You guys are super open-minded. Truly rare in modern times . People who have their own individual thought process. Amazing I love it, thank you, fellas.
Glad you reacted to this song; when this came out, my MOTHER was the bigger GNR fan than I 😂; she was in her late 40’s? at the time. True story: my youngest brother got married 2 years ago; my Mother didn’t know what song to dance to for the Mother-Son dance; I said Mom, it’s got to be “Sweet Child O Mine”; they did it, and they killed it; she was 76 at the time ❤❤❤
GnR brought back a little dirt in an era of hair spray and makeup. Saw them during the use your illusion tour, decent show, no rioting or anything but the real surprise was their opener. A little band called Soundgarden. Blew the absolute Roof off the Centrum. Tough act to follow.
I couldn’t understand what drew me to “Airplaybeats”. And gave me so much joy, while watching.I figured it out during their Led Zeppelin reactions. It’s a group effort. And the two gentlemen of the straw that stirs the drink. I have never seen so many smart and passionate responses on a UA-cam channel. We are all people who love music…are passionate about music. Without sounding, I suffer from hubris, I would say that this is an intellectual channel of smart people who love music .It gives us a chance to escape the nastiness that is going around in our society today. So I say this, “I love you, brothers.” Your channel is the most amazing thing on UA-cam. Blessings to both of you and to all the wonderful people with their smart and passionate reactions to the music. It’s smart, intelligent, passionate people enjoying themselves, listening to music and understanding its meaning. Aloha from Hawaii. Love you Braddahs.
Slash is so good, his guitar sound is so recognizable. His mom was a costume designer for some famous musical artists, including David Bowie. Slash remembers walking in on a 'personal moment' between them, lol.
This is one of those songs that you take for granted because you’ve heard it so many times, but what a great song. Definitely one of those bands where their debut album is their best. Killer LP.
This is such an iconic song. Slash is a wonderful guitarist. Takes me back to my 20s. What fun it was. Love what you are doing. Keep the good music coming🎵🎸🎶🎼✌️👍 Axel Rose is singing.
Yep. Swing was indeed the thing that set GnR apart from their hair metal contemporaries. Largely thanks to Adler. Or, perhaps, in spite of him? Apparently the band refused to let him use a double kick pedal for that very reason. Too bad he was such a drunkard he couldn't hold down the gig long term.. The band didn't sound quite as wonderfully sleazy once they kicked him out.
This is up there with the most technically talented albums out there. Top 5 singer, top 5 guitarist, also a great drummer and bass. All at their prime before they dove into heroin
Paradise City and the official video for it is such a great Guns N Roses song & video. Shows them rehearsing and performing and touring. The song is fire.
Awesome reaction! And yes, two guitars. Izzy Stradlin played rythm guitar and wrote, or cowrote, most of the songs on the album, Appetite for Destruction, and some songs in the album, Lose Your Illusion. The band was never the same when he left it.
Eddie Van Halen played the guitar solo on Michael Jackso's "Beat it" song. Slash played guitar on Michael Jackson's "Give it to Me" & intro on "Black or White" songs.
The first time I heard this song, I was in my workspace onboard the USS Midway floating around the Indian Ocean back in '87 or '88, can't remember specifically. But I remember thinking "Holy sh*t! Who the heck are these guys?!". Great song, and a great album all around.
Axel rose is from lafayette in..read a story in tge lafayette paper ,an interview with a 95 year old voice coach who worked with axel for many years..she said he had the most perfect voice qualities she had ever worked with..she didnt care for the direction he went but had mothing but praise for his vocal abilities.
It really is. Use Your Illusions 1&2 are as well. I played the hell out of them in 1991 or 92 or whenever! Others can comment on "The Chinese Democracy Spaggeti Incident" or whatever., lol, but those first three--solid like diamonds!
I completely agree. I was in high school when appetite for destruction came out and was actually into the alternative music scene at the time. But I could not deny this album was a masterpiece ….. still know every song by heart to this day!
I was a HS Senior in 87' when this album came out. With all the newer bands of the 80's being all techno and synth based it was refreshing to us true Rock and Roll fans. This song was their 1st release. You should check out the album in it's entirety. My favorite on the album may just be Rocket Queen. The change up in that song is just plain sic!
NEVER FORGET NEVER!! W. AXL ROSE.. NEVER FORGET!!! I think peeps forget he was probly the greatest lyricist of rock ever!! Nobody can put pen to paper like W. AXL ROSE, nobody
