There’s one thing about the idea of Nintendo Kart that really bugs me, and that’s track selection. Tracks are the most important part of any mariokart game, and the unique themes and layouts they provide is like half the fun of every new game in the series. With a nintendo kart, the courses are very likely going to be more generic. It’s just “here’s a popular location from this one game!” Which to me feels like a major downgrade from the incredibly unique course themes that we’ve had in mariokart games up until this point.
edit: after watching the video… I’m not convinced. We only got one example for each franchise except pokémon. If you’re genuinely claiming you can come up with 4 unique starfox tracks I would frankly love to see it.
What about the F-Zero and Animal Crossing courses in MK8DX
Put more other stuff in Mario Kart

In general: I like the crossover courses in 8 (especially animal crossing) but some of them really wouldn’t be as special if every track was a crossover course. Most iconic locations in these franchises are… obviously not the same looking but still fall under some version of grass or forest land (zelda, pokemon, mario, even kirby to some extent)
In this concept: I have even more questions, with 4 courses per series we end up having even less variety. Sure, series like Mario and Kirby have a ton of iconic locales to pick from. But series like Starfox just don’t

i cant speak for him but if nintendo were to make a nintendo kart i can see them keeping rosalina, she seems to be the next character theyre trying to put into every spinoff (i guess for more female representation?) even pauline seems to be getting into more spinoffs lately

The thing about Nintendo Kart is that it may inevitably mean LESS Mario. Expect Waluigi, Funky, and others to be cut and you won't get as many original Mario Kart tracks either. 🤷
If Nintendo Kart becomes a reality, we NEED a Pikmin track. The world of Pikmin would translate really well to a race course imo!

For a Legend of Zelda item, I would’ve chose the hook shot. You could hook onto another player or object on the track and grapple in front of that player or object

I have a vision for the tracks and the whole "Nintendo Kart" approach. Imagine a huge map divided by environments (jungle/forest, open sea, city, space, etc.) and each section has tracks from different franchises in that theme. To unlock stuff, you would need to beat certain maps in a certain order back to back. Every last track of these "challenges" is a one-lap map with a unique and flashy systems that makes that track a final difficult race (a Pokemon map has pokemon fighting with unpredictable moves changing the track, StarFox map has ships fighting and shooting everywhere, etc.) The more you progress in the game, the longer the "challenges", the harder the AI (maybe minibosses like in N64's Lego racer?)

If this is a separate game like how persona is separate from smt, then sure it could work. If it is not separate, then no. Plus I don't need items that are more broken than the boomerang and fire
We need the wild area in sword and shield for a Pokémon track, we need Waluigi, and a booster course including paper mario: color splash, Mario 64 (if u pirate the game u get the warriors apparition as a cool callback to creepy pastas), daisy, toad, wiggler, kamek, and 3D world

Alr, let’s debunk this entire thing.
1. An insider had already told us the next mario kart is mario kart.
2. Why tf would adding characters that no one cares and tracks that no one talks about make sense. That’s why no one used honey bee queen back in mk7 even she’s tied with metal mario in that game.
3. The items are too over powered, sure they are cool, but for the person who gets screwed over this is not, if this needs to be balanced these op items should only be like a 0.5% percent chance to get from 12th
4. Adding wario but not waluigi should be a crime
5. “Repackaging older tracks makes 0 sense” so you’re telling me most people like idk a random pokemon stage and a starfox stage as the rainbow roud more than coconut mall and wii rainbow road
6. Piranha plants on parade as a track is basically baby park but having an actual track layout, also just remixing the song from it would probably sound out of place for a racing game
7. We’ve already had dk jungle, why would adding dk country make any sense
8. Splatoon courses as tracks would be absolute unenjoyable if they kept the og designs, and if that revamped it, it would look nothing like the course
9. Having another track like excite bike arena but it not being excite bike arena pulls all the fun out of it
10. The yoshi tongue and kirby star won’t be fun, first if these are comeback items, than they are worst than any items already in mk8d, and if they are obtained in higher placements, then it would be too op, 5th place would probably be shot to 10th with the kirby star, also being in timeout in the yoshi egg is not fun at all, especially if the egg user is in 10th so it’s impossible to get hit
11. The barrel is cool but i think having it like a fireflower where it can be used for 10 secs it too op, the road is completely blocked by then, so only like 3 drops should be good, and when hit it would drop 3 bananas instead

It Has gotten some soundtrack Covers in Smash Bros and themes on the 3Ds. And theirs also an Ashley Assist trophy sure maybe to you it’s not that much.

This will NEVER Happen Because it would Cause a identity crisis due to the fact it’s Called MARIO Kart,they Probably Port over ALL Karts from Tour just like most of the Retro Tracks that were cut out from the BCP & Piranha Plant Pipeline As Nitro Track

How about instead: Super Smash Cart.
A cart game, but you can do the Smash moves to attack other players while you're driving. Item Boxes aren't just shells and bananas, but beam swords, poke balls, and fire flowers.

Yoshi’s crafted race so it’s basically Yoshi’s crafted world in a oh racetrack
you know they could just do a pokemon sword here, rip some of the assets, everyone will over-react for like a year, then no one will give a crap anymore and start finding good things about the game
they could also do a smash ultimate bowser jr and make bowser jr and the others as bowser's other costumes
and for everyone else, most of the new characters will most likely be dlc

Unfortunately, I don't see the next Mario Kart becoming a Nintendo Kart. The next Mario Kart game would probably be just another typical Mario Kart game that tries new things by introducing a new gimmick and having 32 tracks (16 new, 16 old). So I don't really expect much besides better graphics, better gameplay and fewer but better tracks.

This is most likely just a spin-off of a spin-off if it happens because...
One, they ✂️ Piranha Plant Pipeline in the Booster Course Pass, and I know Mario Kart Tour will shut down.
Two, the Mario series (+ spin-offs like Wario) would get less attention.
And three, They could not call it Mario Kart Crossover because half might not be Mario related.
Ninten-Kart may happen, but it's most likely just be a spin-off of a spin-off, and Mario Kart WILL be Mario Kart FOREVER.

You’re telling me that Rosalina got in over Toad, Daisy, or Waluigi?! Besides Galaxy(and Mario Kart Wii), Rosalina has been a bland, boring, no personality addition. She’s been literally Peach(tbf, Peach has more character since the movie and her upcoming game). Good ideas, but the roster needs work in my opinion
