On my wishlist, thanks for the review. By chance, do you know if the DLC (deluxe version or whatever it's called) is already out and if it's worth it? I think it adds 4 quest and some cosmethic items.
Nice review Alex, I was looking forward to this one mostly due to the local co-op as I'm a 90s kid who grew up on the SNES JRGs who would love to play games like those with my kids. We did that with Secret of Mana and had a blast, but obviously I already knew SoM's plot and game mechanics, so was looking forward to a new game we could experience for the first time together. However based on yours and other reviews I think we'll wait for a sale.
I have the collector's edition pre-ordered. However its for the PS5 as i was concerned with the visuals of the game. I'm glad the switch version seems fine visually. Regardless of version I'm excited still for this game.
Not enough reviewers talk about performance, whether it runs at 30 or 60. This has become a big issue for deciding whether to get a Switch or PS5 version of certain games.
I have finished everything in this game, such as Max Lv 99, 10 beast keys, all 3 gods, Legendary Manatities, also the 4 DLCs. Unfortunately, I still missed 1 (???) monster between “Vampire Bat” and “Varia Tail” in Encyclopedia of Desperacia area. Could anyone help me what monster is it and where can I find it?
50€ for 15h is fine the problem with trinity trigger is that it's 50€ for 15h and 4 story dlc for 5€ each and that why I've lost interest in this game. if your game is 50€ you should put all your story in the game. Story dlc is ok when you already have enough story in your game and if it's not release day one, do it like the xenoblade games.
I have been playing it for 6 days & are at level 60 with my characters, over all its Okay, but going from Cat Quest 3, which had spots I could spend 30 minutes defeating the same enemy to go up 5 levels to playing this game that only got me up 1 level from doing the same is annoying. The chest monsters do way to much damage & the amount of enemies that damage you with poison attacks that you have to take antidote for to prevent taking to much damage from it is also annoying, & the super monsters are way to powerful & don't have a lot of dodging space when battling them & they don't really have a good reward worth the amount of potions you have to take during the battle for the reward, for example I used about 40 potions to avoid a game over while defeating it.
Sadly this for me is a "wait until it's on sale" game, some of the negatives were just too big for me to get on day one. Hopefully, there will be patches down the road.
Alex, would you consider the people raving about this game to be exaggerating? For someone like me who used to collect heavily for switch but who lately has slowed down because of financial issues, meaning that the last two games I bought for switch physically were metroid prime remaster and octopath traveler 2, would you consider this a must buy physical title, or no?
Thought might get as love RPGs and the art style looked nice but after ya review main flaw that stuck out was the map issues is a turn off for me thx guess I will pass.
The story and characters here just seem painfully generic to me and the voice acting that I heard in the trailers that I watched was like nails on a chalk board. So although the gameplay and art style both look appealing, I think this is going to be a pass for me. It's hard being a JRPG lover but also being sensitive to tropes, unoriginality, and cringe, because the genre is so rife with all of the above.
Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing! WIll you be checking out Trinity Trigger on the Nintendo Switch?
On my wishlist, thanks for the review.

I'm starting to really love the 20-30 hour game length for RPGS. Just don't have the time I used too

1st glance at that thumbnail reminded me of the 3Houses protagonists 😅
I've yet to play 3 Houses but I knew what you were talking about.
may hold off a bit for a sale or more reviews but, in the end, looks right up my alley. Big Secret/Trials of Mana fan!
Looks like a fun quick ARPG but probably going to wait for a sale. Thanks for the review!
In the Thumb: Edelgard, Dimitry and Claude from FE 3 Houses.
I was very excited for the game and pre-ordered. Looks like I should have waited for a sale.
Btw, anyone who like indies should give Dredge a try 😸
Your reviews are top notch.

Just waiting for day 1 physical to show up and its on! Grabbed this for my Son Wife and myself to jam out to.
Thanks for the video.. the game look good.. I picked it up physically just haven't opened it yet.. after this vid I'm gonna open it!
Hm. Im actually quite interested in this one. Glad to see that it's a pretty decent game. Another one for my wishlist!
I did expect this to be closer to the £30 marl, I'll wait for a sale.

They seemed to update the game because the environmental damage has been reduced to 1hp per hit when your allies run into things.
Been a year and completely forgotten about.
Definitely will check this out, right up my alley.
I'm waiting for the physical edition to be back on amazon.
Just pre ordered the day one edition 👍 hope you get one too
@@sikevillain it shows as unavailable to me.
Just picked up a sealed copy for $35 👍
I was sold when you said this can be played with 2 players
really cool the base game is a special edition
I'm waiting for Sea of Stars ✨
Thanks for the review! Looks like a fun short charming game.
It doesn’t look the worst game ever and I like the fact it’s shorter than most RPGS so definitely be a sales pick up for me
Sounds like a good game to buy for sub-10 bucks when you've exhausted all other options.

Well said.
wait, is the extra DLC not included on the cartridge? I see the digital "deluxe" version is the same price as the physical edition
Exactly the game looks OK, just not worth it's current price tag
Looks like a fun game…very nice looking

I get more Ys vibes.
I've heard that the dungeons and ai team mates can be very bad. At this rate I'll probably wait for a sale.
Was looking forward to this, but it actually looks kinda pants...
First comment :V
2 Player Support? Not 3 Player?...😢
game looks lazily built... boring tile repetitive sets
mobile game

I will admit though, it looks like it would be pretty fun to play in co-op with a friend. I don't have any of those anymore though 🤣
It looks like a PS3 game.
