@@TheAnimeist that's what I thought too. I was afraid I was gonna have to pay a big chunk of change to fix my board. But to quote the email from FM, "Our technicians found that your GT's Motor was not performing up to specifications, causing the issue, and was replaced under warranty." Despite having 1700 miles! Heck whatever I'm thankful.
how fast were you going when the motor died on you? or did it just not start going one day? hoping it's the latter but if it's the former I'm just wondering if you still had pushback before it cutting out on you?
OMG! Dude! Your comments about the CPSC ruling are spot on! Exacty the way I've felt about it from the first time I heard it. I bought a Pint X in March of 2022 and, without any board sport experience per se, I pushed myself just enough to learn how to ride it. I thought it looked like so much fun about 4 years prior when I first saw a video about it. When I finally plulled the trigger and bought one, I was bound and determined to ride it. It took me until mid June 2022 to finally be confident enough to join the local Facebook group on a ride and I've never looked back! I soon outgrew the limits of the Pint X and bought a GT in September of 2022. Now both are a HUGE part of my life. I ride one or the other every chance I get. I thought about selling the Pint X but I love each one for different reasons, Just a couple days ago, I invited some of my coworkers, including my supervisor and his manager, to try one out since they expressed interest in riding it. They learned it so quickly with my help, I was amazed. Now their enthusiasm is so high, I'm hoping they'll be able to purchase their own. I've also told them about the CPSC ruling and they agree with my opinion (and yours, BTW) and are accepting the risks involved. That's the way it is with any such activity or sport. I really think nearly any PEV the risks are nearly the same, most of all the electric unicycle which are capable of speeds much faster than the Onewheel. It makes me feel that, for some reason, the CPSC has unfairly singled out Future Motion/Onewheel as the scapegoat of the uptrend of PEVs. Everything comes with risk, especially any kind of motorized sport and those who choose to partake in that sport. Granted, I've fallen several times, gotten bruises and such but I wholeheartedly believe it was not the fault of the board, mostly just balance issues and my inexperience in riding. In March, I experience my first nosedive on the GT but that was because I tried to beat traffic crossing a street and tried to accelerate faster and harder than the board was capable of. I accepted the consequences of my (truly) mistake and had a black eye to show for it. But I got right back on and rode it the next day. As the old saying goes, "If you fall off the horse, you have to get right back on and ride." The enjoyment I get out of my Onewheels by far exceeds the expense and injuries I've sustained. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Truly one of the most worthwhile purchases I've ever made and I can't say that with enough enthusiasm.
I accepted the risks when I bought my board. I accepted the blame when I exceeded my skill and broke my leg. The only thing I didn't accept was defeat -- I may still have a limp, but I'm back on my board and better than ever. Some people think I'm crazy. Some people are proud that I didn't give up. I'm just happy.
@@sly_sync same lol. Got drunk one night, just left the bar. Had my headphones in, music blaring. Forgot to bring a clear face shield for my helmet so I was using my extremely tinted one. Needless to say it was a bad idea. Drove right off the road into the median because of my lack of awareness due to all my circumstances lol. Broke my right foot and totaled my bike. I ended up buying a new one right after my foot healed. Still riding to this day 🤙🏼
I'm right there with ya. I've been riding now for almost 2 years. Last 4th of July I nose dived and broke my collar bone. Once I was totally healed up I was back at it. It was my fault and after my surgery I was much more careful on my riding. I no longer push it and just ride without trying to do anything wreckless. It's a learning lesson. As it is with everything that can be dangerous. But with time you know your do's and don'ts. Lesson learned.
Love the onewheel content! You were one of the reasons why i got a onewheel and now after 4000 miles i still love it! No nosedives, even though I push my XR to the max.
Ive had one nosedive 204 miles in, was going about 19.4 mph on my pint x.. I have really good reflexes so I was able to run a few steps to slow down my fall 😅
I own a pint I've overpowered it easily and nosedive going up hills or going from a decline to an incline quickly. I've had some nasty falls and I wear my helmet every single time I ride. I'll tell you what though, I've kayaked, Rock climbed, repelled heights greater than the Statue of Liberty and that adrenaline is the same adrenaline I get from one Wheeling. I've owned this pint for 4 months and I'm selling it and upgrading to a gt. I believe it's worth it for the safety features and strength in torque. This was amazingly informative. Love from Utah.
