Really gives an extra appreciation for the toughness of both car and driver required to compete at this level. Can't imagine how punishing a double stint must be!
Thanks for the 1st person pov Mike! You can really see how bumpy Sebring really is. Those AMGs must be built like tanks (as well as the drivers) to take that abuse over hours and hours! It looked like a good session for you. Also I think I saw you hit 245 a couple times!
Do you find the rear view camera at dash height better or is just below the top of the windshield still a better location? I like above the dash...less eye movement.
Doesn’t really matter to me, kind of the only option to keep the normal mirror. Good to have the mirror as backup if the camera fails and a lot of times we use the mirror anyway.
Hey Mike! Awesome video! I’m curious - how many engines does the team go through in a typical IMSA season? I’d imagine Daytona and Sebring alone require quite a few track hours between the roar, races and other testing like this.

Now this is proper onboard. I love to see driver inputs
Only 10 minutes? This is like cowbell - I need MORE!!! 😂 Please upload the rest of your footage.
Unfortunately, this tiny camera only has enough battery or heat tolerance for 10 minutes.
@@MikeSkeenRacing Well, thank you for uploading what you could then. 🙂 Loved it.
most entertaining onboard I've seen in a while. Loving the eye pov
Great driving, thanks for sharing! The sound of that merc is so therapeutic

Very therapeutic. Thank you for the footage!
Been keeping up with your career, pretty cool to see you racing in IMSA. 👋 from stonebridge
Thanks for following along!
Fantastic onboard Mike!
You guys brake so much deeper into the corners around Sebring than I can in Sim.

Looks like the track has jaundice.
That would be the required yellow headlights for GTD.
156mph into T17 brake zone. Pretty good.😎
How did you start your racing career? Karting or otherwise?
Yeah, did some local karting and then built a car for NASA racing
Beautiful 🥰. Thank you so much.
pretty fast driving
insane video
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!!

Because most of the GT3 cars run a standard road car engine (usually detuned), they are very reliable. Most of them can go the entire season.
Are y’all racing today? Sorry I’m not up with the schedule
What lap time are you getting? Track temp?
I don’t recall specifically. We did 59s that night. Around 70F
@@MikeSkeenRacing ok thanks
ESPECTACULAR !
Wow amazing!! Is this the amg gt3 or the amg gt3 evo?
Evo
Thank you! I will try to replicate your moves on the simulator :D
Fastest lap was a 2.01.07?
What camera did you used for this? Great video!
