These are the types of laptops you need to STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM! I have gone through several of these cheaper celeron machines, and they are absolutely nasty to use. They struggle performing the most simple of tasks. Even linux won't save these machines. What I recommend you do instead is buy a used i5 or i7 machine with 8gb ram for a similar price, they will be infinity times better for the average user. Another thing is that these computers are designed to be disposable, all the parts (including the "ssd" which is actually just a microsd card soldered down) are soldered down and cannot be replaced easily, so if something goes wrong the entire computer is done for.
Hi. I know this reply is quite late. It does not allow you to download Chrome because this computer is running on Windows 11 in S Mode. You can turn S Mode off by going to your computer's settings, or by going to Microsoft Store. Yes, Microsoft Store, but no worries! Rest assured, the deactivation of S Mode is completely free.

Chances are your daughter may need to use an external drive or a flash drive for her personal files once Microsoft Office has been installed, or she can use Microsoft Office or Google Office Suite via Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. For sure, it's not as convenient as having the office suite on your desktop, but it gets the job done.
I have this computer. One detail left out is all of its surfaces are smooth making it much easier to clean. Unlike the black and blue versions where they have this sort of textured surface that traps bacteria. I know because I also have the black version and because of the texturing it gets very dirty.

Problem only begins when you want to run other things (anything) that usually also requires more RAM capacity. So yes this laptop will function for light browsing, watching videos, movies, shows. However it will not be as good if youre trying to multitask or running programs that require more storage and RAM like Video / photo Editing, Running graphics in documents like many graphs or a lot or amount of data stored. Maybe it will get it done but it wont be the most pleasant experience doing it so. Product is not bad... just make sure it fits your needs. I would also generally recommend going for a 8GB RAM for any machine running on windows... As for basic tasks/browsing a chromebook would be a better alternative since ChromeOS is less demanding compared to those with windows and itll run smoothly with 4GB RAM.
I have the same thing but lenovo brand celron 4500, 4gb ram, 64gb ssd. The guy at best buy said that I should not buy this model and was trying to sell me something much more expensive but my needs are basic so I bought this one. Overall it works fine for everything I need a computer for I have had it for 6 months now

I finally gave up on Windows 11 and installed Ubuntu LTS pro version good till 2024 and its usable again with that installed all I really use it for is youtube, email, banking and shopping and I play kpatience game that's about it

No, these will run even the most lightweight games with lag. The only I've tested two games that would work are Sonic adventure (25 year old game) and Among us (Sprite based)
Get something with at least 8 gigs of ram and a better processor. This is the kind of laptop that you give to a little kid to watch youtube. It will probably freeze if you have too many chrome tabs open, let alone do any work on it

You should do an update on its performance, on the one I got it’s pretty bad & it’s brand new 😂 slow, freezes a lot when running UA-cam only .
