*"We cannot fail. The factory is eternal. The blood of the worker is our oil; his heart, our engine. At our center we have lashed a throne of hate from the sinew of a thousand screaming migrants, their hopes and dreams mutilated on the country's serrated shore."* -- The Factory
I honestly trust the Serpent's Hand for the ultimate origin. From their base in The Serpent's Library, they have a bird's eye view to the scp multiverse. This means they are able to see everything from the outside, thus see them objectively. Marshall, Carter, and Dark also seem to have insight into daily operation of the infection as it manifests, and would likely have figured out how the anomalous properties originate. The SCP 001 proposal could give an indication about how the infection establishes itself, namely in the minds and souls of the rich fucks that run the world. They experience the infection as a dark, occult deity...and the infection likely possesses some kind of consciousness. Indeed...The Investor is truly terrifying. And the SCP 001 proposal...a tip of the iceberg.
This is my favorite SCP. My head canon tells me that this is Foundation, since it has rooms that contain SCPs. I like to think the Factory was built in the Spiral Path which also produces SCPs. The big bad in my head canon is the Scarlet King and the rituals used was to combat him.
I think I misunderstood scp-001, 001 comprises of a bunch of proposals by various doctors and I thought that since they are just proposals, most of them are fake and only one of them is real scp-001(or maybe not). But it looks like that almost all of the proposals are true and do exist in their universe. I am literally confused as to which proposals are real and do exist and which ones do not
That's the Watsonian explanation, but it's more understandable when you use the Doylist one: various authors giving their take(s) on what this massively important file may be. Nothing is any more or less "real" than any of the other ones.
Like everything else in SCP: It depends It's either all a smokescreen, one of them is real, all of them are real, or ONE 001 is real for a story's reality. Like in the SCP-1730: Site-13, there's a Gate Guardian, therefore the Gate Guardian canonically exists in that universe.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL i recognize the image of the institute manufacturing synths!!!!! also you could use the pencils as throwing knives after you've done 40 rotations, and if you can figure out how to make a dart gun shoot pencils, you've got something.
Your voice is just one of those voices where it doesn’t matter if I’ve heard a story before, I haven’t heard you read it. Great work as always. So glad I stumbled into here.
I LOVE THE FACTORY it's my fave 001 idea yay. From what i can tell The Factory is Anderson now he has merged with HIS Factory and became its heart and mind and Soul he want's his creation's every where to spread his corruption to the point where it will trigger an XK End of the World scenario forcing The Foundation to use Anderson's help to stop it forcing The Council to make a new deal. Anderson will help save the world in exchange for HALF THE PLANET for his experiments-creations and entertainment and The Council would have to make the deal half The World is better then none but that's just my Theory on it. Respect Explore keep up the epic work.
The Serpent’s hand have quite a few interesting view on other anomalous phenomena. They think SCP 682 is the “lost flower child”, who responds with equal or greater actions taken against them. They think SCP 426 “I am a Toaster” is an eldritch god that will inevitably consume and become one with everything, and it’s mere luck that the form it chose this time is relatively benign, but it will still eventually consume our reality like so many others. So yeah, take what they say with a grain a salt. But they’re probably right.
I wouldn't say this is a hot take. This is probably the intended interpretation of a lot of the articles involving The Factory. I'd take it a step further and say that it's the anomalous version of the industrial age and what every world would become with the advent of industry.
