I found a side note for mauga v mauge cage fights back during the test period. When two maugas ult close to each other you get bound to the enem ultimate. This is worth mentioning because if the enemy ults first, you can move to one side of the cage and drop your ult. Then you can move to the opposite side and you will be outside your own shield able to shoot in. The enemy will also be able to step outside their shield to use it as cover. HOWEVER the ult used first will disappear first meaning you are outside the cage fight shooting into your own cage for a time. Not sure how practical it will be in competitive but if the enemy mauga is unaware it will definitely be a nasty surprise.
Also another thing I found. If you mei wall mauga up as he ults. The chains are very inconsistent with attaching due to the high limit, allowing people to walk out under the cage. Similar to walling rein on shatter, hard to pull off but not impossible.
other symmetra question, do her turrets hit people inside the shield while its active? does the shield stop the turrets from damaging outside in/vice versa? do the turrets attack the shield?
@@leogriffith6196 when orisa moves she is literally same as mauga, that is my point. Unstopable force is like reaper wraith form or smthn and probably much smaller in scale, that way you can go through atoms and whatnot yet that is still not unstoppable. Ssooo small in scale like an electron maybe with quantum tunneling you could phase through stuff(not consistent). Dunno man unstoppable object is a bold claim hard to explain let alone simulate.

@@Ross516yes, and it's one of the only way to crit her while she's golden (Sombra hack then virus is another.) I also found out he can crit Torb's turret, and I imagine other deployables like junk trap/mine and Sym turrets as well if it wasn't for the fact they usually get broken before getting set on fire
Important thing to note, if Mauga gets pulled out of his ult by wifeleaver, he won't have his infinite ammo outside the cage. You can get the infinite ammo back but you have to re enter the cage
I would’ve liked to have seen a ult analysis of reaper with cage fight. Like how long it takes theoretically for his ult to break cage, if he can use it at all, or what the combo would look like together
I think torb ult and cage fight might be better since Torb should be able to cover the entire floor with it and the only way anyone will survive torb ult in the cage is Zen ult or immortality field since even fliers won’t be able to escape it
Wow, another video covering all the heroes in OW2. ...except Symmetra. Is she just that forgettable? On the last Mythbusters on this hero I watched, her teleporter was one of the only ways to escape this ultimate, for her and her team.
@@dyamonde9555 He didn't test if Sigma can ult outside the cage and then enter it to see if it's stopped. Most of his Mythbusters skip over a handful of interactions while also testing the most logical and obvious interactions there are.
I really like the idea of the enemy Ram ulting, Mauga using his ult to trap the Ram, and the Mauga’s LifeWeaver pulls him out to get Ram’s ult timer to run down

