Depends is it store bought four corner bread? is it on a home made loaf? Is it on a bun? What kind of bun? This all changes the cutting or perhaps no cutting approach.
In the UK, it's not a sandwich unless it's made from bread sliced from a loaf 🥪 Anything on a roll/bun/bap/cob/batch/barm/baguette/wrap/flatbread or other bread product isn't called a sandwich.
I cut my sandwiches and hamburgers in quarters. My son laughs whenever he sees me do that. I find that it is less messy and easier to handle ❤😂 Especially if they are ginormous…and they usually are in most restaurants. #prissy #neatfreak
@@brainwrongbarf Classic half cut = from top of the loaf/bread slice to the bottom Diagonal cut = corner to corner Semi-Diagonal-cut = position your knife in the corner of the slice of bread as if to be cut diagonally. Then , slightly cant your cutting angle , until you are somewhere between the classic cut position and the diagonal cut position! :D P.S. you are invited to my humble abode for tea and sammiches :3
As if cutting it on a different direction will take you another 20 mins🤓. It’s a few seconds either way. OR, just eat it. I only cut sandwiches for small children and then it’s into 4 little squares.
Yes! These are the type of deep philosophical questions that have to be answered in Britain. Also, which way the loo roll goes, and whether you add milk before tea. The answers identify whether people are normal, or are dangerous psychopaths
The perfect first bite is the triangle tips and we all know it .
Because it fits perfectly too!
;)
Diagonal tastes better and I will die on this hill
100% agree
More bites without crust

You're so right! Also teh filling, grilled cheese is always triangles and pb and j and ham sandwiches are always straight across
I love that Angela has to think about it, because it's so automatic 😂
Depends what’s in the sandwich! Bacon or sausage is always straight
Prawn or something like a club or a BLT is diagonal
Depends on bread...usually diagonal, but rye bread always across!

I worked in a sandwich shop, and I was told to cut diagonal so that the sandwich is easier to bite and manage for the customer
I don't cut my sandwiches. I know but its bloody fab.
Angela: I do a diagonal, I think, yeah
Emma: She’s Angela Hartnett!
Angela: Yeah
Nick: Sorry, yeah. Michelin, I forgot
Angela: Yeah
I like a semi-diagonal cut that achieves benefits from both styles of cutting :)
This makes zero sense.
What is a semi diagonal cut?

@@ginandcreme I'm still confused. And thanks id love to come round for tea and sandwiches
Across in the week, diagonals at the weekend for a treat, same with toast
it all depends on the bread. I’m not cutting my hoagie in a diagonal
You guys cut your sandwiches?
A cross and Diagonal,is the same😊
Across = horizontal in the context of sandwiches
I don't cut my sandwiches. I eat the crust around the sandwich first and save the middle for last because its the best part
Why cut it at all? 😎😎
Is it crazy that I don’t cut my sandwiches at all?
Last week my mother cut her sandwich top and bottom. So wrong.
Nooooooo
Is your mum a serial killer?

Always diagonal
Who says across and diagonal?? It's rectangles or triangles...guys, come on...
Does it MATTER

I dont.
If you have s lot of time cut the crust off too
