AWCY: What if there were no rules on what is cool? Church: What if there were no rules on what is part of our god? Hansarp: *What if there were no rules*
It’s dadaistic nihilism. Romanticism was characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism as well as glorification of all the past and nature, preferring the medieval rather than the classical. It was partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution,[1] the aristocratic social and political norms of the Age of Enlightenment, and the scientific rationalization of nature-all components of modernity.”. If anything it’s close to post-modernism, I suppose you’re right about the inaccuracy of my statement, but as a reaction to modernism not as a precursor of it

Yeah honestly I like these types of scp's that use the anomalous factor in a creative way, a lot more than the big bad entity who will teleport behind you and say "nothing personal kid" while you are being dead in 6 dimensions at once
I've only listened to the SCP videos so far but they've all been really well put together and the narrator's voice and style are really easy to listen to. Whenever they drop, I know exactly what I'm doing next ;D Please keep them coming!
An interesting note: During the survey, when asked "What do you trust most?" it forces you to give a jumbled answer. Food for thought. Edit: Woedenaz, the programmer of the survey, has informed me that it is supposed to say "The Foundation" and not gibberish. I must've used it wrong. Still food for thought.
Honestly my answer would have to be "Myself." Because the Foundation has a lot of people in it, and a lot of them aren't people I would choose to trust in a variety of ways. I may not be perfect, but I know what I can and can't and will and won't do.
6 mins is a record for me. Just shows how much I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the amazing work, because of you. SPECIFICALLY you. I am in love with the S.C.P. universe that I've only been aware of for about 2 years. At the MOST. Thank you, so much for the highest of quality videos in regards to this rich lore.
AWCY is probably one of the coolest organizations in the SCP universe. Also random question how does the foundation make money? No government backs them and they are huge, where does the funding come from?
Governments do back them. The GOC is an arm of the UN, so that’s where they get most of their money. The Foundation is mainly located in America and so most of their govt money is from them, but they probably get other grants from other countries they’re located in. They also probably have deals with prisons (private or public) to get paid for “taking care” of the death row inmates and political prisoners supplied for D-class. They also, mainly, have front corporations. It’s hinted that many real-world companies are fronts for the Foundation. I think Monsanto was hinted once. They also imbed themselves in the boards in various other companies to monitor them and direct money where they need it. And, some SCPs are used to cut costs or make money. The Infinite potatoes, for example, supply site 19’s cafeteria with infinite potatoes to use. The Coffee Machine also supplies drinks in site 19. In short, mainly front companies, government grants, and occasionally SCPs.
Oh, and I haven’t found a suggestion yet, but I’m like 99% sure they print money or use memetics to bribe/steal from companies or groups outside of the foundation. Like, any time MCD set up a deal for dangerous SCPs, I guarantee the foundation tries their best to weasel out of paying for it.
Their bank account is conceptually interwoven with the section of the Noosphere which incarnates the thought "more money than god", resulting in a $X-Class Perpetually Funded Scenario.
“each fish bore text containing a single racial epithet, although it was only offensive to those not of the intended ethnic background.” Doesn’t sound anomalous to me, just sounds like real life.
Hearing all of these anomalous articles and the strange things about them, makes me think of life as an anomaly. Like how our ears can pick up the sound, send that sound as electrical signals to our brain which can then "read" these signals and turn them into sound which our conscious can "hear" and understand as sound. I just find it so weird. And when I listen to music and think about it this way. I still hear the music the same way but there is something different with it.
Also stuff like how the colours we see are just in our heads and it's just how WE perceived the world. To other creatures, a colour that we perceived would look differently to them and yet it would still be as correct. Thus so, what does the world REALLY looks like?
Yeah! Like Green for me might not be the same as green for you. But we have no way of proving that we see colours the same or if we see them differently. Since if I show you anything that's green, that will still look like your green. And If I show you something that's purple, that will still look like the your purple.
For me the world looks very bland and not super colourful but fairly colourful. What if the normal colours you see on objects in everyday life would be like a Chaotic mix of random colours for me.
"In this timeline, the broken god will finally be unbroken, and maybe he'll be cool too." Imagine some reality-warping, super-consciousness finally bleeding through into our universe wearing neon green shades, a doge t-shirt and yelling *"YEET"*
What the foundation needs is someone with the undeniable ability to see through bullshit. Someone with a clear view of the reality and will slap the infected back to reality. I’m imagining Red from “That 70’s Show” going up to a bunch of infected, slapping them upside the head and telling them to cut out the bullshit and call their mothers. Someone with no patience for post-modern dreck and is highly practical.
you forgot the "foot up your ass" comments. mom was into that 70s show when I was a teenager. and I mostly just remember Red threatening to put his foot up someone's ass every time they did something dumb or pissed him off.
I keep falling asleep to this video and then playing it again because I’m interested in the story but then I fall asleep again and have to restart because I forgot everything.
Ah, the first SCP explore that I ever watched, showing up again right after I finally get a piece of writing on the wiki to stick. Little wonder that I was hooked instantly, as this sort of "reality deconstruction" is absolutely the kind of thing I eat up. This isn't my favorite SCP by a long shot, as it is extremely abstract and pretentious, which doesn't make for a great entertainment experience in itself...but it does absolutely provoke thought, and thus was the crucial gateway to get me involved in this dizzyingly expansive fiction universe.
Somethings are broken for a reason and sometimes broken things should remain broken, they do say you can fix a mirror that’s broken but not matter how hard you try you’ll still see that cracks in the reflection it won’t be the same.
The idea of a "thought virus" is insanely terrifying. It is a pity SCP writers aren't given more credit for their creativity. This kind of SCP article is 10 times more thought provoking and intelligent than anything Hollywood has produced in the last 30 years.
Fascinating that someone turned current world circumstances of people’s unwillingness to discuss anything other than politics/religion/ethics etc into an SCP.
Ride of the Red Menace everyone was turning into nonsensical people adhering to strict ideological aspects of thoughts. Whether this is was made for current events or not, I do not know, but it is an interesting parallel nonetheless.
Well, technically it’s only the people with pre-existing rigid ideologies that encounter the SCP and become more rigid. The people without pre-existing rigid ideologies become cosmic hippies who are non-committal to logic itself. The SCP is postmodernism my man
This was really interesting in how meta it was. These comments are great too. Nice. Oh, I just saw the author in the description. djkaktus is always the one who partially or completely writes amazingly well.
Honestly i was looking forward to something about anomalous “black” lighting that casts shadows but creates some kinda shimmer or something when sounds are made or something letting you see in total darkness. "In our attempts to save ourselves we have built a bomb filled to the brim with the most potent of payloads. We have armed it with a fuse that logically cannot be lit, and are hoping to keep it safe from an intelligence that does not care whether the facts say it can or cannot." This has to be one of the coolest lines I've read in any SCP entry.
I personally think that both the church and the sarkites are kind of bad guys on their own, but I don’t we should use this scp as an example since they were probably controlled by Hansarp.