Axle Rose is lead singer for Guns-n-Roses and they are an Awesome band from the '80's and '90's. I have enjoyed their for a long time. Other singers and bands to react to, 1. Shannon - Let the music play, 2. Foreigner- I'm hot blooded, 3. Journey, - Don't stop Believin' to name a few.
Axl Rose said in an interview that Izzy Stradlin (the guitar player with the short hair and sunglasses) wrote the majority of the "riffs" on that first album. Every song is pretty catchy so, that's a pretty cool claim to fame.
Guns n Roses is in the upper echelon of American Rock Bands! This album is a classic / masterpiece. Slash (Guitarist) is considered a contemporary guitar God like Hendrix and Clapton; Axl Rose as you’ve said is a very unique voice too bad differences between them destroyed the group but, didn’t stop them from being inducted into the Rock hall of fame a few years ago. Their discography is still in play in my studio often.
Don Everly of the "Everly Brother's wrote this tune for daughter, Erin. 30 years later it would be in "Rock History" with GNR and Axl at the helm. I mention this only because, for years it was rumored "Erin" wrote the song. Strange world even in the music one. Great Reactions. Peace On Ya
Saw them Live back in the day and OMG the energy was crazy. Axl wasn't too wasted lol so it was a great show. We were all crushing on him at the time, incredibly talented band but he was definitely a troubled artist. This song is still on my Playlist, probably always will be. 🤘❤️🔥
This is the first cassette tape I ever personally owned. Got it for Christmas, whatever year, it came out. Appetite For Destructionlisten to this thing about a million times love it. Good stuff, fellas, great album God bless.
One of the best debut albums of all time. This was the big radio hit, you should check out the album closer Rocket Queen, for a deeper cut. At a time when mainsteam rock had become very soft they were a shot of hard reality.
Ah, I love Rocket Queen. I was in college in L.A. when this came out so we were partying to it a lot! Used to see the band members out and about at clubs, too. Those were the days!
Great reaction ! I remember when this album came out. It was so big at the time no other band could touch these guys. Slash's guitar playing with Axel's voice was just devastating together.
Quick correction: Eddie Van Halen was the guy who did the guitar solo on Beat It. Although never performed it alongside MJ live. Slash was on Give In to Me and Played live alongside. and I think played on Black or White.
I just watched your Traffic video, Low Spark of High Healed Boys. Welcome to the wonder world of Steve Winwood and his super group that featured Dave Mason as well. Try " 10,000 Headmen" if you dug Low Spark. These guys were English and a real part of the British explosion. Super musicians playing incredible music.
Y'all need to hear some new Slash. Slash and The Conspirators with Myles Kennedy singing is some of the greatest new rock and roll ever. Saw them live a year ago and they blew me away. I'm 67 now and have seen all the greats. They were FANTASTIC!!!
Please for the LOVE OF GOD do a complete review of GNR LIVE AT THE RITZ 87/88. This band was just about to break out and its the best show they ever PLAYED.
Unfortunately, MTV cut the "heaviest" (as the singer called it) part of the song at 3:45, a sort of micro-solo that bleeds emotion. The singer is W. Axl Rose ("W.A.R.," see), and yes, apart from, hey I'ma call it as a straight male here, having the beauty of a Rock Star, has the talent and pipes of a great vocalist as well. AND the lyrics. And then Slash and the boys, I mean come on--one of the Greatest Ev-ah! "The Garden" is mind-blowingly good. "Mr. Brownstone." "Paradise City." "Locomotive." Pretty much ALL their shit BANGS!
“Appetite for Destruction” is worthy of a full album review! Unrelated, Megadeth “Holy Wars…Punishment Due” is a must see video. The lyrics are relevant today with the current situation in the Middle East.
great song... great debut album, almost every song on this album "Appetite for Destruction" was a banger. Paradise City- video is great. check that out. Night Train, It's So Easy, My Michelle, Welcome to The Jungle was their 1st breakout song... songs from other albums.... to Check out: November Rain, Live n Let die (remake of Wings version), Civil War and one of my Fav........ PATIENCE
You guys are super open-minded. Truly rare in modern times . People who have their own individual thought process. Amazing I love it, thank you, fellas.
APPRECIATED: and a RARITY!! ❤
Agreed. They are rare these days, and I LOVE IT!!
Glad you reacted to this song; when this came out, my MOTHER was the bigger GNR fan than I 😂; she was in her late 40’s? at the time. GO, MOM!!!! 😊
GNR - it’s a family affair ❤
Wow!!!!! Thanks... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rog from what’s happening - haha, love that reference !!!
GnR brought back a little dirt in an era of hair spray and makeup. Saw them during the use your illusion tour, decent show, no rioting or anything but the real surprise was their opener.

