It's easy to tear down the Nighthawk M1. You can see the 4 x internal LTE antenna ports and 2 x Wi-Fi antennas.
The screwdriver is Torx T5.

I was hoping that the modem was a pci express or M.2 socket so that an upgrade would be possible (probably not unless the firmware is upgraded as well)

I wonder if you could make an different housing to improve cooling and use external antenna to maximize performance, and what does the micro sd card do?

Are the internal antenna ports for testing only, or will they actually capture a frequency that the two external antennas will not?

Does anyone know if you can swap just the screen from another unit? Mine was broke in shipping. I'm not sure if the screen is somehow tied/bonded to the OE unit with software somehow?.....or would it be an easy swap and is just a a simple LCD unit? TIA...🙏🏽🙏🏽