I have broken my ankle on the GT. I was riding at 10 to 15 mph and I hit a loose patch of gravel. The board came unstable and I jumped off and my front foot landed in front of the board. The board still had movement to it and ran into my ankle. That is when it broke. I thought I had just bruised until I put weight on it and it became dislocated. I have a pint as well and I don’t think it would have happened if I was on the pint. The GT is just so much heavier and makes you feel like you have this sense of confidence unlike the other boards. I think it’s more dangerous than other models because of how much power it has. Me breaking my ankle was totally my fault though because I was being a bit reckless. I will still keep my GT and I have had a blast on it so far and hopefully still will. I hope you are safe out there and having fun.
Been on the fence on getting a Onewheel. Mostly due to not being able to swap that battery out. Paying $2,500 for a device that better be around for life. That is a crazy amount of money to spend on something that could be a paper weight.
Those issues still exists. I just bought a brand new Pint X less then 40 miles on it, I’ve had to send it back twice already for repairs due to 1. bad motor the first time, 2. The board ghosted the first ride back from Future Motion. Board still rides so much worse then my first one wheel Pint X, the board is a lemon and FM refuses to correctly fix the board. If you do decide to support this company just beware they blatantly lie and absolute give zero concern to customers satisfaction and will most likely deny any warranty by saying they fixed it but not accurately fixing anything. They’re amazing boards but the company is the worst.
My Pintx has been repaired 3 x and is currently bricked, but out of warranty. I’ve had these similar experiences with several plus,XR, pint, Pintx and GT boards. At a minimum I would like FM to recall and refund these bricked boards. My injuries from mechanical failure (not user error) as determined by the board shutting off mid ride, are a separate topic. It looks like Vesc has solved many of these defects gives me hope that OW riding error can finally be in the riders hands. WTTW don’t ride harder than you can roll it out.
Great video - when operating any motorized vehicle there are risks....Understand the risk, follow the safety instructions, ride within your skill level....I bought the GT last December, waited until April to get my hands on it....Bought a Pint X to learn how to ride in the meantime.....Two of the best "Impulse" buys of my life......I cruise at 10-15 mph carving up sidewalks and trails in my area.....These OneWheels are fun, entertaining, and emotionally therapeutic!
I ride mine all over town. I run errands with it. I take it to job sites and cruise the local areas, I use it to get lunch when my Model Y is charging… I love this thing! Almost 2000 miles.
Hi Jimmy, nicely said. Congrats on your GT and I am glad you are enjoying it. The agency's statement sounds like it was prepared by the plaintiffs' bar. I read somewhere that there have been four deaths since 2014 and while each one is sad and unfortunate, I also heard that each one involved a rider without a helmet. FM seems to go above and beyond not just designing the safety features that you mentioned in your video into the board, but in the accompanying material and videos they always advise wearing safety gear, most importantly a helmet. I agree with you, most of the crashes likely involve rider error.
@@freshlycharged in the order of most often, Mten4, Master, GT, T4. At first I didn't think I was going to get the hang of the Mten4 but once I did, it is turning out to be so much fun. It's great for low speed exploring and so far I've gotten it up to 20.1 mph. I did a range test on it on a figure 8 track and got 30 miles of range and I'm at 200 lb so it really really surprised me in a good way. The GT has never come close to running out of juice and I feel way more safer on it that I did before. The Master and T4 both feel like I'm riding on a cloud. The Master I've gotten about 80 miles out of and the T4 maxed out at 45 miles of range. To me T4 is a great wheel for group rides and trails and I'm using the Master as my long-range cruiser for now. Somehow I've got to stop myself, LOL
So sad that Onewheel is not consumer repair friendly an wont let you replace your own battery, that is the only obstacle still stopping me from buying one, just can’t see paying $2500 for ride around product that I’m not allowed to do such a basic electronic repair, another good video👍👍
Great video Jimmy! Since you ride all sorts of electric vehicles I was wondering if you ever had the desire to add Electric Mountain Boards to your quiver? I personally ride a MBS Electric Mountain Board and chose this instead of the One Wheel for 3 important reasons. Firstly range my Mountain Board is only limited to the size of Lipos I put in the battery box. My current range is 50 miles approximately. Secondly the ability to ride it like a snow board, carving jumping etc. lastly the dreaded nosedive.
