I work with many South East Asians..They tell me many stories of the struggles they went through in their country!
Like the Khmer Rouge, they never taught us anything about it in school.
Cambodian people are VERY humble but are WARRIORS at heart...
Im Mexican and i respect what your ancestors been through, i learned a lot about your people

🤜🤛
Thanks brother!
TKO GRAFF CREW
Salute to all of you!
Its horrible. What happened in Cambodia is probably one of the worst cases in recorded history. I've heard horrible accounts that i cant even mention.
No better than Hitler. But for some reason you dont learn about it in school.. Im from Chile and people dont know of the dictatorship, mass killings and torture that began on Sept 11, 73 and left our parents traumatized and exiled from their Country.
I learned this early but its only the white mans history that seem to matter
I guess u werent paying attention during history class then 😂
"cause if he cares about you then you gotta care about him too" shit had me in tears. memories just came roaring in. good doc.
Right just beautiful. Bring back the 90's memories.
Damn great documentary,I’m Mexican grew up in south L.A. this movie spoke to me..I wish nothing but The best for him!!! Lost a lot of homies to gun violence… this boy is a winner and he will prevail!!!
Thank you Juan, much love homie.

I watch a lot of documentaries and this by far has been the most touching. He is a true inspiration. I'd like to give his wife much respect she's been there from day one and still by his side! She's the definition of a ride or die wife! You both are a true inspiration to so many, I wish ya'll nothing but the best! Thank you for sharing your life, and know its helping so many! Again thank you for this powerful story much love!!!
Thank you Ramona, really appreciate the thoughtful and kind comment here. His wife is definitely a very strong woman and one of a kind. God bless!
This hits deep. Struggles in the 90s from gangs, racism, and family issues. I have been through also. I felt this. Thanks for sharing. Much props. Much love! Stay up, brother!
I wish those gangs could just get along.
They are racist as fuck themselves!
49:20 As a father of a daughter and a man who was basically raised by a mother… This quote vanna used was SPOT ON!
“A man who treats his Women like a princess is proof that he was born and raised in the arms of a Queen” 💯💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥹
The part where he talked about his mother got into me!
Growing up with no father and just my mom, it was hard and I definitely know how it feels! My older brother was part of the MOD and he never let me join the gang or be like him! Lazy reminds me a lot of my older brother! My brother got killed in a drive by! Respect to Lazy for being a great role model!
Thank you King, I'm glad you connected with his story. Much love.
Growing up wino father and my mum performed suicide when i was 17. Life is beautiful and horrible.
💖🙏
I’m sorry for your loss.
I met some TRGs, YOG, OBS, from Cali back in the day in the 90s. This brings back memories. Thank you for this memory

Thanks for creating and sharing this awesome documentary. Yessir salute!
The part about his mom, and the parts where his homies show love to him, are really great parts of this great documentary. Good stuff man.
Thank you! yeah, those scenes are my favorite too.
I'm glad Vanna made it through! That story about his mom passing & him and his brother becoming monks was really sad & I felt that🙏🏽.
Thanks for watching his story.
Powerful movie! Im Laotian, our culture share very similar traditions as Cambodian culture. The part where he talks about having to become a monk, I’ve been there done that. But cremation and pressing that button. Man I shred tears hearing that bc I could never. I remember my first experience standing there thinking to myself what if I had to press that button instead of another family member. That hit hard man. Vanna, I wish the best of life to you man. Thank you for your story.
Triumphant. This is what courage and triumph is. Thanks for putting this together i believe this is needed more than ever at this time and im glad to see humanity for the win its not many that you see with the same spirit through so much adversity. This doc. hits close to home being a part of the same generation same wave of immigrant families being basically next door while all of this has been playing out and it gives me hope that at least for the southeast asian group we get to hear a voice speaking for positive outcomes. Thanks again to everyone that made this documentary possible.
Thank you for this!!
Crazy how this story matches my entire life only difference was in another city hundreds of miles away. Felt like this was a documentary of my life. Great job well told. -Respect
I'm glad you saw that connection and could relate so closely. Thank you for watching!

This real solid!! Good story of a man that used the hard times to push him forward. I did the same!! Sitting here now thinking damn, this sound like my story. I'm literally about to board first class for a company business trip. Life is crazy. Keep pushing never give up. You'll be amazed at your outcome🤙🏾
These guys wasn't hard they were all sucks who couldn't fight!! They carried guns calling each other ni**gs! We used to beat they ass!! They never tested the blacks tho they knew better especially in WEST SEATTLE!!
Wow. This doc moved me. I remember hearing similar stories to this in Sacramento in the early 90s. Great job with the film. I’m praying for you, Vanna, and your family.
Thank for this comment Aaron, thank you for supporting.