One of the best guitar solos ever

This is such an iconic song. Slash is a wonderful guitarist. Takes me back to my 20s. What fun it was. Love what you are doing. Keep the good music coming🎵🎸🎶🎼✌️👍 Axel Rose is singing.
Lead singer is Axl Rose and he invented the dance The Axl, lol. "Civil War" 💚🤙
Did most of Steely Dan with you guys. Luv the channel! New Subscriber😌
Axl Rose!🎤
Axel Rose dances like "Rog" from "What's Happening"!!!! Hard to top that comment Gents! Hilarious!
Drums are underrated here. Steven Adler could really swing a groove. Much more the most other hard rock/metal drummers at the time.
Yep. Swing was indeed the thing that set GnR apart from their hair metal contemporaries. Largely thanks to Adler. Or, perhaps, in spite of him? Apparently the band refused to let him use a double kick pedal for that very reason. Too bad he was such a drunkard he couldn't hold down the gig long term.. from that great drummer to matt sorum. i lost interest after
Iconic album

This might be the tamest song on this album, the rest of it is pure dirt and grit. Awesome reaction as usual my friends
Eddie Van Halen played the guitar solo on Michael Jackso's "Beat it" song. Slash played guitar on Michael Jackson's "Give it to Me" & intro on "Black or White" songs.

To me they were the best rock band of the 90s just like Van Halen was in the 80s and Zeppelin was in the 70s. They were the it band
The Axl Shuffle
NEVER FORGET NEVER!! W. AXL ROSE.. NEVER FORGET!!! I think peeps forget he was probly the greatest lyricist of rock ever!! Nobody can put pen to paper like W. AXL ROSE, nobody
Audioslave "Like a Stone". Vocals are top notch.
Being a Boomer, this hits me in the right spot. The 90s were 'different ' but G&R I can relate to.👍🏼💯
Axle Rose is lead singer for Guns-n-Roses and they are an Awesome band from the '80's and '90's. I have enjoyed their for a long time. Other singers and bands to react to, 1. Shannon - Let the music play, 2. Foreigner- I'm hot blooded, 3. Journey, - Don't stop Believin' to name a few.
I just saw them last night. ❤❤❤
Axl Rose said in an interview that Izzy Stradlin (the guitar player with the short hair and sunglasses) wrote the majority of the "riffs" on that first album. Every song is pretty catchy so, that's a pretty cool claim to fame.
Yep, the original lineup consisted of Axl on vocals ,Slash guitar, Izzy guitar, Duff bass and Steven (popcorn) Adler on drums
"Axles are for greasing, not for taking pictures" Clint Eastwood.
Guns n Roses is in the upper echelon of American Rock Bands! This album is a classic / masterpiece. Thanks for not interrupting Slash! ♥
Axl Rose said that Lynyrd Skynyrd's music was the inspiration for this song.
That's one of the greatest guitar solos I've ever heard in my life.
Paradise City. Official video is awesome!
Saw them Live back in the day and OMG the energy was crazy. Axl wasn't too wasted lol so it was a great show. We were all crushing on him at the time, incredibly talented band but he was definitely a troubled artist. This song is still on my Playlist, probably always will be. 🤘❤️🔥

