If you replace Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Pink Gold Peach, and Metal Mario and have them be simply costumes for Mario and Peach, there would be space for 4 more characters, and that would be enough to include EVERY character in the series.
I don't like being that kind of guy, but Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Metal - Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach have very different stats from Mario and Peach, and even tho i see Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach ending like this, having M.Mario, G.Mario and P.G.Peach as alternate costumes when they are litterally made out of Metal, Gold and Pink Gold respectively wouldn't make any sense.

@@Lagw1020 The villagers and the Inklings shared similar stats, that's why they didn't make so much of a change, plus, they can weight the same as their counterparts, the Male Villager can weight the same as The Female Villager and the Inkling Girl can weight the same as the Inkling Boy, those are the same reasons why in Smash they are alternate costumes instead of echo or separated characters, because they are mostly the same. While with Metal - Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach is almost impossible, even though they are just Mario and Peach made out of metal/gold, since they are made by this material, the weights are very different from Mario and Peach, and taking this in mind, that's why i see Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach more probable to end like alternate costumes, because they are just Mario and Peach in full-body costumes, so they don't change the weight too much unlike MM and PGP. I only have 6 issues here: - The order of the cups os kinda messy - Honeybee hive?.. idk i kinda prefer make a new nitro tour track based on a living room - lack of new things.. I would prefer add something new to the list such as returning items and new battle tracks - instead of 2 mii suits ill go with 3 instead ik the entore list of the mii suits from tour - only 1 character per wave? You could do the same that the devs made with wave 6 mix up 2 similar characters in one in this case Combine tanooki mario, metal mario with normal mario and pink gold Peach and cat Peach with normal Peach so we can get 4 free spots! - no color alts for toad??!

honestly i hope for MK9 (if you count Tour, MK10) to pull a smash ultimate and include every Track, Character, alternate costumes, vehicle, game mode and item. + adding new features like custom colors for characters and vehicles, custom animations for stunts, getting hit, hitting someone and finishing the race new characters and vehicles can be unlocked by winning cups and time trials, while the alternate costumes, custom colors and custom animations can be obtained by collecting coins
It sounds good on paper, but I think the only reason Smash was like that because the creator doesn't plan on making any more games in the series. We've had no indication that Mario Kart is coming to an end so if they do make MKX that, what are they supposed to do afterwards?? How are you supposed to live up to and improve on a game that has just everything. If they were going to go down that route they would've just added everything to MK8DX since so much is already there.
I should be nice if Nintendo developes a new Mario Kart racing game with all the Nintendo characters in it. For example Samus Aran from Metroid, Kirby, Ness (Earthbound), Ice Climbers, Kid Icarus and lots more. Just like the Super Smash Brothers series. Every Nintendo character in it's own vehicle and a racing track based on the world in the game the character plays a role in. How does it like. The title must been called 'Mario Kart Ultimate' or otherwise 'Nintendo Racing'.

This is an odd choice, but I would've really liked to see Nintendo remake N64 Banshee Boardwalk. Give it the Boo Lake treatment and sink parts of the track underwater and turn them anti-gravity. Maybe even sink the house section and have that be anti gravity. It would also be really fun seeing the giant fish comeback at the start of the lap
At least we see Inkling Girl and Boy and also Ink Striker and Splat Buggy are here and also the track is Urchin Underpass but in the battle course from Splatoon 1
I don’t know if they’d do something similar to Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars, release the content separate from the original version of 8 Deluxe. I know, you can argue if you want to.