This documentary was hella deep and I liked how Vanna valued friendship big time! Learning these words of wisdom helped me be a better person each day! It also got to me how he lost his mom bc I lost mine early and especially with my dad! I tell myself that there will be better days while they watch over me! 🙏🏽

This documentary is "THE" "BEST" & "SINCERE" documentary that I have ever seen in my 52 years of my life. Vanna is a warrior who fighting through the battle of growing pains. He was born to be a leader even when life throws curve balls at him. Vanna's love for others is so genuine, he is rich with love and that is why his Rascal Family look up to him even if he knows it or not and I truly believe he will not misguide the youth or anyone because he knows how that feel. Blessings are coming his way when he lest expects it.
Thank you for the kind words Miguel! Peace and blessings to you
Legendary! This is a unique story that you can relate to if you seen and been around this type of lifestyle. Awsome documentary! Was about to sleep but couldn't put it down. It makes me appreciate what I have that other people weren't blessed with. I know Lazy will pull through, there are actually many good people out there. You just need to find them. The enemy Lazy is facing now is the American Healthcare!
Thank you! And yes you're right on the Healthcare part, that's facts!
No man they lazy? Know poor people nothing no power

Interesting documentary. Many of my buddies joined the gangs growing up in the early 90s. And many joined for similar reasons as Vanna ...to band together in a new environment.

This documentary made me gain some inspiration and definitely knowing that I'm not alone and struggling in the past. I've made big mistakes as well as a young buck, I truly loved and had passion for football when I was in highschool but going through so much obstacles and bad terms I wasn't able to be in the right track or had any support. Being an Asian American is tough and not being recognized. I am Hmong and I got love for all my Asians shout out to the Lao, Cambodian, Vietnamese and ect brothers and the one's who still making it out the hood one love.
Thank you for sharing brother, much love!
Indochina Asian’s have been through a lot especially Laos,Burma,Vietnam,Cambodia majority grew up with a lot political oppression and wars … violence and hardships is nothing new to us we’re really resilient cultures with a lot of pride and honour …
Respect to all South East Asians around the world from Australia.
Was up my bro keeping real 100% with ya …
What’s up bro! I live in Fresno, we have a lot of Hmong here. I have many Hmong friends. Good people. They’re the ones who got me into southeast Asian food, now my whole family loves that food.
This was much needed
Man! This video got me! Love your story brother!
Byron Q. Good depiction of urban youth from poverty. Hip Hop has always provided a haven from abuse. It’s just sad crime continues to be the underlying symptom of it. God bless the youth.

man idk im mexican and where im from we hispanics, asians, and blacks grew up together
I'm white and grew up with them all too , also Muslims...I got a Filipina baby mom and a Viet wife 4 kids half.. TRG was around we had beef with them for ways jumping people all deep , including stabbing my cousins... I realize now this is really making the devil's work easy and struggle doesn't have a color.. I couldn't join any gang , gangster disciples and folks became my family cuz they excepted me plus we grew up together. CWB. ... ✌️☘️♠️
From California?
The lucky one.
Idk bro but depends on where you grew up its tension like he said. And he’s kinda right in Pomona there was sick racial tension. The SS out there were smoking anyone that wasn’t Raza. If you know you know what years I’m talking about. And news flash it was in the 2000’s
Same here.. We had our beefs at times. Alot, of that was gang shit. But, in the end we're all family. Especially, during hard times.
What an eye opening, inspiring yet tragic documentary.
you described it perfectly
Man everyone so stuck on the race factor… it’s a damn shame .. this is such an honorable man and it’s sad people have more interest in helping celebrities these days then helping the people who do nothing but help others throughout there lives. This story genuinely has inspired and motivated me even if i never had the hard life as some of these guys. It’s about breaking through oppression and your own trials and moving forward to become a positive impact on people’s lives through our passions .. god please watch over this man and his family may your blessings fill every area of their lives. Amen. Really a great film that i would recommend every person in America watches.. really just could go on about how this has touched me… thank you to Vanna and to the team or individual that filmed this .. really great work.
Thank you Elijah, this means a lot to us! Much respect brother, God bless you and your family.
I watched video of Selena Gomes going live on some crap, and people instantly starged with the $$ donation...to Selena who's net worth is around 800 million dollars and what's even worse, something you can bet your life on,most of those people who donated her all that money, never helped poor person in their life.

hell yeaah!
Me 2 my bro!!
Raised in Seattle, went to Mercer middle school on beacon hill. I knew everyone in the town when it came to hip hop, the gang life, parties, even know DV one. 78 baby, what a trip.
@@mr.kweeks5086 78 Baby!! Scorpio…we grew up in special times. The back end of the crack era, which was the intro to the meth era. I remember seeing Oliver North on the news everyday because of the Iran Contra scandal. Which I really paid no mind to back then but as we know about it now, was the Reagan Era cocaine smuggling military operation that would get Rick Ross’ life sentence over turned. One of my older brothers joined The Marines right after high school and went off to fight in The Gulf War in 1991. I was 12 years old and he was 18 on the front line fighting a war. The beauty of it all…what makes everything so memorable even to this day is all the great music from that era. It was the dawn of all Hip Hop/Rap. Everything was new and original and was good! It was also the dawn of the grunge/alternative music scene and that sound was cool af too. What I wouldn’t give to go back to spend a day in the 90’s….
AMAZING REPORT THANK YOU 👌🙏
That was so good! Thank you!