First off congrats on more Onewheel content, and your new channel. When the GT was released I honestly believed it was built for you. I mean it looks slick, does not look like it was Homebuilt, and all the little things that you have commented on in the past. That said, I was super impressed by your critique, and your outspokenness. And then came the controversy, wow, we have really been through a lot. I just wanted to say that the interview that you had with Kyle was extremely eye-opening, and I believe the questions that you asked and the answers you got really gave us a more intimate look inside of the company. Thank you for that. All the best, keep them coming, and enjoy the ride. I do think that the GT was a board built for all the wrong reasons, they make sense to future motion, but they don’t make sense to the majority of Rogers that I know. However, I now understand that we are not that demographic that they are selling to. To really have a great GT you need to get rid of the tire get rid of the foot pads and possibly lower the axle. For the amount of money that you would have to spend it really is difficult for me to even contemplate getting one. Aoxomoxoa
Welcome back to the flow, back to one wheel! I recognize most of the locations in this video, so I look forward to another encounter with you in the wild as I patrol the neighborhood routes and trails. 🤙
I would love to see a comparison of the Pint X and GT. I know what the specs say, but I’d like to hear from someone who has ridden both. I’m trying to decide which vehicle is better for me, so a comparison would be great. Thank you for your thoughtful content.
After rereading the report it is clear to me this has less to do with the product and more with the company. CPSC seems to have an ax to grind with FM and has gone this route because they pushed back on the recall suggestion. It's clear in the language of the notice CPSC is not adequately familiar with how the devices operate. Stating boards "suddenly stopped while in motion" but not extrapolating. My use and understanding is that the board can not simply stop on its own. Did they mean board stop functioning or referencing nose dives? This is my biggest problem with the situation rn. There is abundance of vagueness and little definitive statements about what makes it dangerous. I'm left wondering if the design FM implemented in firmware or hardware has a legitimate failure or if CPSC acted before understanding.
The lower your battery is and the heavier you are, the less your going to be able to send it. As a community, we don't want to admit that we are all on a 1 wheel rotating axis and when we overpower physics, we are going over the edge. With 2 or more wheels you just slow down or stop. We are all just basically riding an inverted pendulum... pendulum riders. 99% more of a inherent physics problem rather than design issue. The other 1%, yeah maybe loose nuts in older models but look what people do to their cars. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that when you've got all this extra juice (PintX and GT), you're much safer and less chance of nose diving. That's why you hardly see GT crashes because it's got all that battery and torque. I think FM can use that as a great argument to the CPSC. OG Pints and XRs are no longer sold and that PintX and GT is inherently safer since they have bigger batteries and enhanced safety features built in. FUTURE MOTION, discouraging battery upgrades, you are endangering everyone with older model Onewheels rather than protecting them.
This is great! Getting my first one Friday! Hoping the learning curve isn't too hard. Is it ok to ride on the sidewalks in CO? I'm in Highlands Ranch, trying to avoid as many Karens as I can.
Don’t listen to that crap. Future Motion may be a company with problems, but the Onewheel is fantastic and changes peoples lives. Usually for the better.
Saving up for a GT... Here in Denmark there is also strict rules about PEV´s especially speed limitations on fx e-scooters are to have a max speed of 20 kmph "12,4 mph" helmets and lights are a law also while you can still ride on e-bikes without helmets and go much faster legally which is completely silly! i will get my OW GT in the new year and i will ride it no matter what the law says! i will wear the needed safety gear "always helmet"
Thank you for the video! Onewheel riders = Darwin awards for PEV's. When I look on youtube I can see riders in cities with minimum or no safety gear at all + racing. This CPSC issue is purely self-inflicted problem, of course accidents do happen. To CPSC it doesn't matter who gets hurt or why they get hurt, but the increase in insurance fees do matter. The easiest way to prevent this is to slap a ban. And this is just the start. We have seen many other PEV's limited or banned in certain areas in the states too, there is a lot of youtube content people racing/speeding PEV's in public paths and near pedestrians, kids will copy. Only need one bigger accident to pedestrian or a few fatalities to riders and we reach the statewide news. This SPSC actions against Onewheels feels like a beginning of more strict regulation we have been requesting ourselves with stupid attitude by a few irresponsible riders. Please ride safe and leave racing to quiet areas to prevent unreasonable limitation like we have already here in the EU (for these exact reasons we start to see mirror in the USA).