I would have chosen another city in Latin America instead of New Orleans, for example Easter Island or Valparaiso, both in Chile, after all Nintendo has enemies based on moais. Regarding Piranha Pipe-line, I would not have included it, instead it could be a track inspired by Mario Party for example. But despite everything, the ones you showed were very good selections.
I would love to have a city track for Iceland, like Reykjavik Raceway or something like that. You could say that it could be too similar to Vancouver Velocity, but I think it can hold its own especially if it plays into the whole “Land of Fire and Ice” thing

I think having 4 Tour characters is a bit much… I would personally switch out Nabbit and Chargin’ Chuck for Pac-Man from the arcade games, and an entirely new character, from a different game entirely, Kirby.
You've got a few good tracks you chose in there @Mike Bryce. However, I don't quite agree with all your choices. xxXxx. Tracks I liked a mention of: 1. Blooper Cup: Auckland Acceleration. 2. Blooper Cup: DK's Jungle Parkway. 3. Bob-omb Cup: Beijing Bustle. 4. Bob-omb Cup: Yoshi Falls. 5. Super Horn Cup: Cairo Chase.
I don't want a BCP 2, but this would be a good one. However, I have some criticism on your picks: 1) Seoul, being seen by many people as a very climactic, bustling, and energetic city, wouldn't fit well for the first track, especially if you get a circuit track right after. It would be better if it was the starter track of the Green Star or Super Horn cup instead. 2) Since many people (including me) boycott going to Dubai for ethical reasons, I don't think making it a track would be profitable for marketing. This would probably ruin Nintendo's image for some people. Plus, it has the risk of clashing with Las Vegas, and tracks like Neo Bowser City or Waluigi Pinball. 3) In no way a starter course like GBA Peach Circuit would be in Wave 3 of a BCP, which is normally supposed to be more difficult than previous two. There's a reason Wave 3 was the first of the official BCP that didn't have any circuit tracks. 4) For Las Vegas, I have the same thing to say as Seoul. It could also clash with Waluigi Pinball. 5) In NO WAY simple tracks like N64 Koopa Troopa Beach, GCN Mario Circuit, and DS Yoshi Falls would be in the penultimate wave of a BCP. 6) Nintendo being Japanese, a Beijing track would probably not be in 8DX. This may even be the reason why Singapore Speedway exists in the first place: to give China some representation despite this. 7) Cairo may be a pretty famous city, but it wouldn't feel climactic enough for many people to be in the final cup. In no way a track that would already clash with many desert courses would be in the final wave. Plus, since Egypt is also controversial in terms of government, I doubt Nintendo would make a track here.
I reckon this is definitely a great idea. They need to do a booster course pass 2 and maybe a 3rd one so we can play every single track that has ever made in all off the Mario Kart games.
Making a new dlc sounds better than a new mario kart game for the switch, even if a booster course pass as great as yours ( especially for toad factory 😂 ) will probably never exist, i love the idea ! And your new ciruit ideas look great ! For a new dlc i think they would put more characters, kart elements, items and maybe some battle maps

