I’ve been feeling really depressed and alone lately, but getting to spend 15-30 minutes with you always cheers me up. For what reason it feels like I’m there with you, look forward to watching your videos everyday 😊
Greetings from the UK everyone! After seeing that tree in the Hartley and the raindrops on the rooftop I’m definitely ready for Christmas now. What a beauty to die for! Sending tons of love to Laura and family plus whoever is reading this. 💕💕
I’m also in the U.K. It’s wonderful how great video content brings like minded people together from all corners of the world. The Christmas tree looks amazing and gives the Hartley a beautiful romantic feel.
I love the lit tree without decorations, or use minimal natural inspired decor. It will actually look more ‘natural’ once the plants are in the Hartley.
The Christmas light reflections off the windows of the Hartley magnifies the beauty ten times over. It’s like listening to Mozart in Boston’s Symphony Hall.
Russell amazes me in every video he is there, even in the Hartley, he is adorable, a professional photobomber. Have you ever considered doing a video of clips of Russell doing his thing in your video? You inspired us all Laura all year long, but now I can’t wait to start decorating for Christmas! Sending cheer and blessings to your family and everyone!
Oh Laura, the look on your face was priceless when you were trying to decide what was your favorite part of the tasks you were doing!🙂 it’s fun to see how much joy you get out of everything you do, and yes, it continually inspires and encourages your GA family! The tree in the Hartley looks amazing! With the shape and the lights, you don’t really miss other decorations. Looking forward to this winter season with you, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha, and the rest of the family (both two-legged and four-legged! Lol). 💚🤎💙
The bird house on the post looks wonderful...bet kitty will love it too. ... just the right height for him to lie in wait for a passing birdy. If so, just net off the side over the low fence bar.
What a difference that little bird feeder made! Lovely! Happy Thanksgiving (belated to our Canadian friends!) to everyone watching from the US 🦃. Hope you all enjoy your families and loved ones! Thankful for this community of kind gardeners 🙏
The scale of the Hartley tree is perfect! And it seems to me, the way you're describing how you will use the Hartley it will be more of a "Conservatory" than a greenhouse. It sounds more elegant too :)
You guys are such an inspiration to so many people from all over the world. The GA family can live vicariously through your eyes and enjoy the beauty of all the seasons, but for me, especially Christmas. From the tree in the Hartley, to the children’s fairy garden, to all the trees and lights all around your property. It’s all so gorgeous!
That tree looks magnificent in the Hartley, even without ornaments! The peak of the birdfeeder on the post beautifully echoes the shape of the Hartley roof too. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Hartley with the rain, the gorgeous tree and Russell; the entire video and the Bird Feeder, aaahhh, a lovely morning...thank you Laura and Aaron!!!
Love the tree in the Hartley, and the bird feeder is a genius move. I love those moments when I look at something I’ve had forever and realize I can do something wonderful with it. I’m inspired!
Dear Laura, I have been watching your videos since 2016 and I would like to thank you for all the knowledge you share and hard work you do. Also I would like to let you know that I became interested in making succulent arrangements after watching your videos and now it has become my favorite hobby. My friends and family have also started showing interest in making those and are always approaching me for tips and tricks and I guide them to your channel. You and Aaron make a great pair and we can see that you are good people. Thanks from an Indian 🇮🇳 living in Germany 🇩🇪. Love to Benjamin and Samantha Grace.
That copper topped bird feeder is so Hartley-esque! It is on my wishlist! I love feeding the birds...it is such an awesome feeling to see all the little birds coming to the feeders! I ring a bell when I put out seed and the birds come flying from all around . 😃
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate the holiday. Thanksgiving reminds us to give thanks, count our blessings, and embrace those who enrich our lives. I am thankful for Laura and Aaron and everyone in the Garden Answer community for creating such a special place to share knowledge, learn and support one another. May you all be richly blessed. 🍂🍁💚🍁🍂
Good morning GA community! I have been working toward a wildlife refuge certification even in my small garden. Doing all we can to help the birds and beneficial insects make a home in our neighborhoods is well worth the effort and not difficult. Thanks Laura and Aaron for taking care of your feathered friends!
I had a lovely neighbor in Portland who had Suet Feeders for the birds and I would fill them for her when she was traveling. It was so amazing to see how fast they disappeared. ❤️
The tree is so magical, Laura. Thanks for sharing on Thanksgiving Eve! Seeing the tree set up in the Hartley, sparkling so, is a perfect way to enter the Christmas season,
Loved the tree in the Hartley. Thought the caladiums were gorgeous and such a lovely holiday vibe they gave to your space. And the bird feeder was perfection. Thank you!
