I run in the Hoka Challenger, which allows me to go out my front door; run and roads, jump onto some park trails and I haven't worn through either of my Challengers yet.

I had a pair of Carbon X 2 and I loved those shoes but I did notice the outsole wore down really fast. I ran those shoes until the outsole was completely gone and you could see the cushion underneath. If you know anything about the Carbon X model you know it has a very thin outsole (which is a shame). No dogging Hoka from me. I love their shoes. I currently have a pair of Speedgoat 5's and have noticed that the sole is also wearing very fast.

Longevity is a major concern for runner 200lb+ in hoka I had a pair of rincons that midsole went dead then outsole rubber was completely gone by 200km. I do like the carbon x2 though as the carbon plate gives the midsole some longevity but outsole is starting to really get eaten at the 300km mark

I sold away my novablast 2, nimbus 24 and only have Hoka shoes now. Clifton 8, mach 4&5, Rincon 3. I don't really care about longetivetigy of my running shoes, when they are done just buy another. My feet loves Hoka so much.

They are fantastic running shoes. My first half marathon was done in Clifton 6's. For me, they dont last, but I always say "go with what works best for you." Thank you for commenting!

do any shoes last? i like altras and they don't last either. i think shoe companies are fine with this, so you'll buy the next model

I have the Clifton 8s and kept getting hot spots/blisters until I replaced the insoles. They’re pretty good but I seem to get more comfortable long runs outta the Boston10 and Triumph 20 which both provide more energy return imo.

I really want to try the Triumph 20. I loved my old Triumph 17's. Thank you for commenting!

I think Hoka is overrated. They don't last and are good shoes, but rarely the best option. New Balance More line is what Hoka wishes it was. I've gotten well over 600 miles on all More shoes I've had and I'm 220 lbs running at decent pace.

i HATE the Hoka shoes that I bought. They throw me off balance. I even tripped and fell when I wore them initially. There's just too much shoe on the bottom and the sides. Totally unnecessary and actually dangerous
