Stock 7MGTE bottom end is good for 500hp+ with a standalone. Personally, I wouldn't bother building a 7M for high HP. Too many nuances. Just buy a 2JZGE VVTI and go forged. This comes from someone who runs a 7MGTE. It's a great street engine, but it's not people's first choice.
Great history lesson. But seriously who is going to use a stock 30yr old engine these days? I can suggest revisiting this video with refresh and basic rebuild.
@@Mlo0o7y you use the 7m bushings but you need to buy metsl mounts that bolt to the 1j... theyre like 40 bucks. Im finishing up my engine build right now, and ill be fitting it in within a week, hopefully.

I just want the link for the Supra shirts😅
7M-GTE for life. Just requires proper prep. Not swapping what my '92 came with. 400-500HP is more than enough to fun and more importantly, reliable.
Those suckers are like 200lbs lighter than a 2j with 60 less hp right? 7ms sound killer too
@@Athoroughgamer how so? i weighed my 7mgte with r154 on before i put it back in and was 277kg/620lbs dry
Can it get up to 2jz power levels
@@fnafplayer6447 Properly built, sure. All you need is boost and fuel.
@@fnafplayer6447I've seen some around 1000HP before.
I always imagined having a 1Jz swapped MK3... Now that I have an MK3, I prefer having the 7MGTE tbh.
1jzgte vvti is the harmony to my soul
2jz-gte hands down. No question.

Have my eyes on an aristo v300 with the 2jz Gte since Mk4's are going for insane prices
I have a 7mgte and ITS faster than any hemi 6.4 FAST AS HECK! I run them all the time
You could get a 2jz ge and convert it
definitely 2JZ bu onfortunately in my country i could only find 1JZ-GTE
We have the opposite problem in the US. 2JZ are everywhere but the 1JZ was never sold here.

What about the 1fz?
Well, i just bought a 1j... sooo...
Did It fit directly in the engine bay with the 7mgte mounting?

El 2JZ GTE tiene 2 turbos, no uno