Gonna be honest, I think adding new city tracks would be cool, but considering how Tour stopped adding content to the game, I don't see it as a possibility, thus 12 other tracks could have been picked over those. This same logic can also be applied to the "new courses" that aren't Piranha Plant Pipeline, since all the new tracks were also from Tour (they were in the files long before they were available for Tour players). Also, the RMX tracks shouldn't be part of a BCP2, and I don't care how "bland" you think the SNES tracks are normally, they're still good as they are. However, I do think the RMX tracks can be added as a bonus feature (like how Custom Items and the Jukebox were bonus features added in waves 3 and 6 respectively). Speaking of bonus features, here are some I thought of: -Reverse mode (playing the tracks backward); and reverse time trials. -50cc and 100cc time trials -Mirror mode being playable outside of 150cc. -Battle mode update (new courses, rework of Bob-omb blast). The rework is necessary because custom items made this mode useless, and a battle update is much needed, as it was abandoned since launch. -Return of classic balloon battle mode (not removing the current one, just making both co-exist) -Addition of Shine runners battle mode from MKDS. -Allowing players to battle on select race tracks (like in Wii U and Tour), and to race on select battle courses (like in Wii's online tournament mode). -More Kart Parts (self explanatory). -More custom mode freedom (being able to play as many rounds as you want with the minimum being 1) -Foldering the character costumes to allow for more character slots. -Fixing gameplay errors with certain tracks (example: removing the random ramp in lap 2 of Kalamari Desert). This would unfortunately mean the time trials would be reset for tracks effected (if the change is so drastic. -Mission Mode? (mostly just the challenge missions from DS and Tour). -More Tour character costumes (doesn't affect stats). -Adding back previously removed mechanics (such as firehopping and demon-sliding from Wii U) -Allowing players to opt for 1, 2 or 3 item slots for custom races. -Adding Item Frenzy from Tour (player must have 3 slots as the chosen mode). -Toggle for players to turn off their flag in online races (showing what country/city they're from). Currently, the game doxxing what country you live in is the main reason I don't play online in Mario Kart, so having this just be an option would be nice. Most of these probably won't be added, but hey, one can dream.
To be fair I think wave 2 of the booster course pass DLC should have SNES Mario Circuit 4 instead of 3 bc Mario Circuit 4 is so underrated Edit: in wave 3, Merry mountain should be replaced with GBA Bowser Castle 4
For me, there are only two tracks that are missing. The dessert track from Mario Kart DS and the Rainbow Road from Mario Kart DS like you already mentioned.
Honeycomb Hive and Super Nintendo World are both PHENOMENAL ideas for tracks. Both really creative/original while still keeping to the spirit of Mario Kart.
I really hope this doesn't happen and we finally get a new mainline Mario Kart game instead. I would literally PASS OUT FROM EXCITEMENT if they made a Super Nintendo World track. Maybe even make it apart of the “Universal” cup from the ride. That seems like it would be really fun!
I would like - 4-6 more cups (genuinely do not mind 4 cups due to the sheer quantity of tracks) (maybe have a cup with 4 rainbow roads or bowser castles) - 4-6 more characters (Idm) - 4-6 more battle arenas (Delfino Pier, Block Fort, Pipe Plaza, Honeybee Hive) - 4-6 more items (Fake Item Box, Giant Banana, Bowser Shell, Mega Mushroom... two new items) - A custom cup/track selection creator (for vs race) - A double dash mode

Imagine a city track that is in sections instead of laps which takes place just going along the entire Gulf Coast. we could call it Gulf Coast Chase or something like that.
I would've swapped out RMX Mario Circuit 1 with SNES Koopa Beach 2. For one, we already have SNES Mario Circuit 3 via the actual BCP; adding a second one that looks practically the same, would be redundant, and NOT adding RMX Donut Plains 1 when it looks more distinct compared to the MK8 version of SNES Donut Plains 3 would be hypocritical. And for two, with Mario Circuit 3, Donut Plains 3, Bowser Castle 3 and Rainbow Road in MK8, and with Ghost Valley, Vanilla Lake and Choco Island in this hypothetical BCP, Koopa Beach would be the ONLY SNES course theme that is NOT in MK8 yet. Also, the Roaring Racer Mii Racing Suit is NOT based on Jaxi from Mario Odyssey; it, like the Roaring Racer kart, is actually based on Singapore's Merlion fountain statue. Speaking of Mario Odyssey though, I think it would be fair if we got a new course based on that game, as well as 3D World, Bowser's Fury and Wonder. It's kinda weird that Tour never had a track based on Odyssey at all, I think it would be fun to drive through the New Donk City Festival. It would also be neat to have a beach course based on Lake Lapcat from Bowser's Fury, as well as a single-lap, three-section version of Bowser's Castle that takes you through the Bowser Land theme park from 3D World, the Japan-inspired Bowser Kingdom from Odyssey, and the factories of Castle Bowser from Mario Bros Wonder. Also where's the Waluigi Mii Racing Suit

It’s still weird that from the whole 2 booster passes, only 1 in South America and only 2 in Africa. It does say a lot of how the rest of the world see us I do appreciate the diverse tracks in Asia but I’m against two or more tracks in a single country. And thus, no track in South Asia Meanwhile New Orleans, Mexico City, Las Vegas and Toronto on top of Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles? All 7 from North America At least there’s no more European tracks
nice picks, but there are a few changes i would make like instead of Super Nintendo World, the Jungle Kingdom from the Mario movie DS Rainbow Road or Bowser Castle instead of one of the 2 in the video also 1 crossover track, on the Wii U we had DK and for DLC Zelda, Animal Crossing & 2 F-Zero and on Switch, Yoshi was added (and Splatoon in the basegame battle mode), so i want to see another crossover track, maybe Wario Land? and even though i love R.O.B., he is my main wherever he is playable, i can't see him in MK8D for 1 simple reason... how would he ride a bike?
Why Nintendo doesn't have a City Track about Moskau? Is there a reason they didn't ad it. And there is also no track like Peking. Is this because Nintendo doesn't like that citys or is it forbidden to create them?