What other device ejects the rider when they are pushing too hard? There should be a limit to how hard you can push the board without it just shutting down causing the rider to faceplant. This is not a skill issue, it is an engineering issue.
The thing is with saying it’s only dangerous when you push it to hard is that you shouldn’t be able to push it to hard that’s like if a tablet got so hot it could burn you if you overclock it but when you boot it up it lets you easily overclock it
It feels great to be back on a Onewheel. Snowboarding is my first love, so Onewheels go hand and hand with it. It is the best offseason training for snowboarding.
Hey Jimmy, love the comparison about other sporty/fun activities that also pose risk, very true This video might have gotten me a little closer to finally making a OneWheel purchase The issues with the early GT most definitely kept me away, keep these vids coming Love to hear your opinion about this product👍🏼
My criticisms aside, this is a great perspective on the Onewheel. I thought you slowed your Onewheeling down because there were safer alternatives, such as EUCs and eScooters. Did the GT make the OneWheel just as safe, or did the GT now relegate the safety of those devices? Perhaps too much generalization, but I think they are all comparable in safety. Except the handlebar on scooters makes me not want to ride those.
Is it any more dangerous than an EUC? Not having ridden a Onewheel, I certainly don't know. I do ride an EUC and falls from that device certainly carry the risk of injury. And they go a lot faster than a Onewheel. 36 pounds seems like a featherweight compared to some of the big EUC's and the Super Scooters are both way too big and heavy for my taste. P.S. Not discarding the box is sage advice for any PEV.
Now, I do not have a one wheel. As I said in a statement earlier. But my younger brother does own a one wheel. Through him I've heard nothing but praise about these devices. Just like with anything else. You need to build a certain skill level in order to safely operate these machines. People are so quick to blaming the machine when they get injured. But nine times out of 10 it is the person operating the machine that caused the injury by improperly using the device. Banning an item because of somebody's ignorance with said item? I just believe is a little overstepping. Require more warnings. Require certifications (That's a little much, I know), but banning the item all together I think is far past a little too much. Kind of crosses the line into babying people. Just my opinion. Great video as always man. Have a great day!!!
Well... I'm quite happy that FM did improve this beast, and don't get me wrong, it seems to be very cool. But the right to repair thing is still clearly a problem. I mean, i live in France, if anything goes wrong about some inside of it, it'll cost me so much, i just can't risk it. At least let the french official seller (RideOn) repair in France, it's economically and environmentally the least dumbest way. That's the only thing i ask. While this requirement won't be met, i'll stick with my XR, and if it dies, i'll switch to VESC.
Agree. As long as that device isn’t a death trap or prone to accidents beyond user ability and manual understanding, it should be “use at your own risk” much like the analogous grandfathered in examples you mentioned. Plus, I’m not big on anyone telling me what I can or can’t do *so long as it’s not hurting anyone else 👌.
Onewheel is honestly the best EV, and people should have the choice of what risk they put themselves in as long as they are not affecting others. My GT is my life and I ride it every day, it is the main reason I’m outside most the time. We don’t need the Fastest or the one with the most range as this is so fun and does so many things for each rider. #letusride thankyou to #futuremotion for making my life x100 better. Thanks from Australia 🤙👌👍
It is the fact that it can still nose dive and just shut off is the problem. With the VESC it’s shows that it can be changed and future motion still leaves that function.. seems like punishment for pushing the boards limits.
What do you expect it’s physics if the motor can’t sustain you while going faster of course it’s going to cut off the same thing happens on electric scooters and E bikes but on those the motor is not helping you balance so you don’t fall
@@coreykirby1632 why not just start throttling the speed and come to a safe stop or at least a few second window with an auditory beep so you can prepare...
