Edited to make it more clear: This laptop in Windows S mode, you won't be able to install most apps that use a msi/exe installer and you'll be forced to use the Microsoft store. Some people get confused with this and blame the laptop manufacturer for this, BUT There are plenty of guides on how to opt out of S mode though, so if you DO get this laptop (the S mode variant) please do make sure to do that.
I would like to say good review. However, the subject of performance was totally skipped, and spent way too much time talking about the Office 365 promo which has nothing to do with the laptop specifically.
Did u install a anti virus and if so which one u use? It is good to do college homework downloading pdf, excel, google all that stuff? Hows the camera quality?
@@Makizni this is a new account but still me, I don't think I ever installed an antivirus the camera quality was good when I first got it but when I last used it was a bit grainy
As someone who has had plenty of laptops over the past few decades it is sad when a reviewer has to fake excitement over being given only a couple of ports! I know that laptops are supposed to be more advanced now, but compared to what was offered in the past it feels like we lost a lot. The only real good thing he can say about this laptop is the year subscription for Office, and that is something that is offered with almost any computer. "All the apps are from the Microsoft store," means Microsoft is being stingy and we have to pay for anything we need. If it is trusted and verified it would have been already on the laptop and we would not have to buy it. It is also proven that the stuff in Microsoft store is not always safe, as many of the things on there are third party and people had plenty of issues with them in the past. Thank you for the helpful review. I was considering buying this because it was within my budget, but after this review I can see it is totally not worth it. I can understand you were given a lemon that you needed to try to hype up, but you kind of over did it with the sarcasm.
Same, I am expecting my laptop to arrive later today. I got it in one of my favorite colors. Rose gold i am excited about it. I would love to know your initial impressions of the laptop. Would you recommend this particular model to others? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. 😊
It’s slow bc the processor is only a intel Celeron tbh that’s on you should have looked at specs before buying it’s a budget laptop for students for a reason if you want speed pay attention to what processor your buying before buying it this laptop is built for long battery and handling light tasks givin it’s budget processor
@dreamy-topic9857 Wrong, Celerons are more than capable of multi tasking and supporting day to day use. The issue with this model is the storage -- its eMMC, soldered on to the board, and not upgradable. Your only upgrade option is direct storage space though an SD card which is essentially all eMMC is. Also, if you're looking for battery life, a Celeron is not how you get it when comparing performance. If you want to go that route you'll be wanting a U-series Intel or a Ryzen 5 7520C, Ryzen 3 7320C, Athlon Gold 7220C and Athlon Silver 7120C series CPU. If you're a student or entry level business, this laptop is more than enough to multi task spreadsheets and the like, but if you're looking for 'instant click satisfaction' for launching apps, then yes, I would consider it slow, but not for the reason you stated.
I just got a college grant for this computer today, is it a great laptop for programming say if making video games? or animating, would this be a good product for those things?

This is a cheap laptop with no room to upgrade anything but ram. No NVMe drive no ssd drive it’s all flash/ eMMC memory. After a few years it becomes sluggish and super slow even loading the task manager becomes a drag if you’re looking at this review in 2024 please look for a different pc. Unless you are getting this laptop for free or in need some of one desperately for under $200 I would stay away. Only thing it has going for it is the battery life but after a while it will take you hours to get anything done on it so I guess you’ll need it. 3/10
I just bought this laptop for college. Ain't going to lie, I've only had it for around two days and it does everything I need it to do. It's fast and fits all of my needs. @@sanandreas818 hard to say because it works right now but after some time it will slow down significantly.
