I’ve got a 3.4L 2J stroker swapped e30.... Don’t feel discouraged, $26,000 and some change on the engine and turbo kit itself, $5,000 or so to get it into the car (mounts, trans, driveshaft, etc...) and I haven’t done any suspension upgrades or anything yet... It’s a painful journey, but it’ll be worth it when I can rip a 1,000 horsepower 2J swapped E30 through my neighborhood a few times before it breaks...
People have no clue how fast a build adds up !!! Like everyone said you’re doing it right but your wallet is screaming stop !!! Never sell this car and drive it don’t make it a garage queen !!!! Love your work !!!

Engine machine work $6000. Skunk2 cams $550, there is a shit ton more and i dont want to talk about it because its way to painful 😂🤣😅 PS. This quickly came one of my all time favorite videos. Maaan, I so feel the sting at the end of this video. I've been working on a MK3 Supra for like 2 years. R154, 2JZGTE, AEM6, KMC Rockstar wheels, Toyo R1R's that may dryrot before it rolls, new Tein Coilovers..etc etc. I'm about 10k in, but I started with the shell, engine and transmission all together just sitting in the car, not even bolted down for $2,800. I think the only way to do this cheap...er is to get the fire sale when someone with high hopes has finally had enough and rage quits. I also just bought a $700 E30. needs a new brake system and radiator and then it's drift..ish ready. Also from someone's rage quit. I'm beginning to feel like a vulture LOL.

Once I was about to tear my stock car apart for a v8 swap then realized that if I spend 8k on the swap and do it myself I'll have a car in pieces in my driveway not running. But if I sell my stock car and wait for the nice v8 swapped car I wanted to do. I'll spend about the same but I will put the car on the road and enjoy it right now. I'm currently daily driving the v8 swap I bought. It's great.

Really, I used to spend a good amount of time in Germany a lot of back and forth from 2007-2012. I would have never thought that it would be that expensive there. Given how cheap one could find BMW parts and Mercedes parts in country.
And I’m crying because my rear running lamps want illuminate.😓 all suggestions are welcome 91 e30 vert*... First it was only they left rear lamp, usually I’ll whack it and it’ll work. Now both are completely out. But all other lights work. Bought new bulbs and checked connections still want illuminate. Signals and brake lights are working fine. HELP ME E30 FAM!!! I can’t drive at night 🤦🏾♂️

@@WelcomeToTheMadness probably would be better to email you but I spent about the same for the motor, we used an E36 trans with Collins adapter, a 500mi used 58/62 turbo, PPF manifold, open box Bosch injectors from a failed build, same for the intercooler and I built the harness myself. I think even you can agree you don't NEED the top of the line everything to get the car running. I wish I could afford to spend like that but having a budget had it benefits too i.e. my car runs. I envy your build but there are other (cheaper) ways to accomplish the same goals.
No man can tell another what he should do but there are more ways to skin a cat. If this is your dream car then what the hell. If you wound up head over heals only because you are able to piece the $$ together then satisfaction will never be achieved, i.e. money pit, to be looked at somewhere in the future as a waist of time, (ask me how I know). Easier said then done but probably better to cut the loses and find a way to wrap things up and get the car on the road cuz if your not some pro racer over built for the street gets you no where. Nice shiny pretty parts, though.

Chances are it’s not grounding properly. Find your grounding points and clean them all up and test it.

Oh and I stand corrected I just looked at my totals 6600. We replaced a clutch, axles, fuel pump and various oils and gaskets, plus the tune.
