I just finished a trip to Normandy. I watched every one of your videos before I went and again when I got home. Your videos gave me information to better understand what I saw on the trip. Your work is fantastic! Now that I'm home I can compare some of the photos I took with your videos. So now when I come to your videos I can say Oh yeah, I saw that! Really enjoyed your work.
Thank you very much from Spain. I was on the beachs last August. I discoverd many interesting places, but i would like to Knew you before the travel. Great job.
Thanks this Content was excellent! Finally someone did it justice, explaining all the positions and using Drone Footage to convey the battle and give a better sense of how it was. ps thanks a bunch as most ppl only know SPR and that movie doesn't do Omaha justice imo.
Omaha beach was one of five beaches, there are no accurate figures of casualties although through a string of bad judgements and bad luck Omaha probably suffered the most casualties even though British and Canadian forces made up the majority of troops landed on DDay, the British and Canadians managed to get most of their tanks ashore however the American tanks were launched so far from the beach that nearly all were sunk by the waves. Every soldier who landed on D-Day was in my opinion a hero whatever country they came from, they were all scared but they went into the jaws of death with pure guts.
Great detailed work that made this entire days action much more understandable..its been estimated that the german machine guns were putting 50,000 to over 100,000 rounds per minute onto this beach. Incredible courage to take this beach and the 14 heavy defensive positions. Nearly incomprehensible heroism!
No frills, gripping info about a turning point in history. Just one small criticism, you pronounced the beach as 'Omah', when it should be 'Oma-ha, but excellent vlog otherwise.

Imagine what could have happened had Rommel gotten his way. Sitting there for 2 days... A Panzer division can do alot of damage in two days.
Yep, I have both of Rommel's books. WW1 book is Infantry Attacks. He knew his stuff.

Thanks for the comment. I do say Omaha, but I know it sometimes comes over as Omah.
Aides for the US military.