I hope you can reupload this with symmetra or edit in little things about her interactions. I wondered if you could stick turrets in the cage or not from inside or outside? Can you use teleporter from outside as well as inside? Does her ultimate go through the ultimate too to provide shield for allies?
Cage fight is affectively a barrier, so if turrets go through barriers (idk tbh) then they will here, tp can be used in or out (people tested in his test) and sym shield will go through and cross over his cage fight
Orisa is just a stupid design. I've said that since ow1 and she's even more annoying. Sort of like old Mei but in reverse. Different flavor of, you can't do anything.
@@--Glory--I mean... People's problem with her is that she's the most boring and one dimensional tank in the game. nothing about her kit is interesting or fun or leads to insane plays. Her kit isn't good overall but it specializes in shutting down the three most fun tanks in the game. With her damage buffed, it essentially takes Rein/Ball/Doom out of the meta instantly.
So, I have a few additional questions. Does Ash Coach gun fall into the “damage ability” category that can be used inside Mauga cage (like junk mine or bastion grenade)? Will Pharah stay in the air when ulting in Mauga ult or does she get pulled down? Does sigma ult get disabled like JQ ult or can you just not fly but still use it if you’re inside a Mauga ult like with Illary?
Rein's charge is objectively worse. It affects one enemy at best(pls Blizzard, fix it to make it more reliable to use), stops as soon as Rein can't move directly forward, and still doesn't really deal that much damage. Rein should be at least sleep and hook immune when charging
I'd love to see the double cage done again but at the edge of it so it's more of a venn diagram (I'm guessing the people in both cages with be stuck in that overlapping area, while people only stuck in one are safe from the other unless crossed)
This was my thought as well. Might be a good Mauga v Mauga counterplay. If they ult first, you may be able to trap them in the intersection while you can move more freely.
I feel like moira and reaper should be allowed to use fade while inside the ult to mitigate dmg to themselves for a second or two but still be trapped inside the dome
Mauga does NOT look fun to play against ngl. I’m pretty new to the game still and I’m just not seeing almost any counterplay to this ult based on this, no counterplay to Overrun either, and with my characters getting nerfed this patch, idk how fun the next couple weeks are going to be. Conceptually this kit was hilarious on reveal/during the test period, but now on release he’s looking way too good to me. Edit after the first day: this character is so incredibly unfun to deal with, this is going to be a miserable season. He feels super overtuned with zero practical counterplay.
His unstoppable shouldn't be a problem, but torb ult in cage fight can be good, emp and whole hog delete (or quickly destroy) the barrier, bastion on the outside can destroy it quickly fairly safely
@@dyamonde9555 my aim sucks and I can’t play hitscan to save my life so Ana is completely out, Kiri has felt pretty ass into him, and on the hitscan note I can’t play Sombra either. None of the tanks feel really good into him so I’m kinda left with only the option of either sucking up a bad matchup or learning characters I’m fundamentally terrible at.
If I remember well, the only other thing in the game that gives the "trapped" status (which is what cage fight gives, not "hindered") is Junk's trap, and it works the same for Ball : it does not get him out of ball form, but if he does get out of it, he can't go back to ball form
Does torb ult count as being on fire? If so can mauga crit the people on fire with torn ult? Obviously most character would just insta die sitting on torb ult, but it would still be fun to test it in a hypothetical way.
Glad they fixed Lifeweaver for this ult, when Mauga had his free days I couldn’t play LW because grip would NOT pull someone through the cage, if you pulled someone they would Gmod ragdoll on the wall of the cage and then plop back down, glad LW is actually useable as a counter for this now
Does Sigma's Ultimate get cancelled/disabled when he enters Cage Fight? It technically is a movement ability since you're able to manoeuvre horizontally and vertically in the duration of the ult. If it doesn't get disabled, is it possible to fly out of Cage Fight?
not sure if it'll get disabled completely or you'll just be stuck to the ground, but it'll definitely not be possible to fly out, cause you'll be chained, and the chain wont break.
If you put the paddle platform on the edge of a cliff, go up with Mauga, then place the ult on the edge so it is above the chasm. When the platform gets destroyed and the ult falls into the chasm, will it take all chained targets with it? I could see that being used that on well.
I really dislike the part of his ult that stops already in motion movement abilities, it feels like if someone is willingly diving into the ult to save a teammate they shouldn't have their already in motion ability canceled locking them out after is fine but it feels like the only way to actually deal with his ult is just do damage to the wall which is a little boring Imo.
@@Daddix0that’s bc she is one of the most played tanks in every rank and in gm, ppl just play hard counters and can properly play those counters/know how to play around her. It’s kinda like if you played 10 games, had 10 really good games wth a 10 kd or play 100 games and had good/bad games evening it out at a 2 kd, more games played means the stats generally favor the bad games over the really good ones. Win rates don’t really mean much unless you only take that stat from equal tank games played, not total games played per tank. Most ppl also don’t know how to efficiently use orisa abilities but the character is extremely annoying, but it’s not really op (you shouldn’t really play rein into orisa just like you shouldn’t play rein into doom/ball, there’s just better tanks to play against it). I think ppl just don’t like the tank counter style gameplay of overwatch 2 and orisa is just generally what ppl will swap to if they are against anything besides zarya/sig.

