She is always very discreet with regard to showing her baby bump, but it would be nice to see her in her full glory once in a while.
@@wendycash54 I agree, i love the baby bumps on women. It doesn't surprise me with laura as she is conscious of what shows during videos. Used to be back in the day it was a normal and respected thing to cover up your body now its more let it all be seen. I look at wedding gowns and they are see through. Like what the heck. Anyway...i wanna see baby bump too but respect what ever she chooses

Have never seen a fireplace like that with three sides. I love it and the mantle looks gorgeous!
The three-sides thing is probably at the root of the whistling sounds. It's probably some type of vacuum or vortex, caused by the air intake and where the heat is expelled. Just a guess. (I mean, I've never heard of anyone else's chimney whistling. Have you? What about wood stoves? Do they whistle?)
It's very strange.
@JakeJones, you are close to the cause. Laura has mentioned on several videos on how windy is her area. Whistling might occur as air is drawn quickly into the stove through the narrow aperture of the air inlets. It will stop if the air control is opened or closed slightly from its opened position, and should not be a persistent issue if the flue is performing efficiently. I highly recommend they hire a chimney professional to asses the problem. I installed a chimney cowl on mine and that solved the problem. There are many things they can do rather than having to come down, disrupt their sleep, and play around with those screws. She said in a video, I believe on the highlights channel, she hasn’t started on baby girls room, and may not for a few months after birth.

On the other hand, getting your personal space right is important. I think she gets what a giant project it will be.
I HATE it when people paint brick. IMO, a lot of people are just a little too paint-happy, period. They'll slap a coat of paint on anything. I'd make an exception for wall art or murals though. Different animal, entirely.

You can tint stone with watered down acrylic paint including any of your stone pots. I’ve done clients out dated stone fireplaces with beautiful results. Add a new door and voila!

That's what I was thinking too.
Gooseneck lighting is a great idea!!!! Maybe using an industrial style shade would give it a better size proportion.
for the big barn. They could use those vintage style warm white LED bulbs that drops down below the shade as they cast light out farther and the light softens the farther out it goes. A large metal monogram signs that says Garden Answer between the lights and the window above might look good also.
Definitely gooseneck lamps. They can be ordered in various colors, if you didn't want black.

It's really true! She even got grass to grow down the lane! That is so hard to do !! Between her designers mind and her high level of horticultural skills she makes Martha Stewart look like an amateur. I'm not exaggerating !! Have you seen Martha's recent show. It's so disappointing for anyone actually trying to learn to garden. I bet HGTV is going nuts that they can't get Laura to do a show!

Your three-sided fireplace is unique and so cozy. I have always liked the look of a seating area by a kitchen fireplace. It always seemed like a great place to enjoy eating a pastry or dessert, sip a cup of something hot and have a nice visit or watch your videos. 🤗 You’ve done a beautiful job decorating. Listening to Benjamin tell you it’s a nutcracker, I have a feeling he has an ear tuned in to you and Aaron more than you realize and can probably tell you the names of a lot of things indoors and out - especially tractor and equipment related! The studio is fantastic already and the garage doors look great. If you decide to stay in this home, once baby girl is older, you may want to remove the fireplace and replace it with something simple, classic, timeless and functional. Lots of detailed planning needed to make sure it has everything you want and need including lighting and electrical for decor.

It's your barn no one elses so you can put any kind of lights you want on it. You don't have to do standard anything so go with something beautiful that makes a statement and makes your heart Happy! You have very good taste use it!

Your new studio is going to be so fantastic! Ballard Designs have wonderful indoor/outdoor rugs that would be great for the floors, they have many designs, sizes and colors AND you can hose them off if they get dirty! I have purchased several of these rugs and have never been disappointed. Thanks for all of the awesome videos over the years, I love Garden Answer so much, you guys feel like friends!

Laura- Until you’re ready to tear that fireplace apart for a whole redo, it would still look great to build some simple wooden bookcase boxes on either side on top of the stone up to the ceiling. Then you could wrap the middle cutout section in wood. It’d be an inexpensive makeover to get you through! ❤️

Laura; Love your manel, it is so appropriate for Benjamin's age. You inspire me everyday. I did my fireplace differently this year. Gathered up anything wrought iron in my basement and other places. Decorative, ornate Christmas door hanger, 2 ft. wroght iron candlestick holder, etc. etc. place all on mantel and worked from there. Lots of lights, branches of deep dark red artificial red flowered branches, etc. etc. All placed on a black and red checked runner that lays under all of it. A more modern approach but love it. Wish I could send you a picture. Unusual but most festive with small birds stuck here and there.
You do an excellent job with everything you do with your home, gardens,etc.
