Did you adjust them between the adjustor screw and valve or between the cam lobe and roller? Seen a few guys do it on either but manual says lobe and cam. Cheers
@@rob7385 after market from repco 100 dollars . The problem wasn't the fuel pump though . I though just in case , due to hesitation issue that i was having . The fuel pump and crank sensor were the hardest to get to .
@@lauchlanmenegon5916 What do you know that we retired mechanics as well as the engineers who designed the engine, then tested it, do not know? No doubt you have researched the correct values and can now tell us.
@Bob Hudson I know that 0.015 of a mm is to tight of an adjustment for valve adjustment.. I just googled the specs and they are 0.15mm. do you need any more lessons on valve tolerances ? please tell me more about engineers and .015. did you retire straight away after your apprenticeship ? because you know nothing
Apologies, I failed to mention the valve clearance. For this engine it’s measured cold. Intake and exhaust are 0.15mm (0.006”).
Great video, thanks.
Can you please provide a link (in the video description) to the instructions you found online as well?
excellent mate thanks for that, very helpful
This was very helpful thank you 😀
One tip to make your job easier is to wash your engine before any dismantling
I had a garage to my adjustments and now I have a permanent ticking noise when it warms up. I’m guessing I will have to go in and find out what one?
Sounds like one has been adjusted incorrectly. Take it back to the garage or adjust it yourself.
wish that exactly what needed to be done was explained in a bit more detail but thanks for the rundown

I measured and adjusted between the cam lobe and roller
Cam lobe and roller, cheers
Did you have to tighten or loosen . Mine has done 300,000km and never been adjusted . Just wondering if i should .
From memory a couple were a bit loose.
Did you find the valve clearance needed tighting or loosning . Mine has done 300,000km and never been adjusted .
Yea mines done 120 and debating if or not to do them!?
@@rob7385 don't bother . I did mine at 300,000km and only needed a slight nip . If they arn't noisy wouldn't bother .
Thanks mate
Yea righto how much was the fuel pump?

How far out was it on the end?
A couple were slightly loose from memory and needed adjusting.
One thing you did not mention valve clearance!

0.015mm (0.006”) for intake and exhaust (cold). Thanks for watching.