For the Ana grenade, the grenade also heals you. I am just using the onscreen timer, but it was about 0.40 seconds to get to Ana levels of health? So 2.20 versus 2.25 meaning the Ana grenade was slower by the experiment? Though for some reason, it took near a entire second for the Hog in the first round to catch fire, but only 0.40 seconds for the Biotic grenade, so by all accounts should also have been faster given more crits were gained?
Ok, hear me out for a team comp idea. Mauga, Ashe, Junk, Brig, and Illari, you now have a multitude of ult combo’s and an ability combo, along with Mauga’s cardiac and Brig’s AOE for sustain and Illari for general support. Can’t wait to test this comp out
Bap/lucio is still the best support for mauga, maybe kiriko. But dps is your typical brawl dps, Mei, reaper, cass, bastion. Sojourn is also most likely going to be very good if it’s a mauga mirror since mauga is tanky like roadhog and you can farm rails on him.
@@phillywilly246 I would argue Kiri is a LOT better than Lucio in 90% of teams, very few people in qp or metal ranks play Lucio properly with the team well, and mauga doesn't need the speed quite as much as someone like rein, he has range, a short CD mobility Cooldown, and suzu is too good (Ana can be good too, he's a great nano candidate)

I know stupid question,but i will say it : emongg showed us a stationary cage, what about a moving cage? Meaning, what if Mauga uses his ultimate while on a payload or an NPC car? Will the cage stay in place or move with the payload/car?
I love that Mauga can crit on people who were hit with Ashe's dynamite. It would've felt so off otherwise, like "oh that fire doesn't procc crits, now THIS fire on the other hand..." Also I'm so happy Junkrat can still use his mines to bounce around in the cagefight. DEVS PLS DON'T REMOVE IT 🐀🧨
Yeah, I wonder if other abilities that launch the player when you use it on yourself (Soldier's rockets, Zaryas secondary fire) can be used for movement inside of the cagematch
something im wondering with a mauga / echo interaction while in the SAME team : if the echo dupe an enemy mauga & use the cage, does the mauga in the same team as echo get chained thinking it's his ult ? ( i think it did before )
A question to Reaper: When Reaper used his teleport first/before and THEN while teleporting he gets ulted does it cancel his teleport or will it go through?
Torb and Ashe with Mauga seems like the go to that seems fun and probably my fav new comp combo. Now we just need to find the perfect supports for him. I think it’s Kiriko and Bap.
i hate this hero, and i hate all cc abilitys especially all "hindered" abilities. now they add a hero who can put his damn cage on point and all of the heroes who rely on movement are pretty mutch dead. and doomfist is doomed, becaus he cant do shit without his movement
Doom not being able to cancel Mauga’s charge doesn’t feel very fair, as it makes it so my entire backline is free game for him if he so chooses, not a lot of ways to play against him as Doom. :
You can get out of cage fight with petal platform but you must have a significant elevation advantage on where the cage fight barrier was placed (think rialto first point high ground vs low ground for elevation)
I couldn't find it, but I think two Mauga's running into each other with Overrun stun each other like Rein Charge trade. Another interesting interaction with the mirror matchup is if enemy Mauga traps you in cage fight first and you set cage fight second, your movement is only tethered to their cage for its duration, meaning you aren't 'retethered' to your cage. So while you're still limited to their cage, you can walk out of yours. It's not like a venn diagram where you are trapped in the shared space, the first cage tether has priority over the second cage.
Breaks ultimate: Sombra EMP Gets out of ultimate: Orisa fortify, Sym TP Gets teammate out of ultimate: Lifeweaver Grip, Sym TP Stops from being chained: Tracer Blink, Moira Fade
No. Terrain will block the chain, but if you walk into LoS of the anchor it will immidiately chain you, and you stay chained even if you walk back into sight-cover.