This looks really good! My Only minor complaint is that there isn’t Wario Colosseum which is a fan favorite. But at least there is N64 Wario Stadium. And at least Luigi finally gets a Race Course in the Game.

I know there are already quite a few European cities in the actual BCP, but no new one is criminal. I’d say a Vienna Venture, Copenhagen Cruise or a Moscow Motorway would be cool.

And super Mario bros wonder with the flower kingdom as a track and BOTW/totk’s version of hyrule going through the depths, surface, and sky

If we're talking about underrated tracks, i would love to see some love for DS Bowser's castle
This is an odd choice, but I would've really liked to see Nintendo remake N64 Banshee Boardwalk. Give it the Boo Lake treatment and sink parts of the track underwater and turn them anti-gravity. Maybe even sink the house section and have that be anti gravity. It would also be really fun seeing the giant fish comeback at the start of the lap

I would have chosen another city in Latin America instead of New Orleans, for example Easter Island or Valparaiso, both in Chile, after all Nintendo has enemies based on moais. Regarding Piranha Pipe-line, I would not have included it, instead it could be a track inspired by Mario Party for example. But despite everything, the ones you showed were very good selections.

It's actually hilarious to think that no one gave a dam about BC4 for two decades yet now people like you are acting as if you really miss it or whatever.
I think having 4 Tour characters is a bit much… I would personally switch out Nabbit and Chargin’ Chuck for Pac-Man from the arcade games, and an entirely new character, from a different game entirely, Kirby.
You've got a few good tracks you chose in there @Mike Bryce. However, I don't quite agree with all your choices. xxXxx.
Tracks I liked a mention of:
1. Blooper Cup: Auckland Acceleration.
2. Blooper Cup: DK's Jungle Parkway.
3. Bob-omb Cup: Beijing Bustle.
4. Bob-omb Cup: Yoshi Falls.
5. Super Horn Cup: Cairo Chase.
I don't want a BCP 2, but this would be a good one.
However, I have some criticism on your picks:
1) Seoul, being seen by many people as a very climactic, bustling, and energetic city, wouldn't fit well for the first track, especially if you get a circuit track right after. It would be better if it was the starter track of the Green Star or Super Horn cup instead.
2) Since many people (including me) boycott going to Dubai for ethical reasons, I don't think making it a track would be profitable for marketing. This would probably ruin Nintendo's image for some people. Plus, it has the risk of clashing with Las Vegas, and tracks like Neo Bowser City or Waluigi Pinball.
3) In no way a starter course like GBA Peach Circuit would be in Wave 3 of a BCP, which is normally supposed to be more difficult than previous two. There's a reason Wave 3 was the first of the official BCP that didn't have any circuit tracks.
4) For Las Vegas, I have the same thing to say as Seoul. It could also clash with Waluigi Pinball.
5) In NO WAY simple tracks like N64 Koopa Troopa Beach, GCN Mario Circuit, and DS Yoshi Falls would be in the penultimate wave of a BCP.
6) Nintendo being Japanese, a Beijing track would probably not be in 8DX. This may even be the reason why Singapore Speedway exists in the first place: to give China some representation despite this.
7) Cairo may be a pretty famous city, but it wouldn't feel climactic enough for many people to be in the final cup. In no way a track that would already clash with many desert courses would be in the final wave. Plus, since Egypt is also controversial in terms of government, I doubt Nintendo would make a track here.

