I would add a treble to the middle of the boilermaker, it helped me out a lot this past summer. Before doing so I lost a handful of muskies because the lure was T-boned.
This video couldnt have come at a better time I target a river that I want to catch a topwater muskie in and it and have been trying to figure out what bait would be best and I'm going with the whopper plopper youd suggested thanks for the awesome content.
I fish a small river that gets a normal amount of pressure. I like to use prop baits and they do decent. But do you think big fish can get fooled on them still or if everyone is throwing them will they wise up?
@taylormyers I'd say if you're concerned that prop baits might be overused on your particular river, maybe try using a small walk the dog style topwater instead. Good luck out there!
My tackle box is full. But I'm still buying baits. The addiction is real.
Kevin Wimmer You're darn right it is!
This for Nate cause is willing to try different stuff :) Mini and Baby Beaver are great river baits
Christopher LaCoste Just to show you that I pay attention to the comments, I bought a baby beaver and I plan on giving it a whirl!

J Dean She was a pretty one!
I was gonna try a spillway here in illinois, threw 2 boilermakers in my box. Glad to see I’m reasonable in my choices!
DrFrankensteam Definitely a good choice!
Great video as always dude! I need to fish more rivers. Wish iowa rivers had them!

@@TeamHatchetOutdoors I know there are some but it’s not like Wisco or Minnesota

Which whopper plopper is this, 110 or 130. Great videos!
@johnferrente1261 it's a 130. Perfect size for small river muskies!
Good stuff, thanks!!
Dean Mentjes You bet!