Slash is a baaaaaaaad man 🔥
Ustedes son espectaculares..😉
Great reaction ! I remember when this album came out. It was so big at the time no other band could touch these guys. Slash's guitar playing with Axel's voice was just devastating together.
Always keep rockin no matter what - doesn't matter how many years go by - this is the kind of stuff that keeps you livin the best
Rocket Queen , Mr. Brownstone
''CIVIL WAR''...#1, "MR BROWNSTONE", ''NIGHTTRAIN" and their "KNOCKIN ON HEAVENS DOOR" cover...
This album dropped when I was 14....and was the sound track for the wanton destruction of empty bottles and broken hearts left in its wake.
Great song. And in my opinion the video makes the vibe & song soooo much better. I love this song. My ex would play this alot. 👍 😋
Great song!! Its my 2nd favorite song by Guns N Roses. My favorite is Welcome to the Jungle. Axl Rose is a very good singer. 👍 ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Rocket Queen! Rocket Queen! Rocket Queen!! Please 🥺❤️✌🏼
Love this song it's my Daughter's ringtone 😊
The lead singer is Axl Rose and the guitarist is Slash. His abilities are pretty genius. Thank you for sharing this one.
Once again brothers, you two killed this reaction. Why I love watching you guys!!!!!
Slash is the lead guitarist and he is considered one of the greatest guitarist in music history
IMO, one of the best produced rock albums ever.
Quick correction: Eddie Van Halen was the guy who did the guitar solo on Beat It. Although never performed it alongside MJ live. Slash was on Give In to Me and Played live alongside.
and I think played on Black or White.
Love you guys.!!! Appreciate ya so much.!!
Love the variety! Keep it going please.!! 👍 👏👏
I love the Tommy album cover in the background!

Appetite For Destruction is worthy of a full album review for sure.
Peak Guns n Roses was Appetite for Destruction
I just watched your Traffic video, Low Spark of High Healed Boys. Welcome to the wonder world of Steve Winwood and his super group that featured Dave Mason as well. Try " 10,000 Headmen" if you dug Low Spark. These guys were English and a real part of the British explosion. Super musicians playing incredible music.
Saw them back int he early 90's at Giant stadium in NJ. G and R plus Deep Purple and Areosmith. Glad I subbed to your channel.

It’s was Eddie Van Halen who played on the MJ song .
Yep. Michael had asked Pete Townshend to play on it. Pete couldn't do it, but he suggested Eddie to Michael, and the rest, as they say, is history.
@@dansmedstadmedia I did not know that he asked Townsend . Eddie never got paid . He never brought it up . Strange .
More of a rose guy myself, still holding out hope for Garland Jeffreys, hail hail Rock and roll. Keeping the faith.
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators.. Anastasia live from Sydney. Great start

Give in to Me, by Michael Jackson. Awesome guitar!
Unfortunately, MTV cut the "heaviest" (as the singer called it) part of the song at 3:45, a sort of micro-solo that bleeds emotion. The singer is W. Still love this song!!

My men...love your channel. Eddie VanHalen played on Beat It.
Definitely the live version of Paradise City has to be next.
At 0:49 the drummer has blond hair but at 5:11 the drummer has dark hair. I never noticed this before.