I think the rust infection is a side effect. Like, the side effect of improvement. (Edit) I presume that [EXPUNGED] event in the Daycare was one of the kids sharpening the pencil too much and either getting someone stabbed or the daycare getting some fire problems. Kids tend to.... Overdo sharpening And the Rust also might be an affliction caused by being connected to The Factory. If Wondertainmemt (family or person) originates from there then he might had the Rust implanted in him as a method to keep him, and other workers, in the factory. The Rust might have been dormant up until he escaped.
Into a new world the Barons creep, And as her workers slowly weep, Fuel is drained from limbs and blood, Her vision of this world is stained by mud, Walls built in err of their time, And bricks wrought of sin and grime.
"Exploring Series, tell me everything on the factory!" "The Factory is a Group of Interest. That is all." "Well, pull from other groups." "Alright. Uhhh... Founded in 1976 by.... Demons!...."
I recall a series of tales. They involve the Factory, the Fae, Dr. (Isabel) Wondertainment , Manny from Herman Fuller's Circus and Iris Dark. In those stories he Factory is multidimensional and is run by a brother Dark (as in Marshal Cater & Dark). In the end the "core" of the Factory gets wrecked and the brother killed (with the help of Dr. Wondertainment). It was a strange mix of canons. sm
Oil, smoke, mud and rust. Human blood if we must. Production must be continuous and just, as the factory makes one work until they’re nothing but dust.
I like how at 22:23 he just admits its not part of the factory. To paraphrase the Angry Videogame Nerd: Technically, it's not a Factory SCP because it doesn't actually have any connection to the Factory besides being a factory, but when the hell am I ever gonna talk about this thing?
Ummm those pencil sharpeners have a ton of use... Sharpen pencils to an extreme degree and then build a "gun" that "fires" the pencils, with how sharp they are you really don't need much pressure to propel the pencil through anything you want.
Please consider doing really long edit reads. Like a 4 to 6 or even a 8 hour feed or video. Your oroboros cycle video of all parts was great. I watch the vids while working.
One reason I almost never leave comments here is because you do such a good job with the subject that I really can't think of anything to add. This is such a great channel, not just for SCP, but also for all of the other content you create as well. Thanks & keep up the good work TES!
Having read the factory's 001 proposal as my first one almost a decade ago, it still is one of my favorite things about the wiki, and one I'm fascinated by. SCP-4000 also happens to be one of my fav SCP's because it ties back to this origin, long ago, of most of the anomalies that made the foundation what it is now.
The high Hume level of the rifles were probably to be used against reality warping entities such as Dr. Wondertainment, to then take their body parts to make objects. Especially since a lot of Factory products require human parts.
I’ve been going through a lot of your old videos the past few days and just two days ago searched for a factory video figuring surely you’d done one. Glad i didn’t have to wait long!
This one is one of the better 001 proposals. Although it's not my favorite. It offers too much explanatory power and gives a concise answer to the origin of the foundation. That should be left more ambiguous I think.
I have an scp idea of a rural house that has an anomalous room/rooms that during a random time of day items/things change or disapears into a curently unknown place with only one case of a person going missing with in the anomalous house
I love how the Foundation sometimes doesn't poke the bear any more than necessary, and in some cases they ignore neon signs.
I think if there ever was to be a timeline the ones where they fuck around would be before or in another universe to the ones where they act rationally
It's because different writers are like different researchers. They each have a limit to their willingness to test.

