Isaac is a regular gym rat. In the next video "I attempted to power lift 1000" By Nick, he invites Isaac back to compete against him. Isaac nearly Deadlifts 500lbs in that video . This kid is very strong.
At a bodyweight of like 170-180, Dead lifting 500 lbs is almost 3x body weight. That's national USAPL standard for good Dead lift.
For reference, I competed in College and was considered to have an average dead lift for the 240lbs class. I was pulling 600 lbs or so in competition. that was only 2.5 times to 2.6 times bodyweight.
I've worked out with a world class deadlifter though. Ogden Mykedbust pulled over 700lbs at 220 bdwt in college. I watched him set the nationals record in 2009. The guy was an absolute beast.
He went on to go professional in the IPF and WPO organizations. He's pulled 400KG/ 881lbs in the 242 lbs class as a pro in 2017-18. His bench also improved a lot. He was doing 350lbs when I trained with him (I was at 400) He managed to raise it up over 500 lbs in the following years though. It's inspiring to see someone improve that much.

Fun with fitness is a great message, but having new and inexperienced performing maximal lifts without warming up seems fairly irresponsible. They do not know their own ability and attempting to lift a load that may be too much for them to handle could lead to injury. The $1 for every pound you benchpress is another example of this. Taking experienced lifters to test their 1 rep max like in the squat video where most of them recently trained and warmed up is so much safer. A serious injury from these types of videos could take the people you are trying to get into fitness completely away from the opportunity, leaving your efforts for nothing.
Please consider changing how you approach these videos. they make me not want to support you because of these types of videos.

@@mrteco4236 when they were using the two different grips at once, they could have torn a bicep
The mix grip is a legitimate option for lifting, it prevents the bar from rolling in your hands. Usually not recommended for newer lifters cause you could instinctually try to curl the bar with the under grip...the one I was really worried about was the guy that tried the double underhand grip...and the dude shooting the video didn't say shit to him.

My only exercise is group exercise classes at the gym where we use 5-12 lb dumbbells at most. I tried to use a barbell to test how much I could actually deadlift because even for those who don't exercise, this tiny amount of weight just don't cut it for a deadlift. As it turns out, my grip strength is horrible and gives out well before the target muscles for the deadlift even feel like they're getting any exercise. So my max dead lift ends up just being the max amount of weight I can hold onto.

Flat shoes don't *negatively* impact your lift though, just saying.
Flat shoes are ideal...the issue would be if they are soft soled, which saps a bunch of your power. A lot of people even prefer to lift barefoot for both squat and deadlift

Having people off the street do heavy deadlifts with no warm-up seems like a bad idea.
because it is a bad idea
Yeah true I'd do the 400 but I'll ask for one warmup lift first
And not correcting their form, good way to catch a back or bicep injury.
The way he motivates and encourage people is appreciating 💯👍
Encourage to throw out their backs
@@beargrillsjr.co.4280 yeah lmao giving 200kg to deadlift to a newbie without belt nor warm up is like throwing punches in his lower back
@@cretrares3751 even 80kg could make some pain on their back if you don't know how to deadlift properly (happened to me and it's painful...)
@@Pablo-zk6ug exactly same when i started nearly broke my back with 60's cuz of bad form
Why I never encounter challenges like this on the streets. :D
Dude that's so cool those kids follow you and for a long time at that. Good to see these kind of videos
The "Can I make some unsuspecting kid have chronic back pain for the rest of his life?" Challenge.
For real, hopefully that first kid didn't get hurt by this

@@austinlincoln3414 you dumb? also stop saying that word. we both know you ain't it.
@@DawgFL "nigga" is a common word used by black people. chill
and 50 pounds isn't so risky
The bad form on the heavier weights was really concerning. Somebody could've gotten real hurt
"I will teach you how to deadlift" Proceeds to show worst form possible lol :D
Make sure the bar is in front of your feet and then pull up with your biceps and back.
That's important, because your biceps is so much stronger than your legs.
@@MrCmon113 lmao
Yea should have made them put their legs wider out
@@MrCmon113 your legs are way stronger what the actual fuck are you on 💀💀💀💀💀 Your legs literally hold up the entire mass of your body, pulling a deadlift w your biceps is just asking yo get your muscles torn open
You've inspired me to go out in front of anorexia/bulimia treatment centers and make videos paying people $1 for every pound they can lift. I don't have gum to sell; just plain old drugs. Got to start somewhere.