Logic. With it gone from the world, ones goals no matter how out of reach or impossible is entirely possible. No matter what consequences it may wrought upon the world
Which basically implies that they are ultimately uncool. Anyone with any potential for coolness would never have to go to such lengths. Then there's me, who's pretty much incapable of being cool but decided long ago to not care to avoid exactly that kind of stress. Imagine that it actually works and by merit of undoing the concept of being broken, the broken god returns, he would be so disappointed learning that reason and logic itself was removed from reality to get him back that he'd probably just leave voluntarily this time. Though if the broken god is powerful enough, he might be able to fix reason and logic, but in the process causing himself to be broken once again as that concept falls back in line to what it was before, making that his second time being sundered willingly to save humanity, this time because of his own followers and i think that after this whole thing we did NOT deserve it at all. Man all this trouble 'cause some mechanites got daddy issues and some artists feel ignored, talk about escalation eh?

Have to say the more Scps I'm exposed to the more I like the lighter heart ones. Some of them are really creative and creepy and downright shocking but the odd adventure or dark comedy is pleasant
Yeah honestly I like these types of scp's that use the anomalous factor in a creative way, a lot more than the big bad entity who will teleport behind you and say "nothing personal kid" while you are being dead in 6 dimensions at once
I love how AWCY is dealing with anomalous dadaism now
"Bramund" sounds like what a non german speaker thinks german sounds like.
I've only listened to the SCP videos so far but they've all been really well put together and the narrator's voice and style are really easy to listen to. Whenever they drop, I know exactly what I'm doing next ;D Please keep them coming!
AWCY: There's a broken god ? We can make that cool too.
An interesting note:
During the survey, when asked "What do you trust most?" it forces you to give a jumbled answer. Food for thought.
Edit: Woedenaz, the programmer of the survey, has informed me that it is supposed to say "The Foundation" and not gibberish. I must've used it wrong. Still food for thought.
I trust Nobody the most.
He's Resourceful,Diligent and is looking forward to killing 05-01.
Gremlin fifty I legit tried to put my father and when I noticed it just kept spelling “The” I knew something was off.
Guy who coded that survey here: It should make you write out "The Foundation" no matter what you type. But gibberish is fine too :p
@@Wired_User thanks, that helps a lot.
Their bank account is conceptually interwoven with the section of the Noosphere which incarnates the thought "more money than god", resulting in a $X-Class Perpetually Funded Scenario.
“each fish bore text containing a single racial epithet, although it was only offensive to those not of the intended ethnic background.”
Doesn’t sound anomalous to me, just sounds like real life.
Just another day at the office, eh?
Sounds pretty funny
Yep. My reaction to that line was "so... Twesday, right?".
No kidding!
My man, each video you release is an absolut gem. Love all of your work, especially this series!
My humor has devolved so much that I chuckled a little bit at 26:06
Hearing all of these anomalous articles and the strange things about them, makes me think of life as an anomaly.
Has this ever occured to any of you?
sounds like derealization
"In this timeline, the broken god will finally be unbroken, and maybe he'll be cool too."
Imagine some reality-warping, super-consciousness finally bleeding through into our universe wearing neon green shades, a doge t-shirt and yelling *"YEET"*
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hansarp is just the cooler version of AWCY.
More or less the version of AWCY that doesn't want to be detected
Ah, the first SCP explore that I ever watched, showing up again right after I finally get a piece of writing on the wiki to stick. Little wonder that I was hooked instantly, as this sort of "reality deconstruction" is absolutely the kind of thing I eat up. This isn't my favorite SCP by a long shot, as it is extremely abstract and pretentious, which doesn't make for a great entertainment experience in itself...but it does absolutely provoke thought, and thus was the crucial gateway to get me involved in this dizzyingly expansive fiction universe.
