The old Polonez look is a rejected project for Lancia Delta. I think it looks pretty good. I don't know who designed the "new" one (late 80s/early 90s) but probably not Italians this time 😂
Fun fact: the double transmition is common on tractors, at least not to high class ones. The second lever in france is called a "levier de gamme" and the first lever is called "levier de vitesse". They allow for different ratios depending on the situation, one for high speed and one for work speed... Etc..

Yeah. I learned how to drive manual on a low gear. Made it hard to kill it on accident
If you're lucky you can also get an inverter. It's a third lever that allows you to go the same speed in reverse and forward.

5:58 my husband and I have a 95 GTI VR6 built up for autocross, so all spring through to the fall I get to listen to VR6 noises :) basically straight piped, no cat, with a borla. It sounds so good. He can't wait to turbo it!
The Double shifting is also used in some tractors, just looks a bit different. John Deere's powerquad transmission has 4-6 main gears and u can shift up 4 times in the main gears
