Let's just admit that most of us thought that Nick would pay runners 1$ for every meter they can run but on a normal track field, well that would be the most easy money ever which I would have ever heard of!
I think it wouldnt be much of a difference on an actual track. Im at around the same fitness level of Nick currently. Run a 2:10 800m & 53-55 400m. A 55 400m is 13.75 sec. per 100 meter. That means i would run around 210 meters in 30 sec.

The thing I love about these types of videos is anyone can get in on the fun. And you never know who might just get inspired to get back in shape because of their decision to do one of Nick's challenges. With so many unhealthy things in the world, it's great to see a channel dedicated to being healthy. Also, some of the people in these videos really surprise you. Someone who looks fit doesn't do so well, and then someone who looks rather unfit just crushes it!

This proves that those machines are more difficult to run on. You can run a 200 way faster than 30 seconds

@@xella5843 his first ever 200m (which was just about a year ago) was a 24. And he didn't even reach 200m on this machine in 30 seconds. For the purpose of comparison, yes, way faster.

Hey Nick, considering you could hit 200m splits to within a fraction of a second, what kind of resistance would you say the curve treadmill adds? In this instance it looked to me as if your 180m effort in 30s, would have translated to nearer 200m on the track - would you agree?
Try like 200+ his current 400m is like at 55 seconds that's more than 200m every 30s and thats twice in a row this was a sprint I'd say like 250ish or more

@@charlietian9843 I feel like I could have beaten nick I really wish he could have gotten someone a little more athletic to see if 200m is possible but I'd say the start is why it's hard to get 200m the treadmill is hard to get going unlike running on a track
@@aaronmullins7200 yeah it seems like extra resistance in general as well as weird to get used to it/start. so i think everyone could have ran faster on the track
They've done some studies on these treadmills. They reckon they're 30% harder than a motorised treadmill. I train on mine all the time, on the odd occasion I run outdoors it feels a lot easier.
