Great video! Thx a lot for your effort. Because of you, I discovered the Mcpro24fps app, which has a bit of a learning curve, especially if you want to shoot in 10bit and if one includes the neccesary work in Premiere Pro.
I'm still struggling to get a good result after rendering. I use the SDR effect in PP to not having it handle the files as HDR. I shoot with the mlog80 and use the corresponding LUT from the official app's website. And still, I get some strange colors here and there, an overall pretty soft picture and "smeary" motion. The recording in H265 is obligatory to have 10it working on my Galaxy S20+. As what format do you render your 10bit projects? A tutorial on how to color grade and render the 10bit smartphone recordings would be great! Greets from Germany.

Unfortunately Filmic Pro have not fixed the issue on Android where recording in 10-bit includes HDR metadata. This means video looks wrong in a regular rec 709 colour space. i want to record some parts of it in 60fps for some slow motion at 30fps playback (they’re close up detail shots of a car while rolling in a lit tunnel at night). but as for the rest of it, Is it fine to record in 30fps and put both in the same time line? also, iphone 12 allows 10 bit dolby vision HDR at 30fps but only 8 bit at 60fps. 25fps vs 50fps doesn't change radically your perception, only the shutter angle does. :)
50 fps is smoother when the camera pans.
25fps with an angle at 180° is standart.
An angle below 90° feels choppier and more video like (less motion blur), used in action scenes (still cinematic though).
So filming at 50fps would requiere an angle set at 360° to preserve the 25fps 180° motion blur smoothness.
The Hobbit could have been shot on film with the exact same effect. :)
Just saying that people watching the Hobbit were biased by the idea that it would give them a headache... Bad press and a poor technical knowledge of what's going on are in cause.

Also, preach somewhere else. I never made a claim for cell cameras being movie cameras chump, try reading. Here in Hollywood, we use whatever tool we can to get things done. If we are excited that a cell camera can shoot at 10 bit when even most mirrorless and camcorders still shoot at 8, more fun for us that make an effort! I shot 10 bit with a log curve and took it into Davinci, amazing. That I have it in my pocket all the time? Spectacular.
