This was fun to tour! It has been great to watch this unfold . It is an urban -modern barndo and has the owners designs stamp all over it . The customization just show that you guys can do design and produce what the customer wants and needs.! the crew and all who are connected to this build, should feel proud !
I've really enjoyed watching this build. The homeowners are going to love living in this beautiful barndominium! It was really cool that you gave us a rough idea of the total cost (not including the land). Gives everyone a better idea of what it might take to make this a reality. This is definitely the floorplan I love and hope to have one of my own someday soon. Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!
I live in SW Mi but have been trying to move to NW Mi... It has been a challenge to say the least finding a contractor/builder for a barndo... l still have a couple that I have not called as I learn more on the building codes what is & is not permitted. There has to be someone who is as professional towards their clients as I have seen from you. I have not looked at your plans lately but by watching this video it sounds like you have went above most others including a ball park figure in cost... I am hoping this will carry out into other contractors across our great and vast Country. Many factors are different from Texas to Michigan as would be expected, 60# snow load 48" frost foundation ect. In the last few yrs there are more Barndominiums showing up here thanks to you & others who have been doing such a good job in making the other states see a unique alternative for homes than just stick built. If by chance you have any info on builders you have heard of for my area that you can pass on to me would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for sharing another great build...
Interesting design choices for affordable housing. The black exterior is trending but holy hell it’s got to dramatically raise the temperature of the house. 🔥
Love the rock, the concept, layout, beam and laminate floors. The other finishes, paint color choice, bathroom tile and yellow cabinets look outdated imo and sadly this brand new build already looks like it needs an update. But I suppose it’s preference. Nice tour video. Thanks.
Can this plan be modified? For example reducing the square footage of the shop and extending the living area? Moving things around in the design such as closet/bathroom placement?
Always love the flower arrangements. 💐 Also, love y’all’s builds, but why are the gutters always at the front of the outside pillars?! It takes away from the pretty wood and stone. Can they not go to the side?
Love the build but have a question…if I were to build this on my land the front with all the glass would be the southern facing wall. Just wondering if that would be a mistake here in East Texas
In the new code that is correct however it will take several years before people / cities adapt to that and require it. Most folks believe that is ridiculous as well.
Way too much money for a barndo ! Contractors have surely tacked a price !! Over head !! Not pointing fingers but it didn’t take long for prices to catch up to a home price ! But I wouldn’t have any other than you all to build ! What do appraisals say about pricing ? And taxes
Thanks you. Barndo’s properly built were never cheaper than a conventional home because they have similar to same parts. 80% of builds are with banks. Every job has to have an appraisal with a bank. The appraisals have always been favorable for the client. We don’t have as much control as you think. Although we do risk losing money if not managed properly. We make efforts to keep overhead down by buying our own equipment however there is only so much you can do. It cost what it cost. Everyone wants a cheap price when they buy and to sell for high…. That’s not the way markets work indefinitely. People that built with us in 2019-2021 made out with large amounts of equity because of an inflating market. Now that doesn’t appear like it will come down back to that pre Covid pricing.
2bd 2bath for $432k to be built as of today in Texas. Man that overhead is astronomically high, if you had said this was built in Arizona or somewhere up north like Idaho or Montana, that price would be on target.
@@TexasBestBarndominium being from Texas myself and knowing the cost of labor and what the labor market brings in the means of workers, that dollar amount for a small home is outrageous.

nice work, love the design on this one.
A pocket door would have been a great use of space for the master closet
That Barndo turned out great! We have a similar garage door and are really happy with it.
@@fourpressmedia2674 awesome bet that looks great 😊

I love this!
Nice build!
Nothing grinds my gears more then the ribs not lining up from the wainscoting to the main walls.
Sure. There are no wainscoting on this build though…
@TexasBestBarndominium shoot your right I'm sorry. I was watching on my phone. It is the roof to wall rib joint.

Flat roof didn't buy much savings. At least it's still defending the $200/sq ft goal.