Why do people hate Orisa so much. She is so easy to play around. As a casual and occasional DPS player (low masters), she makes my life easier than several other tanks when played well.
10:50 try that again when it's just Mauga using the 3 Roadhog's in the back, gives Cassidy multiple shots to damage through the barrier but Deadeye on it's own shouldn't be able to break Barrier as far as I can tell maybe if you had 1 other team mate in the barrier, the first shot would break, and then whoever was further left in Cassidy's vision would die, but the barrier still BLOCKS the first shot

Seems like there's some bugs related to multiple Maugas, as depicted by Echo. You're supposed to be chained to your ult, but the chain disappears when an enemy Mauga ults. I've got a few questions: 1. Does Mauga ult disrupt/prevent Mauga Overrun (Mauga A ults, Mauga B charges through it)? 2. Can Mauga regain infinite ammo by re-entering his ult area after being pulled out by Lifeweaver? 3. Does Mauga gain infinite ammo when chained to an enemy Mauga ult? 4. After ulting while being copied by Echo, if Echo were to ult outside just far enough to trap Mauga, which chain impedes his movement? Is it his own (other chain means nothing, can leave), Echo's (his own chain means nothing, can leave), or both (pinned in place until one ult ends)?

That’s so crazy!” Preemptive responses: - You can blink through cage because blink is a teleport from A to B, where both A and B are outside the cage - Moira is classed as intangible during fade, meaning she cannot be affected by anything in the game whatsoever - Junkrat mine is not a traditional movement ability, it is a damage ability with self knockback - The cage acts like a barrier, so barrier rules apply, why are you trying to wall ride it? You can’t wall ride a sigma barrier
Worth noting that his Ult can be placed on Mei wall the same way it can on petal platform, and will also fall the same way too. I’ve seen some funny tiktok clips using this…
I think that every Mauga mythbusters i have seen excluding specific points of interest like, Mei Wall, Sym Teleport, Lifeweaver Pull, etc is very pointless. Its just a barrier that hinders everyone within a radius, everything hinder stops, this stops, everything a barrier blocks/doesn't block, this follows that too. Easy peasy
What happens when you have a a delayed teleport or temporary invulnerability? The example is Reaper initiated tp but then you Cage Fight him. Same with Sombra’s translocator. What about suzu’d enemies? Can they escape the ult during 0.5s of invulnerability? What about rezzed enemies?
There really seems to be quite a bit of favoritism in Mauga's design. It baffles me that a lot of abilities not only cant be used to escape/evade, but just NOT be used AT ALL. Just wild. Still really early, I'm sure more changes are to come.
I find 2 things stupid. 1. Mauga's charge is disabled in his ult, because? 2. Zarya's bubble provides CC immunity to most things and depending on circumstances, but being unable to break the chain is just illogical and inconsistent.
to sumarize: only object damage based movement can be used while in the cage (pharas E, junks mine), no other movement can be used the only cleanse/cc imune effect that works to get out of the cage is orisas fortify (who wouldve thought huh?) maugas charge basically is unstopabble, at most he can be displaced by, you guessed, orisas fortify for most other skills in the game maugas ult works as any other barrier would, just like symetras ult as some "weird" interactions, sym can tp in/out ult, lw can pull you or enemies out of it