Tree in the Hartley is magnificent! It’s perfect as it is….so many lights….and a perfect height. It’s so elegant in its simplicity….very spiritual. Caladiums are beautiful. They are such lovely colors and patterns. The bird feeder on the post is perfect in that spot. It is amazing how that one small object changes the look and feel of that space. WOW!
That tree is wonderful and uber cool with the dirt floor. This is like a promise for good times in the future! It's the vision that keeps our dreams alive as we work toward the goals.
Laura, your videos are so pleasant and uplifting. Thank you and Aaron for that. The Christmas tree in the Hartley is BEAUTIFUL!!! The Copper top bird house is perfect!
I love it when you walk into the chicken coop and say, "Hey girls!" It just makes me smile! And the Hartley looks amazing! AND that bird feeder is so cute!!!
🎄The Hartley is a beautiful addition to your home and family. I wish you all, and all those watching, a very blessed holiday season to come. Enjoy!! 🥰🦃🤶🏻👏🏻❤️
Laura, the simplicity of the tree in the Hartley it’s just beautiful. Also, I’ve never owned caladiums so I had a question regarding the bulbs. When planting caladiums in the landscape do they need to be dug up for the winter. If so, can they then be moved into a pot for the Christmas through Valentine season? I am in zone 6b. Wishing you and your beautiful family a happy Thanksgiving. I personally have to say that I am so thankful for your channel. You bring us more than just gardening, you are the highlight of my day and just put a smile on my face.
@ Maria, in the late fall I cut the leaves to my caladiums and elephant ears and re-planted the tubers (don’t bring in outdoor soil ) in my pots indoors. They are growing beautifully. This is the first time I have grown them so it’ll be interesting to see how long the leaves last. All of these plants were tubers when I purchased them in the summer. I wish potted caladiums were available in our gardening stores in the winter. Hence my rationale for bringing the tubers indoors. I am in zone 6 Canada which I believe is equivalent to zone 5 in US. ❄️🇨🇦
Yes, I'm in zone 7a and have to dig up my caladium tubers before the first frost. They have become one of my favorite plants. So pretty in the landscape and in pots. Wish I could get them in the winter for inside.
Oh the tree in the Hartley is beautiful and so enchanting. I’d want to leave it up all year to just bask in its reflective glory. Thank you for brightening our mornings and day!
Loved the bird feeder! It changed the whole look of that space and was definitely more “Lauraesque”!! The Hartley tree is gorgeous too! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!! 🥰🥰🥰
Good Morning Laura & Gardening Friend!! The tree 🌲 looks Simply Lovely in the Hartley. I have to share, that caladiums are a lovely alternative to poinsettias. Thank you for sharing more information on how to care for them.
Absolutely beautiful. If I were you I would have sit in the Hartley drinking a cup of cocoa while looking at the tree with Christmas carols on. So glad to see your dreams become realities. Enjoy the day.
I watched White Cottage Company after your video and noticed she has a bird house just beyond her porch, similar to your copper roof birdhouse, and also noticed she uses a previous pot for dirt. She frequently mentions you in her videos - just another fan - all over the world ♥
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your beautiful family. I am so thankful for the time and energy you have all put in to creating a wonderful global community that shares the joys of gardening and creating with you. Also extended blessings to the rest of your families and friends who have shared tiny pieces of their lives. 🦃❤️
The bird feeder is beautiful! Your family will enjoy watching the birds, I bought a book on birds when I put our bird feeder up. Our family would look up the birds that would visit the feeder, it was a lot of fun. Still to this day my children now in their 20’s love seeing the birds at the feeder. We are blessed with cardinals visits.
Lura, with power tools solving gardening problems small and big, is my hero. When i found out our lattice is coming loose from its post, I asked hubby to fix it. He said it does not need fixing. I said then i will bring the drill and do it myself. He said you will cut your fingers. I said I won't. Where did i get the confidence? From Laura. Thank you Laura!
Be still my heart! The tree is so pure and lovely, love it with no additional decorations. Bird house is where it always belonged-- spot made for it. Then all the gorgeous caladiums! They are the queen of my summer garden, white ones for the patio and light pink in a huge blue pot in the front. With the addition of Vista snowdrift by a fountain, perfection without a lot of fuss. Proven Winners is da bomb!
The tree does look spectacular as is! Those tiny lights covering it completely and the reflection on the glass is magical ✨✨ I wish all you Garden lovers a beautiful Christmas season🎄✨ I hope to see the birds on your feeders❤️I love to identify different birds! 🤗
What a great blessing! The ending when Laura was trying to determine what project was the best part of her day…”the bird feeder…or maybe the Hartley…but the caladiums were fun too”! Life should be so full of those little blessings every day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. 🍁🍂🍁
It's always wonderful starting the day with Garden Answer and coffee. How beautiful everything turned out. You have such great ideas, that bird feeder is tops!
