In this Feel Like Makin' Love guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this massive hit by Bad Company in its entirety.
The tuning situation is a little weird in this one. There are electric and acoustic guitars in standard tuning, E A D G B E, along with an electric guitar that plays in drop D (D A D G B E) tuning during the chorus. I will be demonstrating in the lesson video, how to play the whole song using just standard tuning.
This rock classics starts out with an instantly recognizable acoustic intro before moving into the acoustic driven verse section.
That is followed by the chorus which is much more hard rock in style. I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.
For the solo section at the end, instead of teaching it note-for-note, I will demonstrate the two scale patterns that are being used throughout so that you can improvise your own solo. However, I will cover a couple of essential licks that happen in the solo as well.

I am hoping you might consider making a video of how to play all the parts of, Fates Warning - The road goes on forever. I have always wanted to play that song, but I can't find any videos teaching it, and I can't read music (yet.) Anyway, this is the best guitar-teaching channel on youtube, keep up the good work 🙂
You always do such a good job, but you left out the bridge on this one in the bridge is probably the best part of the whole song guitar wise and an all-time classic!!!

@@philibowey4809 Im 68 took up learning 2 years ago, they are the reason i did! Koss was the king of the understated solo, didnt need a milliob notes. Both he and God are by far the most passionate players to me, always felt Koss could make it sting! Got an Agile Lp that sounds similar to Koss broken neck axe, just i cant! YET!

I've been playing about 8 years ....totally addicted to playing guitar 🎸 like ... am waiting for epiphone or a brand to drop a copy of a kossoff guitar probs never happen tho am gonna flip the front pick up on my les paul and go for the peter green sound
@@philibowey4809 you need to check out Bryan Williams Page pick ups, i have a double neck set, and an MSG set on the way, very reasonable, and sound exceptionally close to Gods TSRTS tone! Good luck, you def were brought up right. I was just lucky to go through the best era of music!😁
Carl more bad company songs please! they are easy to play and sound great.. next throw up a lesson for boys cry tough it actually has some nice tasty picking and fulfilling melodic solo

😮I have to agree with another comment here, that you skipped the part of the song that I most wanted to see covered. I realize that it's just a version of the verse, using stacked voicings and hammer-ons to these voicings, but it would have been really nice to see how you would have worked out an arrangement of it that could have been realistically played by one guitarist, since that's my band situation. Guess I'll keep doing what I worked out for that portion.
Carl could you please tune to 432 hertz instead of 440, the 440 hertz blocks our shockras, people can't tell the difference usually.

Yeah that’s a great one too, In my opinion Megadeth has greater lyrics than other thrash metal bands I mean yeah Dave doesn’t have the greatest vocals and stuff but the riffs and the emotion and stuff he puts in is really incredible