fun fact: reaper and mauga's lifesteal ability stack when used so if you're reaper with 35% lifesteal and mauga now activates his ability with his 70% life steal you'll get 105% life steal or you'll get 100% life steal if it caps at 100%
I’m hoping Mauga can answer the Orisa problem with his buffs, but idk, when playing as him during the free weekend, I found that when facing Orisa, it really was a coin toss, usually it was whoever saw the other first, even with healers, I think I had a mercy helping me, and a mercy helping the Orisa, and if I shot Orisa first and got some decent damage in even without abilities, I usually won, if Orisa shot me first or used her javalin throw first, she would win, rarely would it be that I would win if she shot me first and or used the abilities and the other way around But one thing I am really excited for, weirdly enough, is how Mauga will be in games like No limits, open queue, and Total mayhem, open queue can be fun, since he can work very well with other tanks, especially with his ultimate, Rammatra, Orisa, Sigma, Hammond, Dva, all of them have high damage ultimates that can almost immediately kill any characters stuck in cage fight, and in total mayhem, Mauga will most likely be as unstoppable as like Hammond and Doomfist, his self and team healing, huge health, will make him hard to kill, plus he can just put his cage fight on the payload or point and no one will want to join the fight, and anyone caught in it will take a crap ton of damage with his infinite ammo, at that point if you see two Mauga’s, in total mayhem, hope you have a god Ana with her anti, and an Orisa who can hit her javalins And disrupt his flow
You missed a few; Can Cass nade stop charge? How fast can Bastion destroy cage? Can Mauga survive Bastions full turret form with his cardiac overdrive buff? Just as a few
can you imagine how much work it is to code that one ultimate? So many freaking edge cases to worry about and then what you don't see is how two edges might combine. What about three. For every hero they add they have to do so much more testing. As a programmer I can hear the groans when mgt says, we are adding ANOTHER character.... The team does a really good job I cannot imagine how shitty it must be.

Mauga is stoppable, with a wall. I think of him more like a moving unmovable object lol as in you cant move him out of his movement.

So, I have a few additional questions. Does Ash Coach gun fall into the “damage ability” category that can be used inside Mauga cage (like junk mine or bastion grenade)? Will Pharah stay in the air when ulting in Mauga ult or does she get pulled down? Does sigma ult get disabled like JQ ult or can you just not fly but still use it if you’re inside a Mauga ult like with Illary?

Rein's charge is objectively worse. It affects one enemy at best(pls Blizzard, fix it to make it more reliable to use), stops as soon as Rein can't move directly forward, and still doesn't really deal that much damage.

This was my thought as well. Might be a good Mauga v Mauga counterplay. If they ult first, you may be able to trap them in the intersection while you can move more freely.

Mauga does NOT look fun to play against ngl. I’m pretty new to the game still and I’m just not seeing almost any counterplay to this ult based on this, no counterplay to Overrun either, and with my characters getting nerfed this patch, idk how fun the next couple weeks are going to be. Conceptually this kit was hilarious on reveal/during the test period, but now on release he’s looking way too good to me.
Edit after the first day: this character is so incredibly unfun to deal with, this is going to be a miserable season. He feels super overtuned with zero practical counterplay.
His unstoppable shouldn't be a problem, but torb ult in cage fight can be good, emp and whole hog delete (or quickly destroy) the barrier, bastion on the outside can destroy it quickly fairly safely

If I remember well, the only other thing in the game that gives the "trapped" status (which is what cage fight gives, not "hindered") is Junk's trap, and it works the same for Ball : it does not get him out of ball form, but if he does get out of it, he can't go back to ball form

Glad they fixed Lifeweaver for this ult, when Mauga had his free days I couldn’t play LW because grip would NOT pull someone through the cage, if you pulled someone they would Gmod ragdoll on the wall of the cage and then plop back down, glad LW is actually useable as a counter for this now

Does Sigma's Ultimate get cancelled/disabled when he enters Cage Fight? It technically is a movement ability since you're able to manoeuvre horizontally and vertically in the duration of the ult. If it doesn't get disabled, is it possible to fly out of Cage Fight?

