I need to know where people are finding 1,000 apartments in LA because I wish I could do that. Seems like living in LA without a roommate and with an entry-level job is damn near impossible.
@@austinparz3409 well to be honest I paid about 4 month upfront in rent. I found a job around a month in a half in. I was very aggressive thought. Didn't go out or anything like that. Until I felt good about my income.
Ive done some planning, if i become a nurse [when i grow up] then i could become a picu nurse id be making around 2000 per week and i could pay to rent a nice apartment with a roommate and yeahhhhhhhhh i guess this is what happens in the middle of quaritne
Public transit is SUPER extensive in Los Angeles. No seriously, I'm not kidding. I mean it's not great because the Koch brothers and lobbying to keep you in your car but compared to other big cities like Miami (where I am) it is significantly more useful.
I have zero interest this video. Literally nothing! I'm never moving to California in this lifetime. But am I gonna watch it? Yup!! Am I gonna Like it? Hell Yeah! Why? Ummm duh, because it's Jill!! :) :)
Biggest thing about moving to (and leaving) LA or most cities: When people can no longer afford to live in LA, and become an "expat", don't move to a small town or so-called "inner city" area and think that it needs to be fixed through gentrifying actions. People in these areas are not "backwards", you're just domesticated and experiencing culture shock. Long-time residents aren't your lesser, aren't simpletons, and they aren't in need of a culturally debasing touch. They already have cultural identities that don't rely on mainstream pseudo-culture.
Evangel that may be, but as an openly gay man on the spectrum who grew up in a very small close-minded town, I’m naturally drawn to big cities as they offer me more opportunities to connect with like-minded and tolerant human beings, than, say, a town that only has 5,000 people.
@@ReubenWalton That depends on what "tolerant human being" entails. There is also the inverse point that it may not be these "small town people" who are being the intolerant ones. It also depends on what you mean by connecting. Interests (what one is good at) vs vices.

15K-20K per month or that's what you've saved? Curious because I'm planning on moving to LA when I graduate and am trying to figure out how much to save
all the valley areas are quite the most expensive one will most likely be Coachella Valley which is inside Palm Springs, all the others are affordable.
Palmdale, Lancaster, Apple valley, Mohave, And Bakersfield are also affordable places to live in California. You can do a google search for houses for sale in those cities.

Live in the suburbs
Los Feliz and Studio city have a lot of affordable places!
There’s a good website called zillow and u can choose area and price
I went on FB marketplace earlier and there are tons. Neighborhoods might be rough though. Saw a cute apt for 1100 in Van Nuys.
I was accepted into UCLA for composition this fall. Thank you this was helpful to prepare.
I'm so glad it was helpful! Good luck at UCLA!
My brother graduated from UCLA and he’s too stubborn to find a better paying job.