Oh, for next year I can also envision pre-lit wreaths or swags on the doors of windows on your Hartley. It would look so festive!! So many different ideas I’m sure you must have!! 💜
..." in the glasshouse with rain falling down"... sounds like lyrics to a song. I enjoyed the memory of bird feeders! (We just can't have them in the city) Seeing the tree in The Hartley has me jazzed up to decorate! Thank you for the inspiration! 🎄💗🐈
That is a pretty tree and yes we can hear the rain. Awwww❣️ The tree Is beautiful especially with Benjamin’’s garden lights in the background. In the night light, the metal on the Hartley has a purplish tint. Such a beautiful picture! Love the caladiums!
You make everything look so easy, I wish I was talented like you! The bird feeder is beautiful there and you cut it at the perfect spot. Things I would never think and that’s why I keep watching!! Keep the videos coming, Happy thanksgiving

I love how excited you get about the simple things and the big things. It's so obvious that you get such joy out of the projects you do. Your videos always make me smile and dream big for my garden.
The birdfeeder looks awesome - what would be amazing is if somehow you could have another birdfeeder posted a little bit closer to the Hartley and the birdfeeder would look like a miniature Hartley🤔🥰👍🏾👏🏾
Gorgeous tree in the Hartley. I always enjoy putting out the feeders. When the birds find it, it seems to bring life to the winter garden. Happy Thanksgiving. God bless.
They were all fun projects. Hartley and tree gorgeous!! The caladiums are so festive and beautiful. The bird feeder is a wonderful architectural addition and the birds will enjoy it too. Love starting my day with Laura and the whole GA Family☃️🎄🥁💖
Definitely gonna put up a bird feeder in my garden as well. (don't know why I haven't thought about it before). Also didn't know caladiums were so popular! they grow wild here in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 love watching your videos Laura ❤️
The tree is beautiful! Where did you get it? I love how the lights come on as you put it together, no more searching for cords to connect! Genius!! I can only imagine how glorious it must sound inside the Hartley with rain falling.
Such a glorious tree!!!! So pretty with just lights, more natural...perfect! Wow, that's ALOT of Caladiums, I was wondering if you were putting all those in your house. So nice of you to give them away. That is a gorgeous bird feeder, LOVE the copper top.
That bird feeder you put on the post looks beautiful there! Isn't it funny how little things can bring so much joy !!love the sound of the chickens! Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day !
When you took the cap off that post I cringed waiting for a spider and then thought, "that's crazy, no spiders?! How?!?!" Then a moment later... Ah, there it is 🤣 that bird feeder looks AMAZING right there!! I need a feeder like that to add to my collection... I'm a huge backyard bird feeder/watcher and have multiple feeding stations. It's such a joy to have the birds around in the garden ❤️
While you were showing the Hartley Christmas tree lit at night. It was so peaceful, I can imagine a person softly singing Silent Night. It is so beautiful! Your channel is such a blessing to me. Thank you for all you do!
Seeing the caladiums outside is inspiring me for next year already. I’m going to go back and binge watch your Spring videos so that I know what to do to prepare. I am so thankful that I found GA. It has helped me turn my sad barren property into a homey little landscape 💜
Yessss!😍. Love this idea! Get ready for Spring !!! Someone mentioned recently that first day of winter marks the shortest day. Its all uphill from there !!!
I’ve been feeling really depressed and alone lately, but getting to spend 15-30 minutes with you always cheers me up. For what reason it feels like I’m there with you, look forward to watching your videos everyday 😊
I get sad too. Sending hugs. Hope you feel better

Don’t they say now not to have bird feeders because they contribute to spreading disease?
That new bird feeder is SO CUTE. It has such a fairy tale vibe, which is perfect for that cottage garden area. 🐦
I had a lovely neighbor in Portland who had Suet Feeders for the birds and I would fill them for her when she was traveling. It was so amazing to see how fast they disappeared. ❤️

I’m so happy for you! There is nothing cozier than listening to rain on the roof.
While you were showing the Hartley Christmas tree lit at night. It was so peaceful, I can imagine a person softly singing Silent Night. It is so beautiful! Your channel is such a blessing to me. Thank you for all you do!
A quiet reprieve in the middle of Thanksgiving preparation!
Thank you, feel refreshed. My family thanks you too for a much calmer me!
Seeing the caladiums outside is inspiring me for next year already. I’m going to go back and binge watch your Spring videos so that I know what to do to prepare. I am so thankful that I found GA. It has helped me turn my sad barren property into a homey little landscape 💜
