great recipe, hayewa, do not use aluminum pot to make brine. stainless steel or other non-reactive material is essential. salt plus vinegar plus heat plus aluminum create off flavors....btw where's the dill?
Aluminium pot and plastic jar would spoil taste and make these unhealthy. Use stainless steal and then glass jar. I remember in USSR all pickles came in glass jars🤗
Thank you for sharing your recipe
How long does it keep
Wonderful recipe compared to others. Others too much stuff and all I want is a simple basic recipe of course with tomato’s.Thank you
Thank you, I forgot some steps for pickeling tomatoes. This helps. I will make them for my family, we all love pickled tomatoes.
This seems more a fermenting than a pickling process, but looks interesting none the less.
Thank you. You made hungry. Lol
Is this Russian because I was curious about the picked tomato in a video about Russian food and I would really love to try it.
Macy Bautista lol was it the buzzfeed video?
I never heard of this before. How do you eat them, chopped up and on toast?
Sunday 1 I would put them on burgers, salads, steak, etc... They do look good 👀🥗🍔
I eat them plain, cold, and with a savory meal. As you would eat a pickle with a meal.

Is this sweet?

That doesn’t seem like enough vinegar to me...
Russian style pickling of tomato pickling doesn't use as much vinegar as American style.
i love you
:))) thank you