if mechane did show back up he would probably be unfathomably pissed off at what he found in this timeline
I always like the line "God was broken, so that we could be whole." Fucking metal.
I don’t think the broken god gave all humanity equal amounts of knowledge... hot take 2020
How dare you speak ill of MEKHAN
Sounds like something a sarkic would say
I'm sure this is the church's reaction to this mixed group this video talks about.
Bear in mind, humanity is also under Sarkkik influence. SOme peoples, *coughWestCoastcough* dont care for rules, following only feelings and flesh.
@@rugtub3744 don't you have a pulse-fearing feedback loop to fall into?
This was my favorite scp to read in a while, glad you decided to cover it!
Real life has a ton of people who don't use logic either.
And they cause roughly the same amount of damage.
Somethings are broken for a reason and sometimes broken things should remain broken, they do say you can fix a mirror that’s broken but not matter how hard you try you’ll still see that cracks in the reflection it won’t be the same.

No, it was a warping of your reality.
Why did you think about scp while eating chicken wings?
@Nad Senoj I dunno man chicken wings are more of a world domination kinda food for me.
Please explain
Ride of the Red Menace everyone was turning into nonsensical people adhering to strict ideological aspects of thoughts.
Whether this is was made for current events or not, I do not know, but it is an interesting parallel nonetheless.
Well, technically it’s only the people with pre-existing rigid ideologies that encounter the SCP and become more rigid. The people without pre-existing rigid ideologies become cosmic hippies who are non-committal to logic itself.
The SCP is postmodernism my man
I loved the super zealous bit foreshadowing the foundation being affected pretty early on.

Honestly i was looking forward to something about anomalous “black” lighting that casts shadows but creates some kinda shimmer or something when sounds are made or something letting you see in total darkness. The other guy stumbling about in the brightly lit hallway caught in your beam, he sees not so well.
The title wasn't completely in my title I saw in my sub bx so I just saw 'SCP-4485-Suc' and instantly thought "Ah yes, the SCP of Succ"
"In our attempts to save ourselves we have built a bomb filled to the brim with the most potent of payloads. We have armed it with a fuse that logically cannot be lit, and are hoping to keep it safe from an intelligence that does not care whether the facts say it can or cannot."
This has to be one of the coolest lines I've read in any SCP entry.
Top ten bizarre anime crossovers.
Not sure if I like the SCP itself but I do like seeing exploration of seemingly unrelated Groups of Interests interacting with each other.
>tfw the sarkics may actually be the good guys
Oh shit.
That's not a good sign
I personally think that both the church and the sarkites are kind of bad guys on their own, but I don’t we should use this scp as an example since they were probably controlled by Hansarp.
Oh, goody. Just love these SCP expositions, and the artwork is pretty nice too. You know, that nice warm feeling you get in your guttiwuts when you realise you have some guaranteed entertainment ahead of you.
This is thirty minutes and only has two ads, impressive
Logic. With it gone from the world, ones goals no matter how out of reach or impossible is entirely possible. No matter what consequences it may wrought upon the world
Bro imagine being so desperate to be cool that you decide to break down all the laws of the universe to make yourself cool
Which basically implies that they are ultimately uncool. Anyone with any potential for coolness would never have to go to such lengths. Then there's me, who's pretty much incapable of being cool but decided long ago to not care to avoid exactly that kind of stress. If I can't be cool, then I can focus on the things I can do- eat candy and pizza, waste time playing computer games, and cuddle any cats or dogs I'm blessed enough to have in my life.