@@Blox117 most of the time it’s because of demanding too much of the motor again, you have to understand one wheels are under powered so that’s why electric unicycles used to have the same problem until they got significantly more powerful
The anti right to repair stuff kills it for me, I want one but I will only buy things I know I can service myself and not be at the mercy of a company deciding they will dane to allow my property to fix
It is a double edged sword for me. If someone works on their Onewheel and it hurts them afterwards, should Future Motion be liable? I understand the frustration of not having more than one repair center, but I understand that Future Motion is trying to reduce risk as much as possible.
@@Andrew-vt4jt i do get that, but its not that difficult to service. add a warning label about shock risk if opened and then sell parts to tech save users with a promise of x number of years having parts available. would i recommend most people open one, probably not, but if you have worked on cars, ebikes, and scooter there isn't anything in there is going to be a very foreign concept. Its the same thing that has kept me from buying a tesla, though when availability if better hoping to get a electric f150 assuming its true i can buy any part from a ford dealership.
I'm 62 and one thing I can tell you, there is risks in everything. I know people who have died on bicycles, ladders, ........ One thing I can tell you, getting out and living your life is worth the risk, the one wheel has very little risk. However, I am not happy with their service policy, everything breaks or needs service.
I have never heard of them until you posted it. Now I want to try one! I'll reach out to them and see if they would like us to try it out. Thanks for the recommendation! Have you tried it?
ooof that scratch sound at 8:28 as the board hit the sidewalk. I had the original onewheel and didn't have that issue. Is this a common issue with the latest GT's?.
If only the ones making the laws saw things like this and escooters the same way. Anything is dangerous when used incorrectly. If you buy something like this take the time to learn how to use it.
Like you guys, I'm an avid EUCer & tho I cant see myself on a OW (too slow no range & just too little everything else, I get the sideways float thingy. CPSC is an organisation looking for a reason for its being. Afterall the cushy bureauracrats need justification for their monthly paycheck. Why? Name me any motorized sports that isn't "dangerous'. If thats the case, we mights banned everything & just walk. Wait...dont peeps fall while walking?? 😁
My friend wants one but he's over 300 lb with the board bend or break down and would it still work under his weight I know it won't go as far but I don't want to get one and he gets one and we can't ride and learn together
I think the safety concern is the board ghosting not anything else. What we saw with the trotter was it tipped over when no one was on it but the one wheel doesn't do that. I have a feeling that's what the cpsc is going after . If it's not idk what it could be if it's that it ejects you when u overpower it thats a user error issue most of the time . Proud xr owner still loving my board but it's now winter and snow is starting to fall so the slow times be coming xD
My biggest problem is when Onewheel fans forgives the lackluster motor and instead blame themselves and own abilities. When the motors fails when pushed too hard, instead of asking for better safety parameters from future updates, new motors, or upgrades, they internalize that inherent risk as riding outside of their skill limit. what skill limit? the only skill you need to know is to slow down and not overwork the weak motor. This what happens when there is a MONOPOLY. Instead companies competing to make the safest product or most powerful product. Fans are content with the existing risk and internalizes it as their own lack of skills. - End rant. (I love my onewheel, I want it to be better, so I criticize it because I love it)
Could you give an example of how the motor being weak contributes to its danger? Why would a stronger motor provide more safety? It seems a stronger motor has to push u forwards faster and so increase your forwards momentum if you keep pushing it til it gives out. So how fast do you want to be when it gives out? At 60miles per hour? It probably has power to push to 25% the excess speed, weather it has the grip or that it is set to is irrelevant. They have to put a cut off where it will fail before you reach catastrophic speeds regardless of its ability to go faster. It's a physics thing. The motor being underpowered makes no sense. It definitely is overpowered to the point it actually wheel spins on less grippy surfaces. It has enough power for the appropriate incline at which its gyroscope will work for, beyond which, the board's nose would be touching the ground (example a very steep slope) , or you would have to ride with an imbalanced board with a high nose height at all times, and never go in reverse, which makes it even less intuitive to learn and ride and becomes absolutely dangerous to not have an obvious balance point. Perhaps it's not the motor at fault then, it's the other bits of the board, you need a one wheel with a massive wheel, and a much shorter inter board nose distance to achieve steeper climbs.
No way to buy this, I am from EU waaaay far from the only service center :D. I much rather have my V12HT bought cheaper than this weak joke of a product :). And regarding the safety - it is impossible for me to overpower V12HT, not hard to overpower and nosedive weak onewheel.
