes from projects I exert myself in. Preach sisters, we're here for all of it!!
I like how you girls are affirming to each other,,, I need such energy,, thanks for the episode,, God bless you.
Just to add on this,Know the environment you are going to be working in.
Before you take the job, make sure it is a place where you want to be. This is somewhere that you are going to be spending a lot of your time. It's important to like and appreciate the atmosphere at work.
This has to be one of your best episodes!! ❤️ I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. It was so informative and timely for me, as I’m just about to graduate and get into the corporate world 🙏🏾😊

Learned so much....also I believe knowing your value accounts not only to finance but also in terms of opportunities that avail at work....When an opportunity avails that you feel you could do better go for it ....express why you deserve the opportunity

Love you guys soo much
I have to comment on Murugi's story about her husband negotiating for his new job, it is true that you have to ask for what you are worth, and women should do the same. But I think it is not always easy because men asking for more or being assertive is seen as good. But for women applying the same tactics, you will hear people say "she is bitchy or too demanding" etc. There is even specific advice for women on how to negotiate, I have seen articles on this online. When you add race, it becomes even more complicated for racial minorities. A black person could negotiate or be promoted like Lydia was saying and the reaction from people is negative because some people think you don't deserve it or you should settle for less etc. And in Lydia's case that might have been the issue, a black woman in a majority white working environment.
Thankyou for saying this!! I was thinking it as well. Where as in his situation it worked in his favor that might not be the case for others, especially women.
One time I asked for more money (Intact insurance company in Canada) & instead of saying “that is not within our budget but let us know by x date if you accept”, they pulled my job offer. It almost felt like they were telling me “how dare you ask for more money”.
Context: I’m a 26 year old black woman
Enjoyed watching this as usual good discussion ladies
I’m I the only one who think these two beautiful ladies look alike?

🤣🤣🤣 29:17 has just reminded me of an incident where my hubby's cousin who's like 50 sent a dick pick to the extended family group, remember everyone is there including the grandparents lol so I think he didn't know how to delete it and so the admin had to dismantle the whole group! 😂😂😂

Hello in-betweeners, I am grateful of how much TMI has taught me as a person. However, I am at a point where I feel like I need way more than just one valuable podcast.... Don't get me wrong, I'm still a very loyal in-betweener, I just would want to broaden my knowledge in life and podcasts in general. Could you guys help suggest other podcasts, on UA-cam preferably that are equally as beneficial and fun to watch as TMI ⁉️ thank you♥️ y'all have a wonderful 2023
Gem 💎
Murugi on the game 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
Lydia rubbing her win on her face😂
Joan your confidence
We are all winners in Christ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 says murugi not-the-so-winner
During my third year I went for my attachment and I hated the job but could not change courses ...since then I dreded graduating think that manifested because covid came giving me more time to think ....bt I am graduating December and all everyone is talking about is graduate and get a job as if it's that easy ...I still hate that job bt my parents are not for the idea of supporting me to do something else .
Girl I feel you, and I’m somewhat in the same boat.
Very informative 💯❤️
Hahaha the game was fuuuuun!!!!!Lydia you did it so calmly. Murugi😂😂😂Sorry babe
thank you so much Lydia for addressing that BULLSHIT narrative that 'being loud, rude" = 'strong women'; also being an 'independent Sally' is not an achievement but an expectation for all normal functioning adults 😤😤 Get in line, Sally, like the rest of us 😒
alafu murugi😂☠️ kwani walikufanyia nini ten years ago inakuuma hivyo⚰️⚰️
na hizi maswali mnauliza IG pekee mtuwekee kwa community tab bana #inbetweener

I actually believe the part of women dont really negotiate enough, my husband will be so calm about a certain deal that my lazy ass would have taken on even for 20%less
Loves🥺🥺❤
I meann I started working at 19
First jobs really suck especially when you meet people who will want to exploit you jobwise 😴😴
aka “... any other assigned tasks.”😫😅
Please talk about dating married men
Genuine question: What's there to talk about?
P.R.O.F.O.U.N.D.
What did you think of each other when you first met. What made you click
😍😍😍
💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
Nice but that lighting looks off...
You guys are wrong am a Kenyan seafarer and seafarers don't pay taxes so is that not a job !!!!😂😂
What else would you advise to those in their 20s and 30s who are still in that space of finding out what they like, what they are good at and what they can be paid for?
Would like to hear more about the journey and how to handle yourself, exploit your full potential, and make the most of any opportunity...
