Great video with good advice. My tips: - Clean and wash your car, especially the windows and mirrors (it will also help to spot some hidden damage) - get some good sleep - be respectful and kind And remember: it's a trackday, not a championship race. Don't take it too seriously and have fun 😘
Tires and pads! So important! That by far is probably the most important for me. Proper tires and pads will keep you from going into the bushes, and pay for themselves in saved paintwork. Don’t forget about nutrition, sleep and hydration, also, wear sunscreen, long sleeves, a hat, and stay out of the sun as much as possible. It’s a physically demanding sport, not just sitting in a car!
Essentially, bring a support vehicle with all the goodies(Fluids, tools, air pump, snacks, cooler)...the wife's SUV, etc... nothing fancy, but it's nice to have a place to work out of.
That dumps a bunch of heat into your AC condenser, which basically preheats the air going into your radiator and affects its ability to transfer heat. So while it's nice for the driver, it will stress your car's cooling system more. If you start to see your engine temperature rising, turning off the AC is the first thing to do.
It depends on the year of your Miata, and how frequently you track the car. Feel free to email our support team and we'll provide a detailed answer. (support@flyinmiata.com)
I love that your NC has a captain's hat on the dash LOL

Question, on a somewhat hot day do you run your AC if you have one?

@@FlyinMiataVideo understood thanks!
Can you comment on how the RF model fits into the roll bar conversation?
As always, check with the organizers. The top isn’t really structural.
What tire pressure do you suggest for the Miatas?
What about engine oil? is required a track oil or a regular 5W-30 will do the job?

What if you don’t have rollbar but have a hardtop? Would that pass tech
The hard top is not really structural and will not pass tech at most tracks.
Some clubs that put on Track Days rent helmets
uh, flip-flops are allowed in the paddocks.....