@@Andrew-vt4jt well I am part of many EUC groups (Including V12 group) and it is rare to see cutout issue of V12HT. I also have Begode T3, and this proven 84V system from begode is proper bulletproof (and still peak 4500W :D). You have a lot of options in EUC world, and every single one of them is better than onewheel GT :D.
1:31 "Packaging that is not too bad for the environment" Oh wow really? How not too bad is it? I can't believe you would make stuff up like that. Reminds me of Wren claiming you get free energy when going downhill with a OneWheel, without considering the energy going up. Can we please just stick to riding, and not claim we are saving the Earth. I'm not arrogant enough to make such a claim. Thank you.
Its mostly cardboard except the plastic handle. The scooters and ebikes we receive are full of Styrofoam, zip ties, and bubble wrap. So yes, it is not as bad as other things we receive.
The Onewheel CPSC warning was was sent out because of 4 actual deaths caused directly by the Onewheel. You conveniently left that out and only referenced injuries several times.
As opposed to fake deaths? Or partial deaths? You've used a modifier in this case to make your statement more alarming sir, which is unnecessary. The CPSC will not give reference as to whom these people were, nor the actual incidents. Through the power of the internet snoops and social media though, Ive read all of them were not wearing helmets, which is a horribly reckless way to approach any board sport as a beginner, (full pads such as the ones worn by moto cross riders is generally recommended for beginners and pros alike) and one was the victim of a collision with a moving vehicle, meaning they were riding on the road with traffic without a helmet, an even worse idea. My condolences to the families of all who passed, may this serve as a vivid, brutal reminder to all riders that wearing a helmet is never an option, it's an absolute necessity. These people would most likely survived if that small precaution had been taken. Now if I said "There's your actual answer.", how does it come off sounding? Float on friends, I've found my happiness in an EUC for now, looking to VESC my "bricked by rain" XR at some point though cuz like y'all said, there's something about the Onewheel that makes the ride what it's all about. Until you've ridden one, you won't get it. The stoke is very real.

Here’s to the next 4000 miles!
That almost happened to me but I was going 20mph on my XR
If a tiny little 1 wheel could break your leg your obviously skipping leg day, get better …. with not skipping legs in the future .
Been on the fence on getting a Onewheel. Mostly due to not being able to swap that battery out. Paying $2,500 for a device that better be around for life. That is a crazy amount of money to spend on something that could be a paper weight.
I got a tynee mini 2 instead
I’m fine with my XR
Wait for the Floatwheel to come out and get tested by the community. If it does everything it says it will then thats the board you'll want
If you do decide to support this company just beware they blatantly lie
and absolute give zero concern to customers satisfaction and will most likely deny any warranty by saying they fixed it but not accurately fixing anything.
Well time to vesc your pint x 😅
Same i ride my while my Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo is charging
That’s rad. Maybe next you can have Lucid paint a Sapphire’s two-tone to match your GT.
Thanks for the insight, Mike. What are you riding these days?
This is the weigh in I’ve been waiting for.
Another great review! Thanks for the insights.
Your logo/profile photo for your new brand 'Freshly Charged' here is pure genius! 😄
Appreciate the support!
So sad that Onewheel is not consumer repair friendly an wont let you replace your own battery, that is the only obstacle still stopping me from buying one, just can’t see paying $2500 for ride around product that I’m not allowed to do such a basic electronic repair, another good video👍👍
Very very well put at the end, thank you!!
Appreciate the support!
Great to see you back on a Onewheel, looking forward to your thoughts of the Enduro and Kush

I prefer lemon kush over any hybrids IMHO
I remember when i bought my onewheel and i watched all your videos waiting for mine to come. Then you had like 450 subscribers and i subscribed.
Risk is everywhere but people need to take responsibility for the risks they take. A helmet and wrist guards are great at minimizing risk.
They trying to take it away like they took away three wheelers
Yea I think you're right about CPSC going after FM, which makes sense since FM values profit over community.
I have congestive heart failure and stage 4 kidney disease, death by Onewheel would be glorious. Live your life people 🤘😜🤘
You can still go for a ride....may cost you rest of your life, but Yolo
This is great! Getting my first one Friday! Hoping the learning curve isn't too hard. Is it ok to ride on the sidewalks in CO? I'm in Highlands Ranch, trying to avoid as many Karens as I can.
cancel your order asap. Trust me. not worth the money.
