I live in the homeland of bourbon and an old fashioned requires an orange slice, sugar cube, and a cherry muddled. We like to use Makers Mark because it's a highly accessible bourbon.

Alex is bartending? Whoa. I bartend with two other bartenders and I send them both to your channel to learn how to tie different ties. Traditionally, you skip the sugar and muddle an orange and cherry. At our bar, one of our specialty drinks is the Chicago old fashioned: Koval Oat Whiskey, muddled orange, dash of bitters, garnish with orange zest. Simple and delicious.

Seems really pricy when you could go to a bar and get two for I would guess less than ten bucks, if old fashioneds are comparable in price to what I usually drink. Super cute, though, and there's definitely a bit of artistry in the packaging.
Well going to the bar is a whole different experience. I don't think this product is trying to say "hey don't go to the bar, do this instead." Though I agree it is pricey.
I will say you can't take an old fashioned from the bar home, so it really depends on whether or not you'd rather drink at home or at the bar. I live in a tiny studio apartment and enjoy the atmosphere of the nearby bar, so I think it's not targeted towards me. People with nice homes they'd rather drink in can afford to pay a premium for this sort of thing. Not to mention I live just down the street from that bar and can walk home after enjoying my drink, whereas nicer homes are more likely to require a drive, which you can't do if you're drunk on old fashioneds. The more I think about it the more I think it makes sense for a wealthier demographic, even if it's clearly not for me.