If you put the paddle platform on the edge of a cliff, go up with Mauga, then place the ult on the edge so it is above the chasm. When the platform gets destroyed and the ult falls into the chasm, will it take all chained targets with it? I could see that being used that on well.
Can do same (sometimes easier) with mei, and yes it drags people down with it very quickly

I really dislike the part of his ult that stops already in motion movement abilities, it feels like if someone is willingly diving into the ult to save a teammate they shouldn't have their already in motion ability canceled locking them out after is fine but it feels like the only way to actually deal with his ult is just do damage to the wall which is a little boring Imo.

@@Daddix0that’s bc she is one of the most played tanks in every rank and in gm, ppl just play hard counters and can properly play those counters/know how to play around her. It’s kinda like if you played 10 games, had 10 really good games wth a 10 kd or play 100 games and had good/bad games evening it out at a 2 kd, more games played means the stats generally favor the bad games over the really good ones. Win rates don’t really mean much unless you only take that stat from equal tank games played, not total games played per tank. Most ppl also don’t know how to efficiently use orisa abilities but the character is extremely annoying, but it’s not really op (you shouldn’t really play rein into orisa just like you shouldn’t play rein into doom/ball, there’s just better tanks to play against it). I think ppl just don’t like the tank counter style gameplay of overwatch 2 and orisa is just generally what ppl will swap to if they are against anything besides zarya/sig.

I am just using the onscreen timer, but it was about 0.40 seconds to get to Ana levels of health? So 2.20 versus 2.25 meaning the Ana grenade was slower by the experiment?
Though for some reason, it took near a entire second for the Hog in the first round to catch fire, but only 0.40 seconds for the Biotic grenade, so by all accounts should also have been faster given more crits were gained?
Ok, hear me out for a team comp idea. Mauga, Ashe, Junk, Brig, and Illari, you now have a multitude of ult combo’s and an ability combo, along with Mauga’s cardiac and Brig’s AOE for sustain and Illari for general support. Can’t wait to test this comp out
Mei/reaper would be good with this too, both their ults are crazy with cage fight
Bap/lucio is still the best support for mauga, maybe kiriko. But dps is your typical brawl dps, Mei, reaper, cass, bastion. Sojourn is also most likely going to be very good if it’s a mauga mirror since mauga is tanky like roadhog and you can farm rails on him.
@@phillywilly246 I would argue Kiri is a LOT better than Lucio in 90% of teams, very few people in qp or metal ranks play Lucio properly with the team well, and mauga doesn't need the speed quite as much as someone like rein, he has range, a short CD mobility Cooldown, and suzu is too good

You can get out of cage fight with petal platform but you must have a significant elevation advantage on where the cage fight barrier was placed (think rialto first point high ground vs low ground for elevation)
I couldn't find it, but I think two Mauga's running into each other with Overrun stun each other like Rein Charge trade.
Another interesting interaction with the mirror matchup is if enemy Mauga traps you in cage fight first and you set cage fight second, your movement is only tethered to their cage for its duration, meaning you aren't 'retethered' to your cage. So while you're still limited to their cage, you can walk out of yours. It's not like a venn diagram where you are trapped in the shared space, the first cage tether has priority over the second cage.
It should be noted that the Cage Fight canceled Winston's Slam before he lands, so no damage.
Breaks ultimate: Sombra EMP
Gets out of ultimate: Orisa fortify, Sym TP
Gets teammate out of ultimate: Lifeweaver Grip, Sym TP

Anything with enough damage breaks the ultimate. It's just a 1000 HP Barrier. EMP is just very good at it since EMP just deletes all Barriers.

No. Terrain will block the chain, but if you walk into LoS of the anchor it will immidiately chain you, and you stay chained even if you walk back into sight-cover.

