Exploring Old San Juan Historic District | Solo Hike | Is San Juan Walkable From Cruise Port?

You know it's been a good day ashore when you return to the cruise ship tired as heck and grinning from ear to ear.
My almost-six-mile hike from the port to the Castillo San Felipe del Morro (at the San Juan National Historic Site) was an out and back on cobbled streets and seaside paths -- with shade trees interspersed here and there to provide some relief from the tropical sun and the heat.
I can't wait to return to San Juan when I have more time to explore.