@@nc.sous.8827 Why do you say that?
Don’t listen to that crap. Future Motion may be a company with problems, but the Onewheel is fantastic and changes peoples lives. Usually for the better.
Glad you are back to doing onewheel content and being a voice for the community. I wanted to ask though, where did you get that jacket
The thing is with saying it’s only dangerous when you push it to hard is that you shouldn’t be able to push it to hard that’s like if a tablet got so hot it could burn you if you overclock it but when you boot it up it lets you easily overclock it
Well balanced content with pros and cons!
I'm assuming that's Bodhi Harrison on the coin.
Glad Onewheel content is back in this (new) channel, finally !
Great content as usual, Jimmy. Keep up the good work and, "Let us Ride."

Hey Jimmy, love the comparison about other sporty/fun activities that also pose risk, very true

The issues with the early GT most definitely kept me away, keep these vids coming
Love to hear your opinion about this product👍🏼
Im going to be a first time onewheel purchaser. im on the fence between pint x and GT.... cant decide!
Ill wait to get mines. Got a tynee mini 2 instead for now.
Everything is a risk walking down the road, driving a car, taking a bus, in fact just living
Would this be a good first onewheel to get or is the pint x a good one?
The Pint X is a great first board.
@@freshlycharged thanks for the advice
My criticisms aside, this is a great perspective on the Onewheel.
I thought you slowed your Onewheeling down because there were safer alternatives, such as EUCs and eScooters. Did the GT make the OneWheel just as safe, or did the GT now relegate the safety of those devices? Perhaps too much generalization, but I think they are all comparable in safety. Except the handlebar on scooters makes me not want to ride those.
What Jacket are you wearing Jimmy, so stylish 😊
it's an outernative jacket. I just got one as well. it's started on Kickstarter
What helmets are you guys rocking?
Is it any more dangerous than an EUC? Not having ridden a Onewheel, I certainly don't know. I do ride an EUC and falls from that device certainly carry the risk of injury. And they go a lot faster than a Onewheel. 36 pounds seems like a featherweight compared to some of the big EUC's and the Super Scooters are both way too big and heavy for my taste.
P.S. Not discarding the box is sage advice for any PEV.
Yes, I'm a box hoarder!
How long did it take for it to ship to you from purchase??
More one wheel content! And where can I get old Jimmy Chang merch??
I do think that Future Motion will create more repair centers if they can weather this storm with the CSPC.
Is the pint good?
ok... I am a little jealous... TFL has been out of stock on the kush wide GT pads FOREVER....
Thats funny, the tire breaker and pressure gauge are the same ones from amazon, for the same price.

The Onewheel is how Jimmy and I first met. It feels great to be floating again!
Very well said and love what you have to say about it!
Appreciate it!
What are your thoughts on FM dictating after sales market in regards to product services?
It is the fact that it can still nose dive and just shut off is the problem. With the VESC it’s shows that it can be changed and future motion still leaves that function.. seems like punishment for pushing the boards limits.
What do you expect it’s physics if the motor can’t sustain you while going faster of course it’s going to cut off the same thing happens on electric scooters and E bikes but on those the motor is not helping you balance so you don’t fall

If the GT is the safest, is the OG Pint the most unsafe?
What camera did you use on the Mountain Biking trip?

I'm 62 and one thing I can tell you, there is risks in everything. I know people who have died on bicycles, ladders, ........
But they make no mention of ghosting in their statement.
Mr. Harrison
- End rant. (I love my onewheel, I want it to be better, so I criticize it because I love it)
My motor is fine it’s me pushing it to hard that is the problem.
@@bigg_survivor_8876 that;s literally the definition of a weak motor
Oh no, I intentionally ignored the obvious built in safety features of this recreational product, this is everyone else’s fault!!
Euc >>>> one wheel

No way to buy this, I am from EU waaaay far from the only service center :D. I much rather have my V12HT bought cheaper than this weak joke of a product :). And regarding the safety - it is impossible for me to overpower V12HT, not hard to overpower and nosedive weak onewheel.