I can't believe why GCN Mushroom Bridge and Piranha Plant Pipeline didn't come in Wave 6.
Gonna be honest, I think adding new city tracks would be cool, but considering how Tour stopped adding content to the game, I don't see it as a possibility, thus 12 other tracks could have been picked over those. This same logic can also be applied to the "new courses" that aren't Piranha Plant Pipeline, since all the new tracks were also from Tour (they were in the files long before they were available for Tour players).
Also, the RMX tracks shouldn't be part of a BCP2, and I don't care how "bland" you think the SNES tracks are normally, they're still good as they are. However, I do think the RMX tracks can be added as a bonus feature (like how Custom Items and the Jukebox were bonus features added in waves 3 and 6 respectively).
Speaking of bonus features, here are some I thought of:
-Reverse mode (playing the tracks backward); and reverse time trials.
-50cc and 100cc time trials
-Mirror mode being playable outside of 150cc.
-Battle mode update (new courses, rework of Bob-omb blast). The rework is necessary because custom items made this mode useless, and a battle update is much needed, as it was abandoned since launch.
-Return of classic balloon battle mode (not removing the current one, just making both co-exist)
-Addition of Shine runners battle mode from MKDS.
-Allowing players to battle on select race tracks (like in Wii U and Tour), and to race on select battle courses (like in Wii's online tournament mode).
-More Kart Parts (self explanatory).
-More custom mode freedom (being able to play as many rounds as you want with the minimum being 1)
-Foldering the character costumes to allow for more character slots.
-Fixing gameplay errors with certain tracks (example: removing the random ramp in lap 2 of Kalamari Desert). This would unfortunately mean the time trials would be reset for tracks effected (if the change is so drastic.
-Mission Mode? (mostly just the challenge missions from DS and Tour).
-More Tour character costumes (doesn't affect stats).
-Adding back previously removed mechanics (such as firehopping and demon-sliding from Wii U)
-Allowing players to opt for 1, 2 or 3 item slots for custom races.
-Adding Item Frenzy from Tour (player must have 3 slots as the chosen mode).
-Toggle for players to turn off their flag in online races (showing what country/city they're from). Currently, the game doxxing what country you live in is the main reason I don't play online in Mario Kart, so having this just be an option would be nice.
Most of these probably won't be added, but hey, one can dream.

Having Super Nintendo World in a Mario or Nintendo related game reminds me of how Kingdom Hearts fans want Disney World in a Kingdom Hearts game.
Honeycomb Hive and Super Nintendo World are both PHENOMENAL ideas for tracks. Both really creative/original while still keeping to the spirit of Mario Kart.

- A custom cup/track selection creator (for vs race)
- A double dash mode

Imagine a city track that is in sections instead of laps which takes place just going along the entire Gulf Coast. we could call it Gulf Coast Chase or something like that.
I would've swapped out RMX Mario Circuit 1 with SNES Koopa Beach 2. For one, we already have SNES Mario Circuit 3 via the actual BCP; adding a second one that looks practically the same, would be redundant, and NOT adding RMX Donut Plains 1 when it looks more distinct compared to the MK8 version of SNES Donut Plains 3 would be hypocritical. And for two, with Mario Circuit 3, Donut Plains 3, Bowser Castle 3 and Rainbow Road in MK8, and with Ghost Valley, Vanilla Lake and Choco Island in this hypothetical BCP, Koopa Beach would be the ONLY SNES course theme that is NOT in MK8 yet.
Also, the Roaring Racer Mii Racing Suit is NOT based on Jaxi from Mario Odyssey; it, like the Roaring Racer kart, is actually based on Singapore's Merlion fountain statue.
Speaking of Mario Odyssey though, I think it would be fair if we got a new course based on that game, as well as 3D World, Bowser's Fury and Wonder. It's kinda weird that Tour never had a track based on Odyssey at all, I think it would be fun to drive through the New Donk City Festival. It would also be neat to have a beach course based on Lake Lapcat from Bowser's Fury, as well as a single-lap, three-section version of Bowser's Castle that takes you through the Bowser Land theme park from 3D World, the Japan-inspired Bowser Kingdom from Odyssey, and the factories of Castle Bowser from Mario Bros Wonder.

I know there are already quite a few European cities in the actual BCP, but no new one is criminal. I’d say a Vienna Venture, Copenhagen Cruise or a Moscow Motorway would be cool.