Mauga requires a kiriko if there is an enemy ana, he also works well with a bastion ult because he can trap the whole team for bastion to delete

Seems like there's some bugs related to multiple Maugas, as depicted by Echo. You're supposed to be chained to your ult, but the chain disappears when an enemy Mauga ults.
I've got a few questions:
1. Does Mauga ult disrupt/prevent Mauga Overrun (Mauga A ults, Mauga B charges through it)?
2. Can Mauga regain infinite ammo by re-entering his ult area after being pulled out by Lifeweaver?
3. Does Mauga gain infinite ammo when chained to an enemy Mauga ult?
4. After ulting while being copied by Echo, if Echo were to ult outside just far enough to trap Mauga, which chain impedes his movement? Is it his own (other chain means nothing, can leave), Echo's (his own chain means nothing, can leave), or both (pinned in place until one ult ends)?

- You can blink through cage because blink is a teleport from A to B, where both A and B are outside the cage
- Moira is classed as intangible during fade, meaning she cannot be affected by anything in the game whatsoever
- Junkrat mine is not a traditional movement ability, it is a damage ability with self knockback
- The cage acts like a barrier, so barrier rules apply, why are you trying to wall ride it? You can’t wall ride a sigma barrier
Worth noting that his Ult can be placed on Mei wall the same way it can on petal platform, and will also fall the same way too. I’ve seen some funny tiktok clips using this…
I think that every Mauga mythbusters i have seen excluding specific points of interest like, Mei Wall, Sym Teleport, Lifeweaver Pull, etc is very pointless.
Its just a barrier that hinders everyone within a radius, everything hinder stops, this stops, everything a barrier blocks/doesn't block, this follows that too. Easy peasy
What happens when you have a a delayed teleport or temporary invulnerability?
The example is Reaper initiated tp but then you Cage Fight him. Same with Sombra’s translocator.
What about suzu’d enemies? Can they escape the ult during 0.5s of invulnerability? What about rezzed enemies?

There really seems to be quite a bit of favoritism in Mauga's design. It baffles me that a lot of abilities not only cant be used to escape/evade, but just NOT be used AT ALL. Just wild. Still really early, I'm sure more changes are to come.
I find 2 things stupid.
1. Mauga's charge is disabled in his ult, because?
2. Zarya's bubble provides CC immunity to most things and depending on circumstances, but being unable to break the chain is just illogical and inconsistent.
to sumarize:
only object damage based movement can be used while in the cage (pharas E, junks mine), no other movement can be used
the only cleanse/cc imune effect that works to get out of the cage is orisas fortify (who wouldve thought huh?)
maugas charge basically is unstopabble, at most he can be displaced by, you guessed, orisas fortify
for most other skills in the game maugas ult works as any other barrier would, just like symetras ult
as some "weird" interactions, sym can tp in/out ult, lw can pull you or enemies out of it

fun fact: reaper and mauga's lifesteal ability stack when used so if you're reaper with 35% lifesteal and mauga now activates his ability with his 70% life steal you'll get 105% life steal or you'll get 100% life steal if it caps at 100%
I’m hoping Mauga can answer the Orisa problem with his buffs, but idk, when playing as him during the free weekend, I found that when facing Orisa, it really was a coin toss, usually it was whoever saw the other first, even with healers, I think I had a mercy helping me, and a mercy helping the Orisa, and if I shot Orisa first and got some decent damage in even without abilities, I usually won, if Orisa shot me first or used her javalin throw first, she would win, rarely would it be that I would win if she shot me first and or used the abilities and the other way around
But one thing I am really excited for, weirdly enough, is how Mauga will be in games like No limits, open queue, and Total mayhem, open queue can be fun, since he can work very well with other tanks, especially with his ultimate, Rammatra, Orisa, Sigma, Hammond, Dva, all of them have high damage ultimates that can almost immediately kill any characters stuck in cage fight, and in total mayhem, Mauga will most likely be as unstoppable as like Hammond and Doomfist, his self and team healing, huge health, will make him hard to kill, plus he can just put his cage fight on the payload or point and no one will want to join the fight, and anyone caught in it will take a crap ton of damage with his infinite ammo, at that point if you see two Mauga’s, in total mayhem, hope you have a god Ana with her anti, and an Orisa who can hit her javalins