It’s basically Capitalism at it’s utter worst.

You know I was just thinking that he hasn't posted a video in a while, and here we are
The SCP 2933 exploration log is one of the best stories from the fandom I’ve ever seen.
Ahh finally, this is one of Roach's favorite stories concerning the SCP Universe. Thank you for the amazing narration as always!
The foundation needs a motto like
"No problem is too big if you throw enough D class at it."
This is my favorite SCP. My head canon tells me that this is Foundation, since it has rooms that contain SCPs. I like to think the Factory was built in the Spiral Path which also produces SCPs. The big bad in my head canon is the Scarlet King and the rituals used was to combat him.
That is one messy headcanon lol
@@olivercharles2930 What would yours be
@@nosfonader8792 I don't really have a headcanon to be honest. I just hop from canon to canon whenever the SCP calls for it.
When The Exploring Series covers an SCP you already know about:
UNLIMITED KNOWLEDGE!!!
Congrats bro cuz most people totally dont know about the factory
Let's be honest, a D-class personell dying of natural causes is the biggest anomalie in the SCP universe

This is the first scp I ever read, glad you covered it
I think I misunderstood scp-001, 001 comprises of a bunch of proposals by various doctors and I thought that since they are just proposals, most of them are fake and only one of them is real scp-001(or maybe not). But it looks like that almost all of the proposals are true and do exist in their universe. I am literally confused as to which proposals are real and do exist and which ones do not
all are contingent in some universes
That's the Watsonian explanation, but it's more understandable when you use the Doylist one: various authors giving their take(s) on what this massively important file may be. Nothing is any more or less "real" than any of the other ones.
Like everything else in SCP: It depends
It's either all a smokescreen, one of them is real, all of them are real, or ONE 001 is real for a story's reality.
Like in the SCP-1730: Site-13, there's a Gate Guardian, therefore the Gate Guardian canonically exists in that universe.
I think 001 proposals are a classification on its own that encompasses the anomalies captured by the 05 themselves before they were the 05
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL i recognize the image of the institute manufacturing synths!!!!!
also you could use the pencils as throwing knives after you've done 40 rotations, and if you can figure out how to make a dart gun shoot pencils, you've got something.
Your voice is just one of those voices where it doesn’t matter if I’ve heard a story before, I haven’t heard you read it. Great work as always. So glad I stumbled into here.

He has a point
I've been looking forward to this for so long. Thank you exploring series.
Pretty incredible concept and a great 001 proposal indeed. It’s understandable why it’s one of the most popular
That's why I love the Serpent's Hand, they're great.
Dramatic but honest. Nice.
Just wanted to tell you a big Thank You for your videos, they always are a joy to watch!
Hot Take: The Factory is the embodiment of Capitalism taken to it's extreme (See paperclip problem).
I wouldn't say this is a hot take. This is probably the intended interpretation of a lot of the articles involving The Factory. I'd take it a step further and say that it's the anomalous version of the industrial age and what every world would become with the advent of industry.
@@GaussianEntity You took the words right out of my mouth.
It’s basically the Industrial Age but as an SCP.

I think the rust infection is a side effect. Like, the side effect of improvement.
(Edit)
I presume that [EXPUNGED] event in the Daycare was one of the kids sharpening the pencil too much and either getting someone stabbed or the daycare getting some fire problems. Kids tend to.... Overdo sharpening
And the Rust also might be an affliction caused by being connected to The Factory. If Wondertainmemt (family or person) originates from there then he might had the Rust implanted in him as a method to keep him, and other workers, in the factory. The Rust might have been dormant up until he escaped.
Everyone else likes listening to these before bed....
I like to listen to these traveling to work
Its a great way off keeping your brain active and thinking well on your commute to work
I like to listen to then first thing when I wake up since they come out in the middle of the night for me.
Into a new world the Barons creep,
And as her workers slowly weep,
Fuel is drained from limbs and blood,
Her vision of this world is stained by mud,

And bricks wrought of sin and grime.

How to quit smoking : smoke 2000 cartons of anomalous cigarettes then transform into a shark then explode 🤔 . This is my life goal now
I recall a series of tales. It was a strange mix of canons. sm
Was just thinking about wanting to watch another SCP video by you, I love these things I crave them!
Oil, smoke, mud and rust. Human blood if we must. Production must be continuous and just, as the factory makes one work until they’re nothing but dust.
If I sharpen a pencil for to long the tip will fall off and I feel like bursting into flames.

IMHO the oroboros cycle is his magnum opus, long reads are the best, I know there is a lot of work involved, but man, it is gold
Oh and SCP 4321 the montauk house is also one of my favorites

One for the algorithm keep doing what you're doing.
The Factory:
being a pain to the Foundation since 18[][]
The high Hume level of the rifles were probably to be used against reality warping entities such as Dr. Wondertainment, to then take their body parts to make objects. Especially since a lot of Factory products require human parts.
Exploring: "You know the Foundation has to keep going until something explodes."
The Foundation: "Yes."
Maybe?
I’ve been going through a lot of your old videos the past few days and just two days ago searched for a factory video figuring surely you’d done one. Glad i didn’t have to wait long!

This one is one of the better 001 proposals. Although it's not my favorite. It offers too much explanatory power and gives a concise answer to the origin of the foundation. That should be left more ambiguous I think.

Imagine if the UA-cam Algorithm achieved sapience
I do like the idea of doctor wondertainment being originally an employee before escaping.
