Hi there! Great video! Question(s): how does the overall quality feels like? And I noticed you use the silent heads? How do they sound on the PDP, as I intent to buy/use them as well. I'm doubting between the PDP concept, Tama supertstar Classic and the Pearl Decade. Did you any research before you bought this kit?
    so many questions... sorry... :)

The quality feels very solid to me. I'm sure things might be more accurate on a DW kit but I couldn't justify the cost increase for it. I was surprised you actually get tones out of the drums with the silent strokes. You can tune the toms to each have their own note even. The snare sounds a little weak with the silent strokes but if you're doing rim shots it sounds fine.
I looked at those kits as well at the time but I just always liked DW so I went with the PDP kit. My guess is they're all very competitive since they're around the same price. I doubt you'd go wrong with either the Tama or the Pearl.

Thanks! I’ve bought the Pearl Decade in the meanwhile, but was veeeery close on buying the DPD, as I am, just like you, a fan of DW. But the 7-pc kit isn’t available here in Holland nor separate toms to expand the kit. But the Pearl on the other hand is expandable and the sound and quality of the gear is really great! Also with Remo SS :)
      Thanks again for your reply!

Music in The Making, I changed the batter heads to Evans G2s (Dry for the Snares), - Nice warmer sound with good tuning. Note that I used Evans G2 clear Rings on the Floor Toms and 1 Piece of Gatt Tape on the rack toms to get that nice Dooooo, Dooooo sound from the Toms. Jared on Drumeo describes it to a Tee. Good Luck and Happy Drumming. FYI, I'm 69 YO, Play only For Pleasure to My Music after a 50 Year Hiatus of playing Drums.BTW, I got the 6 piece PDP Concept Maple Kit (used from Guitar Center for $550 in excellent condition and just ordered the 8 X 7 Rack Tom - New directly form DW Drums for $165 Plus $9.95 Shipping, NO Taxes to NY. ! Love the sound of my drums. My Music consists of: Petty, Clapton, Stones, Beatles, Mellencamp, Cars, Talking Heads, CCR, Linda Ronstadt (she was the original DIVA), Eagles (which Linda helped to form), Hollies, Zombies, Cat Stevens, etc.,

I don't play it every day or anything but I play at home and have brought it to church a few times and have no complaints. Nothing has broken or anything like that.

Awesome man! What snare are you using? I have only been able to play it in my apartment but I'm going to be playing drums at my new church soon so I plan on bringing them since the church kit sucks.

@@musicinthemaking8519 I have a pearl Ian Paice steel snare and a Sonor Protean birch snare. Really different from each other but I love them. The pdp stock one came with a defect, the butt end was not straight so it was impossible to set the wires the right way. I am planning on repairing it but I've been lazy. I play mostly metal and rock, so really different from your playing style. The funny thing is there are no bands performing in churches here in Europe. I think in the middle ages, the Church decided that drum is a devilish instrument. It probably stayed that way until now.

@@Eurodrummer666 That's awesome. I actually play rock and metal mainly as well when I'm not playing in church. There's plenty of churches around here that don't like drums either unfortunately. But we have a lot of modern Protestant churches that do CCM so I can play at those. So PDP wouldn't replace the snare? That's odd.
